If you're wondering what asynchronous class discussions in online college courses sound like, this is 100% accurate. Zero effort and classmates responding with empty platitudes. Love it.
i chose the critique this assignment because of how thoroughly engaged i was through out this video. the timing, cadence, and creative use of one liners and stops allowed for me to chuckle lightheartedly at the content. i am greatly impressed

This unironically reminded me about why I love online classes. Lowkey, in one of my biology classes there was this guy who called himself "Bear the Wizard" and in his introduction he said he wouldn't reveal his real name because names hold power. I don't know what happened to Bear the Wizard because he never posted on another discussion board, but he holds a place in my heart that I will never forget.
Just a reminder that at 10:50 Anthony threatened some stranger with death in case they tell some one else about his fictional person that he forged just to take this class
Well, well, well, looks like Anthony has been taking his "fake it till you make it" strategy a bit too seriously. I mean, threatening someone with death just to keep up appearances? That's some serious commitment to the craft right there. Let's just hope he doesn't take it too far and ends up forging his own death certificate just to avoid taking exams. Stay safe, Anthony!
This video was funny enough to distract me from the despair of the falling standards of our education system, the fact that people go into immense debt to get degrees where they're forced to pay for useless electives like this, and the mental image of this professor who put years of their life into getting a doctorate crying into their pillow at night cursing their life choices. Good job! A+
I mean in Europe is a bit better. But holy crap, If I was an american citizen I would have just done courses online and worked,. I mean college debt sounds like a trap, unless you are not doing something with science/medicine/engineering(although they teach you matlab cringe) or politics(idk)
@@jorodino1317 nope, Europe isnt better at all xD. I was in a private University to learn GameArt, unfortunately I was too naive to recognize that it was basically an /overpriced Skillshare course/ with a degree that has the worth of a piece of toilet paper you wipe your ass with. These Universities are in multiple countries.
Just care more! College, like Tony P points out, is a ton of money - make the most out of everything! Who cares if no one else is trying - just do what makes you happy (with a little bit of things out of your comfort zone so you can explore more)
I was gonna say that people would not do it because of being scared of what grade they might get (because the teacher might not like that), then I remembered this is a youtube lesson, who cares about what grade you get in a lesson of how to make yt videos
Who needs a gym membership when you can just watch deadpan humor videos? I mean, the abs workout from laughing at those jokes is no joke! I'm pretty sure I just got a six-pack from this video alone. And if you're on the floor, might as well do some crunches while you're at it, right? Keep laughing and working those abs Shanleen Kinn Jaskey!
Translation for 6:54 for those wondering: "Each of these comedians is super fun! I like Zhou Libo's set, he keeps the audience involved! Super hilarious! Hearing them during your childhood played such a pivotal moment, so cool!" Tony P knows Mandarin? We stan! Honestly not a bad first attempt! I've been fascinated with Chinese culture and history ever since the 2008 Summer Olympics happened when I was a kid. There was a Mandarin class on offer at my middle school in Jersey City, so I decided to take it for one marking period (basically the way my middle school worked was a certain period of the day kept getting switched around whether it's Gym for one quarter, Drama another, or Spanish the next) instead of Spanish and that one marking quarter was not enough to grasp the language. It's a difficult language to learn for sure, but once you give it a chance and keep practicing, you grow and evolve by opening a door to another culture.
Man, what the professor said really hit me. I’ve been struggling with focusing on either making content that will get people’s attention, or just making things because I like to make them. At the end of the day, I’m appreciative of the subscribers I have that have always been there to support me, because they actually like my content!
This is eerily similar to the community college public speaking class I took last semester. My favorite moment was the final exam speech where the time minimum was 6 minutes, and I submitted a 2 minute speech that included a thesis statement with three main ideas. There was one paragraph. I got a 90.
