So, interesting fact when Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker first got together to film this movie, Chris Tucker genuinely thought Jackie Chan did not like him because he would not speak around him or really sort of hang out, but when they got the talking come to find out Jackie Chan at that time did not speak much English, so he was sort of I guess, embarrassed to say stuff around him.

My wife plays bass and she was hired for Chris Tuckers family reunion recently. It was a family event so he wasn’t working the room or anything but I did hear him speak and I was shocked he sounded so much like he does in the movies. That really is his voice.

My spanish dad constantly quotes "Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth" so I always think of him when watching rush hour 😂

I had all 3 movies on dvd and would watch them with the whole family I laugh every time. It’s a truthfully iconic duo 😂😂😂

There’s nothing funnier than watching Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker engage in a “who speaks the worst English competition.” Also, I met Mark Rolster (FBI Agent Russ) a year ago and he told me how after they finished Rush Hour, Jackie Chan hired out Planet Hollywood so they could have a party. Mark brought his family and said how nice Jackie was to everyone.

Comedy classic for sure! I was 11 years old when this came out, this movie reminds me of being in high school, acting out favourite scenes with my friends 😅 Number 2 is definitely my favourite ❤

I really enjoyed watching one of my favorite comedies/action-comedies of all time with you. Jackie Chan as ‘Lee’ and Chris Tucker as ‘Carter’ are the best duo as their from different parts of the worlds, different cultures and different ideas but their partnership worked so well as the movie progressed and as it did in 2 and 3. Loved watching it. It’s not Jackie Chan for me instead he’s Jackie Chantastic for me, the guy is a legend. Take care, stay healthy, enjoy life and have a good one.

It really goes to show you what a legend Jackie is too, that Billy kept putting respect on his name every fight scene while in China this movie wasn't so well liked because Hollywood insurance meant Jackie had to tone down the fights and stunts signficantly. The fisticuffs and stunt work are better than 99% of action movies today that don't have Keanu Reeves or Tom Cruise attached, yet child's play compared to what Jackie would get up to in China, even compared to Rumble in the Bronx (shot in Vancouver). In that same vein, to this day Jackie Chan vs. Benny The Jet in _Wheels on Meals_ is the best hand to hand fight scene ever filmed, period. They made any and all fight scenes in Hollywood 1989 and before look downright foolish. I remember seeing Batman '89 compared side by side with it once and it looked like watching two kids slapboxing next to the Thrilla in Manila.

Pre 2010s comedies were top tier. No political correctness or the cancelation police dampening the comedy lol. Classic movie.

Jackie Chan is legitimately the funniest part of these films. You never see his jokes coming.

I love how Jackie Chan usually plays the calm guy in movies when he has a costar at the main role and meanwhile he could slap you so you wouldn't h worry for your teeth soon.
