Gavin: "Yeah, I'm gonna make Spider-Man trauma dump the sh*t outta that kid for no good reason at all"

@@siphonophores for me, and this might be nitpicking, but I also don’t like the “consumer” take on The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man. The idea that there’s all these toys, cartoons, bedsheets, posters, books, and movies in universe that the kid collects just feels too commercial imo. I much prefer the original story where he collected every newspaper story, or went to a bank that Spidey stopped a robbery at to dig out a bullet that was lodged in the wall, or him managing to find a rare recording of one of spidey’s tv broadcasts before he became a hero. Those more personal and intimate items in the collection I think mean a lot more for the overall story than just shit you can buy at target.

The swinging scenes look really good. For a fan film, it's fine. Some shots, the lighting looks unnecessarily dark tho.

Also, I know it's a fan film but I think the director got over ambitious when he made this movie 2 hours long.

That's because the lighting is bad. There's nothing in there to fill in the light which makes everything look shrouded in darkness making these shots look so shoddy.

@@lanalan4157 well it might be, i haven't watched it, I am basing it off what connor showed, which did make it seem like the movie was good. I feel like the last portion of the movie was iffy, like the dialogue and acting left much to be required(though I would like to say some people acted really well in this film). The whole thing of Spiderman being motivated again by a kid would have been handled better but that is most of my complaint.

I dont think so Its terribly shot, the story feels randomized, pretty bad voice acting / directing The characters are confusing And nothing happens in the movie

I promise you that this movie is so awful. I watched it last night with an open mind. Worst two hours of my life

From what I’ve heard, a lotus is a pretty flower that grows in the middle of swamps, so I think in this case the lotus is supposed to be symbolic of Spider-Man surrounded by all of his problems (the swamp), that’s just what I read elsewhere