In high school I took a media productions class and the final assignment was a 10-minute minimum short film. Mine was 2 minutes, with 30 seconds of it being a shot of me peeing into a urinal. Also got a 90
This video was truly inspiring. I could feel the effort; blood, sweat and tears that went into it. The act if putting on a wig and glasses truly criticizes the "Online Persona" that so many of us put on as we surf the web. The color symbolism of the wig being blonde while contrasting the true brown hair, is true poetry. I could not give a better recomendation, for this videos deep diving into how we communicate in our modern environment. 8/10 No Dog.
As a med student who never had to take these kind of elective classes (just lectures and internships and more practical classes), I will from now on continue to believe that this is what uni is like for everyone else. Fun!
The students put in more effort than the professor. He just had the students do the critiquing for him. $3000 to be taught like that? Sounds like a waste to me.
What did you think was wholesome about it? Anthpo exposing all these other students' amateurish and embarrassing videos to his audience came off really mean spirited to me.
I love that there was a considerable amount of people in the class that seemingly had never made a video before in their lives or even just plain dont watch youtube.
I chose to critique this video post because Tony showed a lot of passion for the videos, a dramatic timeline and goals that are created and reached fulfillingly. I dearly appreciate all the humor put into this assignment.
As a senior in college myself, this was really fun to watch. Going out of your way to do the craziest things is what makes college memorable. Especially if it’s your last year. Thanks for the laughs!
that is crazy that a real actual official college has a course on something you can literally do with no experience for free at anytime with any equipment. i really hope people didnt spend their money expecting this would 100% make them youtube famous and be able to make a living on it.
In Denmark we have esports classes which i considered to be a little abnormal, but never in my wildest dreams would i have thought that the US would have $3000 RU-vid classes
@@tommymaxey2665 the BIG ones are $25k??? $25k is cheap state school tuition. Some of the top rated schools in the country are close to $100k for a single year.
I chose to critique this assignment because I believe that tony P, also known formally as Anthony Po, did a fantastic job keeping his audience engaged and excited through the video. This can typically be a challenge especially with a longer form video like this, however Anthony Po somehow managed to make the viewer smile and laugh throughout it. Although I believe the video was well formatted I believe a couple things were missing, for example a follow up on the girl who signed the NDA. I believe that we, the viewer, should have at the very least seen what happened to her after the submission of this video. Other than that I believe this video was well done, the formatting, audio, and music inclusion all added to the video and the viewers enjoyment of the project as well. I believe if this level of content creation is kept up at a steady pace, about once a week per-say, Antony Po has a real shot at making it big within this industry. All in all I believe that Anthony has a real talent in editing, and comedy, this duo is really beneficial in content creation as it allowed for Anthony to put together am enjoyable video. Like I said previously the only thing I’d prefer is a better conclusion of all the events. Besides that the video was really great, I wish the best of luck to you Tony. Keep up the great work!
Im German and had a basic Spanish course. Seeing Anthpo speaking Spanish and me not understanding him because i failed Spanish classes inspired me not to learn Spanish.
"It was almost as if I was being transported into another world! A world filled with trial and tribulation. A world where good must face evil. A world where Fernando's voice bellows through the skies and reaches every man, woman, and child, lovingly" so in other words, Fernando is Jesus...I am loving this timeline we're living in. And Keely's been real quiet since Tony P dropped this diss track. The fact that Trevor Noah never responded back shows how much of a coward he is against an immortal like Tony P. Trevor is simply jealous of Tony's superiority. Also, shoutout to Jonathan's bird. His bird really did steal the show. The bird is the word, comrades. I have spoken.
i really appreciate that tony p took his New York roots seriously and sang a frankie sinatra song. although, may i suggest that's amore by dean martin next time? perhaps accompanied by a pizza or something
so Anthony has 1.5m subs, most of his videos are filmed in college, and there are people who still don't know him including.. a YT class professor? how? 😀
I have a feeling the professor DID know and was vaguely hinting at it. Or the professor found out and directly asked him at some point off-camera, leading to Anthony asking to collaborate with him on the Zoom call for the video.
