Rogue one will always be my favourite star wars movie. Clone Wars got me into it. Force awakens got me back into it but this one made me stay in it forever.

One of my pet peeves about Stormtroopers in Star Wars is blaster bolts leaving marks on the armour. Most of the time they don't, but then sometimes they do. Also while Donnie Yen is pretty good as a blind martial artist in this film, I thought he did it better in John Wick: Chapter 4. Maybe he had more practice between films.

I almost feel sorry for Saw. He'd spent most of his entire life fighting wars, and against the Empire, it eventually drove him crazy. He became ruthless and brutal in his methods, using the same tactics the Empire used against him. He broke every rule of engagement for the sake of victory. He held no honor in combat, he just fought. Fought like a madman. And it ruined his body in the process. He knew the Empire was making something, a secret they intended to keep until it was completed. He spent so long searching for it, and by 0 BBY, IT had found HIM! After 2 decades of war, after years of searching, hoping to stop what the Empire was making, only for Saw to find out it was too little, too late. He went down as part of the first wave of victims to the Death Star. RIP Saw Gerrera.

I think that this armour of the stormtroopers is somehow proof against some blaster bolts but if they got hit they get unconscious or something. This would explain why there are no holes in their armour…

You should review the series of clone wars episodes where obi wan pretends to get shot, is presumed dead, disguises as a bounty hunter in prison, participates in a prison break, then participates in trials and earns trust with cad bane (Enbos there too I think) and then works in a plot to assassinate the senate

Personally, Rogue One is the best Disney era SW movie so far. I even like it more the Solo 0:52 Don't forget how Wrecker in The Bad Batch series premiere cracked a Clone Trooper helmet on Kamino. I think that Clone Trooper is part of the Coruscant Guard, judging by the red armor marking

A lot of this lore is explained by the visual guide books which in turn connects further to both current canon and the EU. An example are the guys in the cloaks, who are religious pilgrims to the kyber temple and they have some sort of connection to George's original ideas about star wars.
