Kileleshwa Estate is named after the formidable Leleshwa tree. This tree is native to Naivasha and is one of the few indigenous trees that can regenerate once cut down or burnt. It is a durable tree - stubbornly un-swayed by unfavourable conditions.

KILELE- peak KELELE- noise so kilele nyama would mean (meat at its peak) ,sorry your uber driver is not informed in that sector,but all the other things he said is quite true , kileleshwa is not a poshy estate its just an upper middle class area, posh estates are like Karen where the giraffe center is located.

Kilele translates to climax of something,or tip eg tip of a mountain. Kelele translates to noise.

That cab driver has missed it. Kilele - is at the tip of a mountain or on top of anything raised. Kelele is noise.
