Atlantic Ensemble member Mary Steenburgen & Ted Danson selected a song written by Dolly Parton to be performed by Alex Newell at our Couples' Choice Gala. #FeelGoodFriday, indeed!
i did stop watching glee around when you joined the show because the plot was falling apart, but i’m so glad to have found you again. you are literally one of my icons now.
Why are people not talking about this? When the room is quiet and he points the drum cues in and he belts out “🎶 and I...” I keep rewinding and watching that over and over “ wish I was in the room performance of a lifetime to witness. Alex I want to know was that dramatic point improv? It felt sassy and like... you guys think you’ve seen it all...wait for it... I’m about to bring you to a whole nother level of fabulousness!
I believe I've seen a lot of great singers such as Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Jennifer Hudson,... had done this kind of hand gesture to cue the band in whenever there's a big break in the song.
I just listened to this!!…AMAZING….I just found out they are canceling ZOE PLAY LIST which ALEX NEWELL is a part of..So Sad they canceled it…Alex was one of my FAVORITES on the series!!!…amazing, talented, beautiful SINGER AND ACTOR!!….Someone BRING BACK ZOE so we can enjoy our Alex’s TALENTED VOICE!!!
Damn. Seriously? First I’d heard about cancellation. One of the few network shows I made a point to watch. Even those numbers with those not naturally gifted were still handled well. And Alex set the screen afire with every line and every song. I could tell by the final episode of the season that it was written in a way that provided a level of closure if it wasn’t renewed, but I would still prefer more.
@@treenutbutterin my personal opinion, no matter the pronoun used to specify gender identity, this extraordinarily gifted human being is truly a theatrical force to be reckoned with no qualms about it ❤
I was never familiar with them. Growing up watching "Fame" I just couldn't get into "Glee". I did try though. But it's nice to see them getting shine. After hearing Whitney sing this live... nuff said.
I honestly do not know about the lover and the lane and the March and the dimes or the dames or the dunce. I am learning what Education is all about. The art and the science and the friction is captured. Of course it’s all about math.🇦🇪😳🥵🥶😶🌫️😱
So/sew if it’s about the voice singing, of course it’s a competition. The voice is a great show, how would eye know transcend voice. Now what kinda mix up business you all are trying to get me involved in.❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Everyone including Dolly Parton gives credit to Whitney. However there are still people who first and foremost love dolly’s lyrics and arrangements. Imagine hating a gem because someone else used their song after them.
Amazing voice, awesome range, thank u for sharing your talent, to all music lovers, please stop by on my channel, I have similar range (not as good as him of course), but pretty close (from what I’ve heard)
I thought the same thing! Respects to Dolly but the song was forgotten about until David Foster rearranged it, Whitney took it, interpreted it in her fashion and it went to a whole new level and reinvented her career.
@@davidburbage3348 Look, Whitney chose to use drugs & alcohol...We all have to choose a better, & more positive way to live! Just tryin' to tell it like it iz.
@@marijotells The insidious part that you've overlooked is, while that may be someone's choice in the beginning, that choice was soon taken away from her as those substances took over her life. She CERTAINLY didn't make the choice that they would kill her - or her daughter!
