There is a mod called Tidy Details that show where each skin details falls on the body which is why you have multiple of the skin details. So that you can stack skin details on top of one another. I hope that makes sense.

The double stuff in the face details is actually normal. A lot of cc creators put them in multiple categories so you can layer them on top of each other ! 💖

yes !!! its really useful bc i have the miiko face kit but i wouldnt be able to use it at the same time as my skin overlay if there was only one. its also good to have multiple anyway bc you might want (for example) darker eye shadows and a bump on the nose on the same sim

The doubles of Skin Details is potentially because they are in different skin detail slots (like eye wrinkles, mouth crease,freckles etc) so you can layer them with other skin details. It's fairly common for them to be packaged together for convenience. There is a mod that adds in markers for when the categories change because it isn't always clear, I think it's called tidy skin details by sparrow something

Hey Deli! Not sure if you knew but when you’re shopping, you can filter by different things like hairs and makeups and skin details. It may help you be able to see more of each thing!

I wasn’t able to use cc or mods until a few weeks ago because I was a console player for years. I didn’t have a computer that could run the Sims. I enjoy it, but it takes some adjusting to!

The multiples of some skin details are intentional from the creators. They take up different "slots" on the sim so you can layer them with other skin details.

the multiple versions of the skin details are normal! It's so you can use multible skin details and layer them on each other! And the doubles of the eyebrows are because one of them are with the maxis swatches and the other is with the custom swatches!

my favorite cc is the hair bcuz it's just SO PRETTY. but it definitely becomes a problem when I end up spending 20 mins trying to decide which gorgeous hair I wanna put on my sim. I LOVE them ALL too much🤣

Loving this.. Syd Macoretta uses a lot of this CC.. I watched a CC Haul from her recently and had to go get pretty much everything she had. I also figured out in order to keep the lashes from clipping when putting on earrings you need to apply them from the glasses accessories instead of the face details section.

For skin details, it's not uncommon for creators to make different versions of a single detail set. This allows you to have access to the details on any of the skin details categories (which are NOT labeled in game sadly so not obvious). This gives you flexibility to mix and match skin details without having to sacrifice one detail over another (hopefully).

It might help to pull up reference pictures of makeup looks you're trying to get the vibe of while choosing makeup for sims? genuinely just a wild guess as i also don't know how to do makeup and, subsequently, tend not to put makeup on my sims lol. but reading your comment suddenly made the idea come to mind, so it only seemed fair to share it

9:10 the skin by miko are doubled because every line focus on a different area of the face, that way you can use one of every area as you please since each option doesn't change the whole face.

Often times cc creators make skin details that place in different spots on the face (forehead, freckles) that way you can use multiple skin details at the same time bc they are from different categories! That’s also why you have multiples of some cc

There are multiple bits in the skin detail so you can layer up the details, so in layer one you could add shadows to the eyes and layer 2 you can add shadow to the cheeks at the same time. You've done nothing wrong at all ❤️

The face kit by Miiko intentionally has 4 parts so that you can add multiple ones on one Sim! The different colour codes apply to different facial features, so by having multiple versions you could add details to the nose, eyes, chin, jaw, etc all at once :)

i think the reason some of the skin details are duplicated is so you can use them in other categories, in case you’re already using freckles or forehead wrinkles or something

A lot of times when they're doubles it's so you can attach them to a different face tag like left mole, smile crease, forehead crease, right eyebrow piercing, freckles, that way you can layer them, also if you love that skin detail but you want them to also have that texture say they're getting older and you wanted to add crows eyes you could use the freckle or right mole layer of the same skin details. You can re add them in a different layer. There's a mod that sorts and tags those invisible tags in create a Sim.

I loved this. I would live if you used this to properly create a new sim. Start with name, then hair, the make up, then clothes. Like maybe a sporty sim or a cottage core sim etc.

Hi Deli! I noticed you were a bit confused as why there were duplicates in your skin detail category. This happens because the same piece of cc shows in all skin detail sections(moles, freckles, etc.), so you can layer it with sth else and don't have to worry about both things beeing in the same section. About Miiko's skin detail lashes: In skin details go all the way down, find the last lashes from her. They do not conflict with earrings or rings etc. Only thing you cannot use with them is eyeglasses =)

You should collab with some other simmers where you all build segments of a house and rotate. So for example if there were 4 of you, you'd all make a shell of the house and then rotate the shells. The next round you'd furnish, then roof etc. You would rotate between each round. Im not sure exactly how it would work but it sounds like a cool video idea.

The thing with having multiple of the same thing on skin detail is becuz if you have eyelashes u want to wear but the other skin detail you downloaded was also filed under the same “skin detail” as the eyelashes; i.e. both skin details are downloaded as a “left mole” or “smile lines”. So it puts it under multiple details so you can use both. I hope that made sense 🤦🏼‍♀️
