Thrift stores are the best for VHS man, great haul, and loving the new space/background, and you are correct Sir calling "groundhog day" a classic. Murray rocks. Much love - Biker
Thanks getting the room together took way more than I figured. Almost finished and back to making and watching videos. Obviously I’ll watch anything with Bill Murray Groundhog Day hits all the right notes I couldn’t believe I didn’t have it in the collection.
Suburban Commando is a great find. Definitely not one you really see out in the wild. Love the lenticular snapper for Ghost Ship. One of my faves. Great pickups!
No it’s not, a sweet addition for sure. I remember when DVD was still new and all my friends hated the snap cases not me they’ve always been a favorite of mine.
I still have about 250 vhs tapes, and I'm always looking around to find dvd replacements, mainly to try and save shelf space! But it's nice to hang on to the older, more obscure titles to have in a collection. My last vhs watches was Medicine Man with sean connery and Nighthawks with sylvester stallone.
Great titles! Trying to save shelf space always trying to upgrade my DVDs and every time I do I find 5 more I didn’t have. It’s crazy to think how many titles never made it to dvd or blu-ray
I regret not picking up a copy of Blade Runner on HD DVD even thought i can't play it I just love the movie and it was the first 4K movie i bought and watched
I still collect HD-DVD it’s not as easy as VHS. I’m sure you can find Blade Runner on other formats through eBay sometimes you can get a decent price if you wait for an auction. Blade Runner is great the 4k was a day one pickup for me.
Until a couple of years ago my local thrift stores wouldn’t accept VHS but now that seems to have changed and I see a lot. I’m not going to get back into that format now but I do like seeing what pops up….I have that same West Side Story set, I love the movie (and Spielberg’s version)…DOA is quite a good one, a remake of the 1949 movie. The directors on this one also did a tv show I used to watch in the 80s called Max Headroom. They also directed the 1993 Super Mario Bros
When dvd came out it didn’t take long for me to ditch the VHS but about 5 or 6 years ago I saw that people were throwing away the old tube tvs at the same time I found a VCR at the thrift store. I have a few hundred or so and not many titles I have on other formats. Every Sunday we have an 80s movie day watch old Tapes on the old tube tv just a fun tradition. Haven’t watched the new West Side Story yet. I didn’t know that about DOA, vaguely remember Max Headroom, I do enjoy that Mario Movie.
Vhs love 📼👍 you know i love a vhs 📼 tape, iv just managed to collect 7 Warner home video 1 st releases il make a video of it next week spoiler it stars roger Moore in all 7 📼👌🎥
Nice can’t go wrong with Roger Moore! I can’t help my self with the VHS I will always upgrade the DVDs and trade them in but actively look for the tapes probably a couple hundred at this point maybe I’ll do a complete collection video soon.
