I used to work for one of IPL’s competitors, so I will try to give a bit more information. When they talk about packaging, they’re more referring to reusable packaging (like the bread trays) as opposed to single use packaging. I believe IPL handle (collect, wash, repair) those trays on behalf of Allied Bakeries, there will be some contracts that they have where they own the products and rent them out to customers. It’s a small industry (in terms of competitors) that they’re in. I don’t think anyone else does those bread trays for pooling, as IPL have the contract, but the competitors are people like CHEP, IFCO and Tosca. Where I worked, we knew which competitor had which contract, when they were coming up for tender, how many trays they had, we could even work out roughly how much they charged for each type of tray. So those guys don’t need to be suspicious that a competitor would come by to sneak information lol. I’m trying to work out what those black stacks are, but I can’t quite see enough detail.

@@rogerborg Because in the 90s paparazzi's were filming celebs children then papers got sued and had to blur out there faces then some others sued papers for privacy things so its got into peoples psyche that every one is immune from filming them cos you can get sued It was the suing thing that started it ,every one in the west thought there image was worth money but its not in reality ,, But before that every one filmed everything .That is the only thing i can think of because you only get it in American and Europe.

Do they have a problem with drones frequently crashing into their yard? The warehouse is recent addition by IPL with offices and manufacturing at north end of the estate but limited yard space. Previously the unit was leased by DSV Logistics for a few years, refurbished 2022 and IPL relocated their storage and distribution. Great video. 👍⭐⭐⭐ From main offices on Mariner, the business used to be SDI which manufactured plastic containers & trays, by 2016 renamed OnePlastics Group (also known as One51) using same PP logo. The parent investment holdings company One51 acquired IPL in 2015. By 2021 the IPL signage was displayed. Seen another video of an IPL site in Manchester area and the acquisition history on their page.

The example regarding kids and footballs is actually really good. And 100% the company would be held liable in the case of an accident. The notion that “kids will be kids” is well established in law and companies would be expected to take reasonable precautions to protect the public. A wide open gate and some cameras probably wouldn’t be considered reasonable.

Those Cubes as you call them are Soak Aways, they go in a hole in the ground and drainage pipes are fed into them and they are covered over. Water soaks into the ground slowly from them.

This was a great interaction. I've been in transport and logistics ever since I had a paper round, I am now retired but I want to keep aware of Legislation and Road transport. l have my RSA CPC pass 98% (which I was disappointed with it should have been 100%, Ducks are someones livelihood)

The 16 channel public radio scanner thing is confusing to me. A scanner here in the US will pick up any frequency even if it's encrypted a real good one can even intercept the low band cell phone frequencies.
