49:30 "why does she look like Charles lee ray but in girl form?" That would be due to the fact that Nica is played by Charles'(Brad Dourif) daughter Fiona Dourif hahaha. If you watch the TV show, she also plays her father in the flashback scenes when Charles is younger.
cant believe i was afraid of Chucky, he's is a badass. aside from looking fake as fuck, I was born in 94 and this is the first time i dare saying this, fuck you chuky!, i admire you
@@rogeliofelix13As a kid I was always told stories about people sneaking into peoples backseats at places like gas stations as a cautionary tale to always check the backseat at night.
Loved your reactions! There is a Chucky TV series that you can watch on Peacock and it picks up right where the Cult of Chucky movie ends. And you said that Nica looked like a female Charles Lee Ray and the actress is Fiona Dourif, the real-life daughter of Brad Dourif (Chucky/Charles Lee Ray) ♥
You should definitely check out the series, it's not as good as the movies overall (well Season one is really solid) but it ties a lot of things together. My ranks for Child's Play movies from best to worst as an oldschool Chucky fan being an 80's kid. 1. Child's Play 2 2. Child's Play 3. Child's Play 3 4. Curse of Chucky 5. Bride of Chucky 6. Cult of Chucky 7. Child's Play remake 8. Seed of Chucky
I grew up with these movies. At least the first 3. The posters were the first thing I saw, and the posters alone at the video stores terrified me, and because of that I was like "I have to see these movies" and I'd see them of course cut to ribbons and with extended cuts whenever they aired on TV and every single time I'd get too scared and freak out. Eventually my mom and her boyfriend were like "I'm gonna rent all 3 movies on VHS and we are going to sit down and watch them together. All 3 in a row." and so I watched them straight on through, till it got to part 3 when Chucky comes out of the closet with the air pump. I was so terrified I ran off. But I eventually came back and watched the rest of part 2, with them in the factory and Child 3....and that cured me. I was a Chucky fan ever since...but it's never been my favorite franchise. That would be Friday the 13th and A nightmare on elm street. When Bride of Chucky came out, first off it was the late 90's; 1998. So several years after 3, and post Scream. The director also admitted he had never seen a Child's play movie before making the movie. Third of all, the entire plot of the film totally dismisses, ignored, and throws away the plot of the first 3 movies. The entire plot of the first 3 original Child's play movies, of the original franchise is Chucky trying to possess Andy because "He was the first person he told his secret to" and how did he know that? Because he went to the man who taught him voodoo and Chucky made him tell him how to get out of the body; possess Andy. Bride of chucky....he KNEW ALL ALONG?! And the answer is an amulet he was wearing when he died?! SO all 3 movies didn't even have to happen? CORRECT?! Totally retcons the original trilogy. So that was one of the many issues I had with Bride of Chucky. So ya, I didn't hate the movie, but I did have an issue with the movie as a fan of the original franchise. So it took a good solid 6 years to admit to my self and other horror fans "I actually LIKE Bride of Chucky....always kind of did?" Two of the movies retcon; Bride of Chucky and Curse of Chucky. I have learned to kind of forgive Bride of Chucky for it's retcon, but I can't forgive Curse of Chucky for it's retcon. For a long while, I've considered Child's play 2 to be my favorite, but the last 2, 3 times I've given Child's play 2 a rewatch I have enjoyed it less and less. I gave Child's play a rewatch this year and it was really good. One of the reasons is because of how they used Chucky. Which did take away my enjoyment a bit when it came to part 2, because I felt like they didn't do Chucky as good as part 2. In the first movie, it's good old 80's animatronics mixed with actual people in costume and it works. The directing. It's a great 80's slasher movie about a killer doll. Chucky is really good in the original movie. Part 2, I felt like they lost that. It felt like a far cheaper movie. So now it's hard for me to really get into Child's play 2. So ya...the best in the series to me is Child's play from 1988, the original movie.
I love how tough 80's kids had to be. Possessed dolls, witness murders, get put into mental facilities for kids. Then they wonder why generations after were so different lol. I just caught up with the 3 season of the series Chucky. It picks up where the last film left off and is a huge love letter to the Chucky fans. It would be a fun continuation to this video with a series watch.
As someone who’s only seen the first movie it’s interesting to know you started out with the same level of knowledge about this franchise that I basically still have. I know there was a reboot or something with mark hamill voicing him and he’s like a robot that glitches or something but that’s the entirety of my knowledge so just starting this video I’m sure it’ll be an interesting journey experiencing it this way.
