Please do watch the "light & sound" show of the cellular jail ,in the evening. I have been to Andaman in the year 2013, its been exactly 10 yrs now and I memories are still so vivid. This place certainly reminds us of the cruelty that the British Raj had done to the bravehearts of our nation. There were nearly 20 marble slabs where the names of people were written who were there out of which nearly 14 slabs were of people from my state of West Bengal. No one knows this , its KAAL PANI, meaning , the KAAL ie the TIME and PANI, the Hand, so meaning the "HAND OF THE TIME", its nothing to do with KAALA ie Black and PANI ie Water so the BLACK WATER, Hope it helps

Hi..Soumit I'm from Port Blair, I want to share this with you Have you noticed something in this cage prison? As you said there were 693 cage cells, so at least 693 people might be locked up, where are the toilets for these people!!!?, did you see anywhere in the jail complex, or in the model jail in the gallery, like this even if one person is executed per day then one rope is enough , then why three ropes are hanging?. in the year 1996 I think so for construction of compound wall digging works were carried out during the digging lot of buried bones were taken. 😮
