I haven't even watched T.V. in ages, if I've ever watched the news it's just for the weather at the end or if I'm waiting for a good movie to come on T.V. the news is legitimately just all the bad stuff because it's marketable and the only thing they want to show. But I watch anime or read manga or comics literally every day and has inspired many things in my art and the way I imagine stuff, it's also helped shape a lot of things that I like nowadays and was a big part of my childhood too. I'm 24 myself and one of the few people I know in real life that watches animation and reads comics and novels and stuff.

About learning from anime, From Re:Zero I learnt to not try too hard for something, ask for help If I can't do it alone, don't take all burden upon myself, From One Piece my viewpoint changed a lot, like very different, I realised I was wrong about many things and started to care more about "me time" than before, zoro taught importance of sleep, Sanji and Luffy taught importance of food and never wasting it, from Saitama to work hard and when I am best at something don't seek recognition

Literally paused the ad that plays before the video starts because I have the answer to the title before the video even starts. Warning, this is my own opinion and thought process. Life sucks ass. Like, goddamn, the amount of shit that happened at the start of the 20s alone is enough to drain your entire soul. It does not help that news outlets refuse to show anything positive, and if they do, it's a mile in-between the bad. The amount of bad stuff I heard just by listening in once, yes ONCE, not actively listening or watching, was extremely heartbreaking. So many lives gone because of bad people. It was disgusting what I just simply overheard. That's why I choose to be blissfully ignorant. I literally have no control over the shitstorm called life. So why worry myself by watching the news?

Also most western media to me is demorilizing to me. From euphoria to 10 reasons why, from rick and morty to new family guy and simpsons. Even things most people liked like The whale is demoralizing; The protagonist just wanted to die instead of better himself and I do not believe that his daughter was redeem; she will spent all that money in useless things, how can you value money over having a father. I am not saying Japanese media is pure goodness (I could rant to no end about the animes I found horrible) but the stories that hit me from Japan have stayed on my mind to this day inspiring me to be a better person or at the very least making me have a good time.

There is a reason cartoons and anime are considered childish, if you look into the history of it or Comics, they used to be for everyone, even adults and was a thing not to be judged by because everyone did it, but then some movement came to America, I forgot off the top of my head, and at this same time I belive comics and cartoons were failing, so when they got a leg again the movement already did its toll, and said that it's for kids and of your an adult you were lazy/childish and or a druggy, which was wild because like it was only a decade and most of America switched their mind sets to the movement, but luckily were coming to a golden age (I don't mean the best) of comics and cartoons again, just meaning it's being more accepted again, and anime is just viewed as cartoons, and it gets looped in, but with the newest age of cartoons being really childish, that could hurt the future view, but that we will have to see, luckily adult cartoons are taking off again

Honestly I’d rather watch Vegeta pushing himself to the absolute limit to surpass Goku, nearly breaking himself apart because he’s determined to do something. Him telling Trunks “You will be the best or you will be nothing!” Stuck out so much that whenever I feel myself burning out from either college work or at the gym, it echoes in my head, and I get right back to it! It’s POSITIVE. I’d much rather that than listen to the millionth world ending tragedy by CNN or Fox.

I had an infinitely better time watching Made in Abyss than watching the news and Made in Abyss is notorious for how dark and depressing it can get, to the point people even say it rivals Berserk, so that says a lot about the news

I want to share my experience...after my 12th standard i gave entrance exams in many colleges...two of them were my dream colleges between them one i was very sure i will get into...but while giving the exam my brain stopped functioning and i poorly performed in the exam..it was such a heart breaking for me that in all the other exams i performed bad. I went to a very bad college and was thinking myself as a worthless being...then my friend suggested mw naruto...while watching it i felt...why not try again dont give up...then i started to prepare for the college entrance exams again along with my college works and studies...i even passed in both of those dream institutes ...now i am studying the subject i treasure the most...thats my friend who recommended me anime and naruto holds a special place in my heart
