Use the build key when trying to repair your palisade that is surrounded by enemies. It’s one of the three main options you see when you click on your villager.
Seems like the feitoria strat here gives you a quick build-up to a fast trickle of res, essentially booming up in imp much more quickly than you could with vils, but the problem is that it reaches a point where it's not nearly as population efficient as vils. That's why they work so well in super late games where valuable res like stone/gold or even wood is gone or scarce, but in a situation like this your opponents eventually got to a point where their pop efficiency bringing in res was a lot better, and they had no shortage of gold/stone.
Hera you are killing me. I have been a viper fan for a long time. Now I am routing for you in tournaments so when you play the viper it kills me. I love your videos and sharing your knowledge even if you lose to four opponents. You are a top class act and no wonder you excelled so much.
Building a Feitoria is a bit like producing from 5 TCs, but you have a much lower cap to the boom. So after a Feitoria boom, you really have to kill your opponents quickly.
Isn't the best way with portuguese bombard tower creep, stone wall the back so they can't brake in and have 10-20 bb's to snipe ranged and trebs, and then scorp or orjan spam? Especially with no Tatars and turks?
That was really interesting and you absolutely had to use the chance and try to make the Feitorias work. This is the Portugese dream! Do you think the match would have gone differently, if you had more pop available? Feels like they were able to push just in time, before you could move out. I don't think more pop would have saved you, even if you could have build more Feitorias
I think if you went pike and stone walled the middle too you could have held. Because what killed you was raids. Organ and halb would have been perfect with the aid of bombard cannons. And actually I dont think extra 50 pop is enough for per opponent because you never get to fill it on other civs and even with massive feutoria boom its not enough to hold 5 armies just like you said you cant be at 5 locations but the opponents can. Good game
Realistically, he needed a pop cap of 420 and a 3v1 instead of a 4v1. Featorias was like 220 population and vills were 50, which only leaves him with near 100 military which isn't enough against 4 players. He would need atleast 150-180 military to hold off 4 players. If he took the relics, and continously disrupted their trade carts, those players would eventually run out of resources which is where the Featorias would have the advantage.
Can you do a more casual match where you have mind space to narrate your micro moves? Like explain your clicking and key strategies as you make them? Love the videos. Thanks!
I think Feitorias would be a bit more realistic, if they wouldn't directly use up population space, but instead need to be garrisonned with villagers (or maybe also other units?) to actually produce resources. Of course, this would make this instant boom strategy impossible, so the cost and income would need to be rebalanced. Though it also allows ungarrisoning if you need your villages for other purposes, or need to move them elsewhere.
You were floating stone and had a chokepoint where you could have massed Castles. But it likely wouldn't have made a difference and you still played over 1 million times better than I would have.
I thought you were supposed to have 50 extra pop per opponent? Or is it 50(n-1)? I feel like it should be per opponent if you're not doing a 1v1. Cause even at 2v1 you're outnumbered by an extra 100 pop. 3v1 outnumbered by 150 and so on. That's huge numbers.
I think what you did wrong was going straight to fetoria if it was more smooth transition you would not be low on resources, u should have kept making villigers and farms until the fetorias ready then delete the vills
Can’t the 4 players have 100 pop each? And you get 350? 400 spread over 4 players 350 for the one player (you) Would be much fairer and more of a fight for everyone
Don't feel like population was the problem. I mean didn't hit full pop even once. I feel the problem was more that you rushed imp & chose a subpar economy. you effectively gave away map control for a 50% less effective economy, just so you don't have to micro it. Could have easily won this by spamming tc's in castle, but you chose to turtle in the corner rushing imp.
@@olecram207 Because Hera doesn't strike me like the kind of guy that appreciates Nazi sympathizers. Especially not when they take part on matches on his own channel.
