All the wide shots/landscapes in Raya literally looked photorealistic to the max. Absolutely insane!

There are A LOT of South East Asian cultural references in this movie. Such as Tom Yum is a soup from Thailand, Batik, Wayang, Keris (all three from Indonesia but some are also used in maybe Malaysia), Tuk-Tuk (which is a form of transportation from Thailand), Ao Dai inspired outifits from Vietnam, in my opinion the name Raya could be or might be taken from Indonesia's national anthem "Indonesia Raya", etc. (there are a bunch more but I forgot the rest so you can just go and google it.) I'm Indonesian and we have Komodo dragons and a mythical dragon from Java and Bali (yes, Bali is not a country for those who thinks that it is) called Ontobugo or Antaboga that is actually a snake that takes the shape of a dragon and it lives in the underworld. Kelly Marie Tran is the only cast that has South East Asian blood or Vietnamese to be more specific. But, the rest are East Asian. And, some people were quite disappointed by that.

I mean it was literally both Namaari and Raya's fault Sisu died, just putting that out there

"You all are a bunch of collective dum-dums" is the best line ever. It's so applicable to real life.

I think with Namaari, it’s not that she has a grudge against Raya. It’s actually implied this is their first meeting in six years because she assumed Raya was turned to stone. I think she’s only after her now because Raya snuck in and stole that scroll and so she was just tracking down whoever stole it. It’s also good to remember that Namaari was a kid too when the first betrayal happened, and she was likely only doing it under her mother’s orders thinking how most people seemed to, that Heart was hoarding the Gem’s rewards and that taking it for Fang would help her homeland. Namaari was crying when Sisu revealed her dragon form because she’s still this big dragon nerd and was in awe that Sisu was actually real and alive and right in front of her. It’s why she wasn’t afraid or taking steps back and why Sisu didn’t threaten her further.

This was a fun reaction, the part that caught me a little unexpectedly was how emotional I got when Raya and the others handed over their pieces and turned to stone. Super powerful moment. Also, you mention how good the scenery is...I recommend checking out The Adventures of Tin Tin. There are some times while watching that, I'll almost forget it's animated, I can never stop commenting about how real the clothing looks lol. Plus that movie has some of the coolest and underrated transitions in my opinion. I think you'd dig it and I'd love a reaction to that one 😊

This is honestly one of my favorite Disney movies and Raya and Namaari are two of my favorite Disney princesses. I watched this movie so much when it came out and even went to the theater when it finally opened even though I’d seen the movie four times. I love the story and the characters and you’re right. There’s so much filmmaking style. Also, Raya and Namaari are gay, Your Honor!

The moment where Raya says "Welcome to Kumandra" at her dad in the end always makes me emotional

Honestly, for me personally, this movie talks about what we live in today's world, such as, the Druuns are exactly the same demons that we invoke or simply awaken, the disunity, the lack of faith, that if there is a second chance to everyone but that happens when they regret what they did, like Namaari for example. Well, unfortunately, everyone judges her horribly, criticizes her and even makes fun of this movie, even knowing that not even we are worthy of setting a good example. Let me even tell you that Raya is a great example to follow and she is much better than the others. Other stupid princesses, past and present, like the stupid Mirabel and the stupid Asha. To tell the truth, this movie made quite a few references in video games and some anime, not like the nonsense that says that it is a damn plagiarism of the boring animated series of Avatar, the movie of the last unicorn, however, I see it as a reference and that is not that's all. This movie has quite a few references from an anime series called Saint Seiya. But anyway, no one is interested and they prefer to live in human stupidity, what's more, if you didn't like the movie, don't criticize it and reserve your inappropriate comments. What's more, don't even compare it again, I repeat, with the stupid Encanto or Wish movie, because those two boring movies, no matter how much they have good songs, animation or story, however, they will never stop being a total plagiarism just as the majority called out this beautiful Raya and the last dragon movie. Most idiotic, stupid and mediocre people mention and are even published on social networks, that Raya and the last dragon was a total plagiarism of the boring series called Avatar, however, Encanto is not far behind since it is a total plagiarism from a series called "bella calamidades" from Colombia along with an animated series called "Sylvanian Families" but in humans. Raya, you are the best warrior I have ever seen in my life. You are my role model. It's a shame that there are such stupid, mediocre and manipulative people who consider you the worst and don't know how to value you.

The moment where Namaari picks Raya Hair ring is a direct reference to Sergio Leone's Western classic _the Good, the Bad & The Ugly_ . I love the movie grammar from this Disney Gem.

So when they are all stone…their placement matches their homeland. Raya is in the center, the heart. Boun is at her waist/side…the tail. Tong has his hand on Raya’s back..the spine. Tong holds Noi in his hand..the claw…and while Namaari is more at her shoulder…on the map of Kumandra has fang at the far left, like she is in placement by Raya. This is what it looked like to me at least

I loved the moment were dragons came back, the sound of the drums right when they were running through the waterfall gave me goosebumps!

I cried at the ending when I first saw this because at the beginning. You can see her dad trying to make the nation's one again but fails. He's revived at the end and sees that his daughter did it on her own thus making his dream come true 🥺👏

Raya And The Last Dragon is honestly one of the best Disney animation work ever in my opinion (next to Encanto) because it looks so realistic. I'm pretty sure they can make it real life but they didn't. Kind of think the story can be written better, I didn't like how they wrote and handled the whole "Trust" thing, I was hoping that Namaari earns Raya's trust instead of Raya just straight up trusting her that fast. But aside from that, the film is really good 👌