Although 1.5m is an incredible amount, it's still only covers a really small percentage of the english speaking world. So even with his colleagues and prof being more likely to know him, it's still unprobable.
This absolutely is one of the classes that a student takes so they get a credit but are taking some INSANE classes otherwise and just desperately need a break Edit: to clarify, you can tell from the pointless quizzes along with the asynchronicity. If you had no pointless quizzes to buffer your grade, a single missed assignment while taking care of the more important classes absolutely could mean failure.
This is by far one of my favorite videos on this website. The editing, effort, storyline, comedy, everything was just impeccable. I have seen many of videos on yt in my day but few of this quality and rarely even comment on a video. Great job anthpo! You will forever remain in my heart as one of the best youtubers i’ve been lucky to find. Keep up the good work!
Lmao I loved this, reminded me of the bullshit classes I took at my big state university. My favorite course was "Video Games in Latin American Culture" for 3 credits.....I was an economics major....
I need to take this class! My school had a writing class that they advertised as being for RU-vid, but I'm skeptical I'll learn anything valuable from it. I have been able to incorporate my "youtube skills" into other video projects on topics like law and latin american history and I tend to get a very high grade in those projects. I joke it's because the profs have low expectations for video projects and when I whip out a good quality well-edited video they automatically award an A. It's cool seeing a class where most of the assignments are videos and not just papers or tests.
Anthpo truly has some of the best storytelling skills of any creator on the platform! He always knows how to make random things interesting and I’m rly gonna be sad if he ends up leaving RU-vid.
I decided to review this video because it had some great editing and moments. The storytelling was on point and seeing Tony Ps journey to recognition from the teacher was heartwarming. I just hope all these ppls vids he used allowed them to be used. I mean he literally kinda put everyone on blast and it kinda leave me with the ick after getting a chuckle. Can’t wait for ur next video
Anthpo great video through in and through out. Each minutes goes by and I never felt like I wasted my time. This is the future of consumable content for people who do no want to deal with their responsibilities. I cried, I laughed, I jerked, I barfed. Thank you for providing worthy content for my eyes. Can't wait for the next.
Idk if you're in college already or have graduated or something but I can assure you that this is a joke class and college is much harder than this one course suggests
Watching this video was nothing short of a blessing. I felt thoroughly entertained the whole way through with many laughs along the way. But I realized something while watching this, Tony P may be important now. But in the long run we are all just on a giant rock floating in space. Maybe the real Tony P was the friends we made along the way.
Bro, I’m in actual shock right now at how affirming this is about opting to go to community college instead where all my prerequisites are all under $300 💀💀💀
What stuck with me the most from this video is the fact that a class at your university costs 2982$. I paid roughly 800-900€ for all of my 8 semesters of computer science. Thank god for "free" education.
Truly this video was spectacular! Every moment made me laugh or smile. The emotion Anthony brought into this video was amazing (Truly something else). The way he first introduced Tony p was stunning and they way he brought Tony on a other level of character development was breathtaking. "Every moment" I would say if anyone asked me what is my favorite part of this video. This video brought drama, action, comedy, pain, suffering, and more. So many emotions brought out to one. This video is a true master piece beyond all things; and what was it worth, blood? Sweat? Tears? Three thousand dollars for a call on how to be a RU-vidr. Which is dumb because yea there is ways like following the algorithm or whatever, but if you want to make stuff then make it no one is stopping you just go. Anyways, this video was worth the watch and felt like I gained 20 ish minutes of life instead of waisting it. 10/10 would recommend Biggest fan
I usually don't actually bust out laughing watching RU-vid, but you got me a couple of times here lmao. Glad you're making the most of your college years and especially your senior year, really wondering what the plan is after graduation.
Truly a one of a kind video. I expect nothing from one who stays true to themselves of course. Tony P did just that and did it all his way after all! But seriously this might be considered a magnum opus! Or just an Opus if you're less interested in your legacy than in your future!