#1. Bride Of Chucky #2. Child's Play 2 #3. Child's Play (Original) #4. Child's Play 3 #5. Curse Of Chucky #6. Seed Of Chucky #7. Cult Of Chucky #8. Child's Play (Remake)
The actress you said “why does she look like Charles lee ray?” Is because the actress is the voice actor, and actor of Chucky/charles lee rays, (actor) brad Doriffs daughter. She is awesome!
What's interesting about the remake is that it's semi-similar to Don Mancini's original script for CHILD'S PLAY: in that version, Charles Lee Ray didn't exist and Chucky came to life because he had Andy's blood in him (they did a Blood Brothers kind of game) and he was killing off Andy's thoughts of adults he didn't like. The voodoo and serial killer elements were added on when other writers came in. Still, Mancini kept the continuity throughout, despite not liking the voodoo elements but liking Brad Dourif's performance as Chucky.
She has her dads looks love seeing father and daughter work together they had a amazing time and fun doing this, nice look for you kacee at the end of the video love it
Yay the Child’s Play and Chucky movies are always a great pick for spooky season. 🎃 Love your cosplay Kacee, you make a cute Chucky. 🧡🔪 And I agree with you, Bride Of Chucky and the first Child’s Play movie are definitely in the top 5.
the time stamp you just gave is at damn near end of the video. Does it occur to you people might be halfway through when they make a comment? Stop being THAT person. No one likes THAT person @@Flipcrash
I love the show just because it continues the storyline with some new faces as well. I love the Tiffany, chucky, and the sh*tface aka glen/glenda story!
The guy with pencil mustache was John Waters. He’s known for midnight movies back in the seventies. For Kacee, the only on she should watch is Cry Baby…she’d love it.
Cassie the real reason why Nika exactly like Charles Lee Ray is probably because the girl who played as Nika is the daughter of Brad Dorf the guy who voices Chucky
Part 2 was the apex for me. After that it just got silly. I like the voodoo lore of the first one. These movies were a guilty pleasure of mine when I was a preteen. 😂
I don’t know why some people don’t like chucky 3 just because a lot of people don’t like it don’t mean u don’t have to not saying u do just I think only some people think that way. In my opinion child’s play 3 was awesome. Anyway great reaction and loving your chucky sweater btw.
You HAVE to watch the show, I'm begging you. It really takes all the best parts from the movies, the horror and wackiness. And it's a direct continuation of Cult of Chucky!
Yes, please do a reaction to the whole entire TV show. I would love for you to give us your honest opinion on it it’s really a lot of fun, but I think you would love to three kid characters
I'm like you, bride of chucky is number 1 for me lol but I also liked the 3rd one, so I might have to put that one as 2. Lol ik, ik.. my 3rd would be child's play 2. Also I loved this video.
The first movie is what gave me nightmares for years as a kid and turned me on to videogames instead of toys. I used to freak out if my cupboard door was slightly open and so I got rid of all my toys.... All I had in my room was my TV and my PS1 lol. The affect that movie had on me when I were like 6 :/ Almost as bad as the 1989 found footage movie "UFO Abduction" which was ten full years before Blair Witch..... My childhood house was all glass with no curtains and overlooked fields and woods. It would get dark around 16:00 after school and my um got home around 22:00 from work, so I was alone in the house all that time.... Because of that movie I just hid in my room for years until we moved home lol. Taught me for staying up to watch WWF as it used to be on in the early hours of the morning here and they played that movie before :(
Please do watch the TV series too, it follows the movies including cast so well worth it. Would be great if you did them as full reactions (if you can fit it in your schedule) rather than all in one go like you did these movies.
Decker Shado is in the middle of reviewing all these movies on his RU-vid. It was SUPPOSED to be the Summer of Chucky but as you know copyright can be a pain so now it's the Fall of Chucky. He's currently posted up to part 3.
@50:58 the original doll was supposed be named buddy after the real life toy that the chucky doll is modeled after with the same outfit. The original name of the first child's play was supposed to be named "Blood buddies"
Yeah the mainline series has some not so great ones, but that remake, dear god was it bad on a whole other level. For me, I'm pretty good with your rankings, for myself the only change I would have is putting Seed of Chucky right below the remake and Bride being third after the first and second. Love your cosplay at the end too!
Do the entire tv show in a video like this. All 3 seasons! Doesn’t matter how long it takes to make the video. You can release it next Halloween if need be. But you will get the full story like that. Not just one season then never finish it because of view drop off from season to season
Mine from best to worst is 1) Bride 2) 2 3) 1 4) Cult 5) Seed 6) Curse 7) 3 8) remake So close to yours. Also do the tv series. Its related to the original films
The original is my favorite, but I can see why you would pick Bride. For me, they're pretty close, but the human characters are the tiebreaker. I find the main couple in Bride to be dull, whereas I like Andy's mom and the cop. I wish that they (and Kyle) would've returned to the series.
