The big interview with Matchroom Pool boss Emily Frazer. Karl Boyes asks the searching questions about the exciting journey of the World Nineball Tour.
We discuss the new $1m World Pool Championship being held in Saudi Arabia. Also the qualification and ranking system for the new Pro tour. The upcoming first major of the year, the Premier league pool. Asking about dates announcement for the Mosconi Cup 2024 and the searching question of more pro pool events in the USA. We ask the question on the Reyes Cup, the tournament named after the legend Efren Bata Reyes. Make sure you watch it all to get all the answers.

Tell her to have the US Pro Pool players do things like Stephen Hendrey and Mark Wilson did on the Cue Tips Channel today on RU-vid. That is the type of things pool needs to raise ita popularity and promote the players.....at least the ones who can form a sentence.

It's such a shame there is no 9 ball scene in the UK, I live in South Wales and I only know of 2 clubs in like a 20 mile radius that has a 9 ball table.

@@julianjones4181Same here. I moved here from Hungary 10 years ago. It’s extremely popular and you can get easily to places. I used to play tournaments and any conpetitions 2x nearly every week. Same with other countries in Europe. I thought it’s the same here. Now I have to drive 25 miles, pay for parking…etc to be able to play american pool. 😂 No tournaments either 😶 I’m ok to play english biliards, but it’s not the same.

When the Mosconi Cup is played in the US, it needs to move to different cities to help spread it's popularity. New York, Miami, Orlando, LA, Chicago, St. Louis. You would need 5,000 seats in New York. Pool is huge in Florida.

It seems a bit discouraging in my opinion for the "not 128" people in these open events... travel to qualify, travel to the open and pay $700 entry, best case scenario place highly in an event against the 128, and then not get any ranking points. I could definitely see not giving unseeded players Mosconi cup spots, but let us strive to climb up the rankings! P.S. Karl and matchroom are awesome!

If you have to qualify then it is not an "open". Do Brits have a different definition for open? Also, maybe I misunderstood, but if the whole 128 signed players show up then no one can get in through the quals? Great interview. Cant wait to see the future of Matchrrom and WNT :)

My analysis over the last year suggest the production needs more high speed footage and perhaps thermal that show burn marks from draw and such. 40 year man Scott.

I feel for her, i bet it must be tough, constantly being pushed from every direction, whined to, prompted, asked of, all from so many players and officials around the world, as to what's happening, why not this or that, what do i do about this next. It must be like being stuck in a dark field, with a torch that flickers on for a moment and from random directions. Definitely the inspired sort. The Hearn's may turn to hernias one day if she slips up. But i have faith in you Emily. - Nice interview Karl.

Karl: I live in Florida and I’m 74 and don’t travel much anymore and not in any leagues, (BCA,APA) but my lady friend is and does win trips to Las Vegas with her team. I love your You Tube channel and what’s in the bag. I’m asking that you add something more to your interview to what’s in the bag. That would be travel how do the pro ship their cues all over the world. Not allowed as carry on and the pro’s have some big cases and very expensive cues. What kind of case do they put their case in to protect them from the animal baggage handlers the airlines employ? There has to be over 10,000 that travel to Vegas every year with their cues and I have heard sorry stories of what has happen to them, broken missing, miss flight, stolen. I would be very interesting to hear how the top players handle theirs.

We always buy a bigger suitcase and just put the cue case inside the bag, a lot of the players have like ski style bags 😄 thanks for watching the channel stay tuned we have a amazing video this Sunday

Better revert back the WPC 9BALL CHAMPIONSHIP to its old format that RACE TO 17 Finals. Because RACE TO 13 is way too short for any world championship event.

@scottfrost8956 I'm not saying America doesn't have some of the best players it most certainly does... let me clarify... I fear that American youth are not exposed to billiards today as much as our generation was... when I was growing up, every house in my neighborhood had a pool table in the basement. It was very common that we would play 20 hours straight on 3-4 different tables. We need to find a way to drag the kids away from their gaming console and get them to a pool table if we are ever going to see any real up and coming American pool stars. IMHO PS. I would love to hang out with the likes of yourself and Karl. I'm sure it would do wonders to improve my game.

When is matchroom going to invest in 8 ball pool? As it is growing faster than nine ball in Europe and the uk and China. 8 ball pool in China world championship winner got $750,000 next year they are aiming for $1m prize money. Most of the snooker players are turning to 8 ball pool, so when are matchroom going to get involved in the sport? Where does matchroom stand on 8 ball pool and the future of billiards sports? They are even pushing for 8 ball pool & snooker to be part of the Olympics. America is not the be all of pool, it’s just one market, it doesn’t even have the biggest prize money in pool.

@@bertblue9683 two different skills sets. Tho nine ball and Chinese 8 ball are close as the balls and table size are the same. British pool balls and table are smaller and have different rules to Chinese 8 ball also. Do feel that matchroom could have a nine ball and Chinese 8 ball competition at the same location one after the other. Which would bring in more professionals or even have more open competitions for people to enter. You may also get some nine ball players entering in the Chinese 8 ball competition and some Chinese 8 ball players entering the nine ball competition. But as for your comment you clearly haven’t seen karl or Chris Melling play in ultimate pool in the uk.
