Props to you for exploring and appreciating the city. You’re absolutely bang on when you say that British architecture needs to be appreciated more, seems like people would rather complain and call everywhere a shithole instead of actually looking at what we’ve got
There used to be rivarly between Wrexham, Chester, Shrewsbury and Crewe quite often in the same leagues during the 90s. I recall somebody named any fixture between the 4 a kite or diamond derby or specifically a cross border derby if any of them played Wrexham. The reason diamond or kite derby was used because you can make a diamond shape of the route between the 4. Shrewsbury V Wrexham will be tasty in league one this season. Although not as close as Chester to Wrexham it's near enough just as fierce.
I stewarded at this game, would you believe? In case you were wondering, I was the tall, bearded chap that eventually had a trilby on when it stopped raining! 😂 I’m delighted you enjoyed the match and rejoiced in the beautiful city I’m proud to know and love, living nearby and dropping in when I can. UTS!
Always love your video’s Josh, just started subscribing but have watched a lot over the course of a year, if you’re ever back in Rotterdam for either Feyenoord, Sparta or Excelsior please connect us we would love to have you in our studio during one of your editions to have a beer. [this is no inquiry for an interview]
You should come to a national league north game at Buxton FC. Our home ground the tarmac silverlands stadium is the highest in England and is very unique. It has great views and even has a Trainline right behind it. We have great attendance and even some really good fans. The atmosphere is great and we also have good scran for good measure. Buxton is also a great place too. Very beautiful and historic. Also convenient for train travel. I would love for you to come and visit my club
Come to Southend vs Redbridge. Proper derby down south. Next monday. I advise coming but if not all good mate. I also advise hornchurch. Very good fans. Also great video lad. Enjoying it as always.
I remember going to Chester FC as a child to watch Stockport play them, it rained all day and the game got called off due to heavy rain even though it was already about 60 minutes in. Had to play the whole game again on a Tuesday night where it was a 0-0 draw.
Chester is a Roman city that’s why all the architecture is old fashioned and in Chester by the Liverpool shop there’s a place where you can see all the old Roman tunnels and that
When me & my mate got our tix for the first ever derby at the Divvy 'Stadium'...(I use the term _Stadium_ VERY loosely) and we saw the seats were in Row D...we thought, great stuff, right near the front! WRONG! It's that Tinpot of a place, we were actually near the back...and this was when they were in the EFL! 🤣🤣 As Mark Lawrenson rightly once said..."It's not even a footballing city..."
Beautiful place Chester, on the football front it’s a shame they’ve been left for dust by Hollywood FC down the road. Hope they cherished that last derby match, doubt they’ll see another
