at the beginning she seemed tolerable, but as soon as she got into that taxi and opened her mouth, my jaw dropped. I feel so bad for the taxi driver jesus

The racism embedded in that interaction with the Uber driver is horrific

I know this was a year ago, but considering he himself struggled with an ED, Ben’s a lot stronger and more mature than I am, because the minute TVT called EDs “thinking disorders”, I probably would’ve screamed at her or slapped her.

The Uber driver was so polite he said ma’am I don’t wanna get into this discussion. And then stopped talking, respect.

That fact that he was calm and respectful throughout the whole video even when she was disrespectful shows how mature he is

re-watching this a year later is so interesting. you can tell that she DOES hold a lot of empathy, she just doesn't hold it where she should. of course it's important to respect animals; but you should also hold that respect for other humans. its that simple.

As a Muslim, that part in the video really hits home. The cab driver didn’t want to explain, but I would be happy to explain why we don’t eat pigs. We don’t eat pigs because they roll around in mud and are dirty, has nothing to do with veganism. Also yes Muslims can be vegan it says nowhere in the Quran that we can’t. But at Arab gatherings 75% of the food has meat in it and like 90% of it isn’t vegan at all! So it’s pretty hard to be vegan as a Muslim. But if you are vegan it’s your choice and I’m not trying to degrade you! This is just an explanation that he didn’t want to say which I totally understand! It’s his privacy!

the fact that ben didn’t get mad at her for the eating disorder comment is proof that he has very good patience.

If it weren’t for her aggressiveness and how offensive she is to people, she would be the coolest grandma ever. Her house is also freaking sick.

Her basically saying that the N-word is perfectly fine to say is just, disgusting.

Can't believe im only just watching this a year later. You did an amazing job ben! Your video definitely shows both sides of the argument. By all means there are parts of your time with the vegan teacher that truly show the goodness in her heart and the message she is trying to spread. However we all see the awkwardness, aggression and lack of respect that has garnered the negative responses too. I myself got a little triggered at her occasional hypocrisy, like when shes in the shopping cart mimicing whiping motions at you - something i think she'd criticise if she'd seen in someone else's video - as well as comments like "dairy is disgusting in someone's body", obviously not accounting for lactating women who produce dairy, and the offence to the religion of that poor taxi driver who was nothing but accommodating until he felt the need to set some boundaries (which were ignored). Truly insightful into part of the vegan teacher's life and who she is as a person

as a muslim, watching that uber part made me feel uncomfortable myself, especially how she was telling the uber driver abt our religion when she doesn’t know it well, i’m so glad that ben acted so calm in that situation, she even shoved the camera at his face like what…i’m so glad ben respects our religion

I just watched the whole video and I gotta say: • Ben was very respectful to her, even if she was pissing him off and making him feel all types of things. He was a good guest and to be honest, he didn’t shine her in a bad light, he didn’t say anything really rude about her, and didn’t try to push her as this big mean rude old woman. • Mrs Kadie seems like she is a person who genuinely cares so, so much for the animals, and I don’t think she realizes that what she’s doing is wrong. She does realize that it immensely bothers people, but I think her perspective is that she has to be like this person who pushes people to the limits and offend people just to prove the point. • This video was very well thought out, with almost no jokes, showing that Ben wasn’t trying to make a fool of her, or make fun of her at all. • What I think is that Kadie seems like a misunderstood person who does drastic things to prove her point and feelings about being vegan, because she cares so deeply about the animals, which I can get. But it doesn’t mean that she should offend all sorts of people and make them feel uncomfortable and violated in any way. and this is coming from a 12 soon to be 13yr old so that’s that I wrote a whole Ted talk 💀

The fact she harassed that Uber driver and then proceeded to text Ben that she's scared says everything about her

The fact at the starting vegan teacher and Ben were kinda enjoying a bit but when it came to the taxi driver part that’s when Ben was very uncomfortable and was not that interested

I got so much second-hand embarrassment..poor Ben. He is very respectful.

She takes peoples shoes and runs around in them at 3:00 am (that vegan teacher at 3:00 am) 8. She talks to strangers about their private life despite them saying no 9. She invalidates peoples beliefs 10. Shes scared of people that get mad at her when she invades their privacy 11. She randomly starts feeling 12. She has young fans that want pics with her 13. Even though when she was young she road a real horse shes upset that young children ride plastic horses 14. Wants strangers to do weird dances with her 15. She pretended that ben gave her a outfit that barely covered herself 16. She pretended like ben had been kidnapped by her There are more but im lazy

As a beginner vegan activist, it's so interesting to watch her... It's like the embodiment of all the thoughts all vegans have at some point in their lives, but absolutely deprived from any filters, any consideration of human emotion, experience or even psychology. I was much "angrier" when I was young, I didn't understand how people worked, especially because I'm autistic (which she might be as well) but growing up I made an effort and I've realized that kindness and understanding is the key to a human heart. Guilt and shame lead to backtracking, burn out or the worst thing, which is her biggest crime, making people hate the entire concept of change. I don't think she knows how much harm she's doing for her own cause and it pains me. It pains me that she doesn't know why people hate her and she's almost used to it at this point - people hate activists. They don't. Some do, but that's absolutely not the default. I've changed the minds of many people around me, family and friends and sometimes I felt frustrated, but ultimately it never leads to anything. Remember to be kind to animals AND humans 🐤🐄🌱🩷
