Response to some frequently made comments: - Scott Derrickson (Director) has actually confirmed the 1st patient on the phone call with Billy wasn't Rhodey as he didn't hurt himself in any experimental work, he was literally in a battle against other half of the Avengers! - I actually forgot about the scene from Iron Man 2 where we get a glimpse at Tony Stark's watch collection but notice how we're still not given a close-up shot as that would just be irrelevant and straight out promotional. But in case of Strange, there's a '5 seconds' close-up of all his wrist watches because it carries a deep meaning, that's what I meant.

This one no-one else seems to have noticed. When Strange first makes a joke referencing Beyonce, he says most people think he's funny. Wong asks, "Did they work for you?" When Wong laughs at his joke at the end. Wong is now working for him.

So this isn't something a lot of people have noticed (or anybody, really) but there's a subtle nod or foreshadowing to the comics before the trippy multiverse scene. The Ancient One presses her thumb in the middle of Strange's forehead and says "Open your eye" (if you really pay attention, she says Eye, not plural.) If you don't get it, Doctor Strange in the comics gains a third eye that he can activate that's used to see things normal people can't see. And where is the third eye? Center of his forehead. So her saying "Open your eye" and pressing right there could be just a reference or a foreshadowing that he'll get this spell/ability in a future film

I think you don't know about Shankar.. One of the biggest God in Hinduism who have third eye in the center of forehead and it opens when he gets extremely angry that results in Mass destructions of the worlds... You should know this that Marvel took idea of third eye from Hinduism which is also used in many CULT Ministries in America and other countries.

There is a huge detail in Strange's display case that everyone has missed so far: One of the awards is in the image of a caduceus. The winged staff intertwined with two snakes which is commonly mislabeled as a symbol of medicine. When in fact, the caduceus is the symbol of commerce held by Hermes. What they mean to put in is the Rod of Asclepius, a symbol of medicine and healing from the ancient world which features a single rod being twined by a single snake.

In Iron Man 2, when Tony Stark asks Natasha what she would do if she knew she was gonna die tomorrow, he asks it right after she makes him choose a watch among his collection. They don't do a close up view but, he collects watches and he was collecting cars in Iron Man 1 and he argues with Pepper about his art collection in Iron Man 2.

In the fight with Kaecilius, the cloak of levitation stopped strange to get to the hammer, pulling him towards the chain lock, that means the cloak has it's own mind, at that point the cloak was more experienced than Strange. The cloaks mind was later seen in infinity war when he was getting kidnapped, the cloak tried to save him

It has to be Rhodey, right? The video mention's Avenger's tower, which wasn't built until Avenger's Assemble, and it wasn't even Avenger's tower until the end. (Stark tower in the beginning). Iron Man 2 takes place before Avenger's, so surely they didn't wait X amount of years to get the Iron Man 2 Colonel some surgery?

I never thought about the Ancient One's hood in the beginning. I always thought it was to reveal her as the Ancient One later on, and have it be a surprise. (Even though we all knew her casting months in advance.) But her hiding her mystic symbol makes a lot of sense.

When Strange first receives his cloak he goes to grab a weapon on the opposite wall. The cloak holds him back. It knew that he had to use the restraining relic already. Not really a hidden detail, but it’s definitely a subtle thing worth mentioning

JUNIOR TECHY but first he has to actually give us things that nobody would notice unless they watched it in 0.25 speed. He literally told us things that you can figure out from watching it in normal speed and a little research. There was no point in watching it this slow as he didn’t learn anything. I always thought that the call from Strange’s friend Billy was in referenced to Colonel Rhodes when he fell from the sky, since this is technically supposed to happen after Civil War, and had the possibility of his lower half to go paralysis. Anyways, i’m more curious if the two other patients has a connection in the future of the MCU or past movies that I never noticed. Great video ☺️

exactly and someone else brought up Timeline. From google between Iron man 2 and Strange there are like 5 movies all involving the avengers ( not even counting guardians and Black Panther and Ant Man. ) Where as Civil War literally comes right before Dr Strange. which seems to line up their accidents. vs the test guy in Iron Man 2 could have been who knows how long ago.

