This is amazing! Was in Kerela many years back but not during any of these festivals. Thinking of the Henley Royal Regatta that I used to attend back in the UK.
@keriddunk1520 There were no more tickets left, so I had to try something as we found out at the last minute, I think I made it up to the people with the interactions and fun I had with people, stopping at every moment to meet people and take selfies, etc etc

Now when you come, understand the feeling of this and go to the villages, then you will understand how to do this boat race. And what are the preparations before conducting. If you try to enjoy the sights the way you have just traveled, you will not understand anything. The name of this boat race is Nehru Trophy (Vallamkali) boat race. Nehru is the former Prime Minister of India and it is a trophy autographed by him. That trophy is awarded to the winning boat😌❤️
I know this bro. But as I say in the video we where told about the race in the morning and jumped the next train from kochi, I am now over in alleppey staying in a home stay just near where the race was, to learn about the area
