Isayama kept kicking the script as it was originally written, and when he finally saw the finished preview, he was rolling with laughter. He is truly a psychopath.😂

Almost all staff were in a disappointed mood when this movie released, even the director except one person…ISAYAMA. I heard he ＲＥＡＬＬＹ enjoyed the movie and the plot was made to rewrite in an early stage by him.

Don't forget, there's the second movie that continues and concludes this story 😂I'd actually like to see your thoughts on the Armored and Colossal Titans and the ending of the movie lol. But that depends if you're willing to put up with another 100 minutes of this haha

I heard that the reason the studio gave for not having levi in the movie, was literally because they said that the japanese actors would be able to pronounce levi correctly, and I'm like "BITCH THE SHOW IS JAPANESE😂"

It is a well-known story in Japan that this was a script that only Isayama wanted, and that Isayama was the only person satisfied with the film.

If you're wondering why levy isn't in this, it's because the detector thought that they couldn't pronounce Levy. Even though the anime is in Japanese

It’s literally everything wrong with live action adaptations. I don’t understand why they think live action adaptations would work even though it’s been proven thousands of times that live action adaptations have a 99.9999999% chance of flopping.

From Japan. Isayama-sensei asked me to make this movie different from the manga, so it turned out like this. However, compared to Hollywood, Japanese film production costs are very low, but I think they did a good job. I can't wait to see what the Hollywood version will look like.

I actually liked the live action. I first watched this years ago before being able to watch the anime itself just last year. I could say the movie and anime should be watched as separate stories to fully enjoy both.

When the movie was released, the anime has only 1 season. There is nothing like the revealing of armor and colossal titan from season 2 or even the basement and Grisha's backstory from season 3, so I think we can't blame them for not having these plots and changing or adding something in. This live-action has two parts, you watch the first one, but I think it's better if you continue the second one.

some live action that i think they did pretty good job (you can try if you have time) - rurouni kenshin - ajin - parasyte (not a korean one) - kamisama no iutoori - gintama - death note (movies + series) - alice in borderland - i am a hero - bleach (not that bad maybe bc i like the actress lol) and those movies that adapt from shoujo manga genre like chihayafuru, after the rain, nana etc.

I never gave the live action a chance but I’m sure as hell glad I gave this reaction to it a chance 🤣🤣🤣 that emotional rollercoaster was well worth it

Whoa, didn't expect you react to this I actually watched this movie first before the anime. So back then i think this movie was OK. After that i just remember many people mad because this and that, like "where is Levi" or something else. And i just like, who is Levi LOL. After i watched the anime i understand why people are so disappointed.

Your reactions to the weird parts of the movie definitely made watching it more fun. There’s apparently a sequel to this movie. Hope you tackle it sometime soon. Man, the changes those movies did are weird. Some are understandable, like reducing the amount of the main cadets to make the film less cluttered and condensing several characters to one character. But some feel rather unnecessary. Like renaming some of the characters, changing the time period, etc. And having the actors keep their natural dark hair got pretty confusing at times. I guess giving them wigs or dying their hair wasn’t an option at the time. Your better off watching the movie dubbed to make it less confusing.

I first watched this since 2015, and this is how I discovered the Attack on Titan franchise. I first watched the live action before the anime.

To be fair, they do have guns in the anime as well (before season 4 i mean). We can see the MP's in particular carrying them around. There was also that one bar owner that Levi borrowed a gun from.

Gintama live action is one of the best live action I've ever watched!!! I watched it before I become anime fan and it dragged me into anime culture.

I think it was difficult to make a live-action version of a complex story because the story of AOT was not very advanced at that time. The author, Hajime Isayama, has given the OK for it, so I think it should be enjoyed as a different story. (Hanji looks like her though.) I'd also ask for a reaction to the official anime Attack on Titan: Junior High School that aired in 2015.

You should watch the live-action Death Note movie. It's one of the more successful live-action adaptations, with a different ending than the original but interesting and well acted by the actors.

I remember bringing my mom (who was anti-anime and had not watched the original AOT) to watch this in cinema to troll her, but she loved it😂

I actually watched the movies before watching the anime, when i was watching the movie i didn't even knew what anime was . So i found it very cool about the concept and enjoyed both of the parts. I wanted to watch more so i searched about the movies then i found about the series and from there i discovered what anime was. All i gotta say this was not as bad as people make it to be. Obviously it could have been a lot better but i will still enjoy the movie if i watched it again.

Haruma Miura, who played Eren, was an amazing and popular actor esp in his prime. I remember being super hyped when the movie came out, and I thought he did a fantastic job as Eren, even though I wasn't a fan of the movie version itself. Sadly, he passed away in 2020 due to depression, but I'm really happy you also acknowledged his acting skills here. ❤It would be so interesting if you start checking out old jdorama series such as koizora, gokusen, the house of my life, crows zero etc. 😄anyway, great reaction Nic! We still miss AOT for sure!