One thing I noticed in the scene where Strange is discovering the dark dimension the reflection of his face on the "mirrors", or whatever they are, shows his reactions from different points in time. Like there is one face that looks at the same time as his person, another that looks up a few seconds later, and another that glances around his shoulder that is shown in the next shot.

In Endgame (first avengers, 2012) Ancient One says "you're 5 years early" to Bruce, so she means 2017. That's weird cause Dr Strange was released in 2016. So it cannot be 2010 when Iron Man 2 was released.

No bc in the movie you hear the guy on the phone say that the lower spine was crushed in “experimental armor.” Tony Stark’s tech was far from experimental, plus the whole point of that scene in Iron Man 2 was that the U.S military was trying to replicate Stark’s suit. Plus I’d say the way the suit twists the guy would def crush the lower spine.

Hey Canadian Lad, the time of doctor strange's accident could be at civil war time because in Endgame when hulk goes back to 2012 for collecting the time stone and when he asks the ancient one about strange, she says that he's 5 years too early. So it means that his accident was at the time of civil war and the guy who broke his spine in 2008 was another guy. It was Rhodey who broke his back. Agree?

I have one. When Strange and the Ancient One talked in Astral Form moments before she dissapeared, you can see a chopper when in the bolt of lightning. Now, I believe that when Strange and Ancient One is having a conversation, Scott and Darren (Yellowjacket) is fighting at that moment. But that's just my theory guys don't get mad

Its because Dormamu is not time bound like Thanos. So Dormamu will know when he is in a time loop but Thanos will not know if he is trapped in a time loop, so he will try to kill Doctor Strange everytime without knowing that he is trapped in a time loop. Hence time loop wont work on Thanos.

release does not necessarily mean "timeline" ... it may be that Doc Strange the movie was released in 2016, but Strange also had to go thru the quest to fix his hands and search down the ancient one, therefore Strange could have been around 2010, while Doc Strange came into his own in 2016? 6 year back story condensed into 2 hour movie? Did that thought ever cross anyone's mind?

I think the colonel referenced at 7:39 is actually Rhodey after he fell in Civil War. He is referred to as Colonel Rhodes and i doubt Hammer Industries and the military would put a Colonol in a prototype of the Iron Man suit. The fact that the armor is referred to as an experimental technology is probably a cover story.

1:55 If you think about it, yes, Dr. Strange was quite rich at the beginning of the movie probably because of his high income of being a surgeon. However, the watches/watch colection are the main objects which are shown to be what he spends his money on (and his car, but we don't talk about that). Also during this first part of the movie, in his daily life he would regularly wear an expensive watch. After he makes his character transformation later in the movie, he gets a new "watch", being the time stone.

I HAVE A DOBT ABOUT THE ENDGAME. That when the ancient one is explaining bruce about the flow of time that even if one stone is not present in thier reality the flow of time will be disturbed. Tjen, how is the flow of time going in the reality of 2023 the time of endgame. Thanos vanished all the stone then how the flow of time is possible. In this movie, the ring is said to open to any multiverse, that means it doesn't need a bifrost, all the ring bearers can travel to any world including Nidavellir, vormir, asgard etc

Second, just because Cheadle is much older than 35 doesn't mean he can't play a character who is 35. Third, the armor Rhodes takes from Stark in "Iron Man II" was the Mark II, an experimental armor Stark developed after his incursion with the Ten Rings and before modifying it again (because of the "icing problem") into the Mark III. Furthermore, the events that occur in "Dr. Strange" happen after Col. Rhodes' crash landing in "Captain America: Civil War". And, finally, we see Rhodes trying to walk again in "Civil War" which would be indicative of a "mid-thoracic vertebral fracture" as mentioned by Billy in "Dr. Strange".
