i wish pickrates & viability didn't indicate an agent is 'broken'. like, obviously Omen is dominating in pickrates over the other controllers, but i think he's just fine design-wise, gameplay-wise. to make an analogy, i see him as like the Goldilocks 'just right' agent of Valorant; the other controllers have their own uses and niches, but Omen is the one who's 'just right'. i don't see him as super busted like old Chamber, he's only 'broken' because of how the other controllers are designed, if that makes sense. every other controller has been Riot trying to reinvent the wheel, when Omen already exists. sure, the Paranoia is strong, but i'd happily take some Astra buffs instead of Omen nerfs.

The fact that Iso, Deadlock and Sova’s ULTS give positional indicators before you get hit and Omen’s Paranoia just sneaky-like blinds you for 300 credits is pretty insane

atleast give astra ONE star that regenerates for late in rounds. If omen gets regenerating smokes, so should an Astra star

Omen is getting KJ treatment from last year. Perfectly balanced agent with a high pickrate because the competition is weak. Yet again the answer is to buff the other controllers but let's see what rito does

They should buff astra back to 5 star now that her abilities are bad or maybe decrease the recall timer to make her more aggressive. 4 star astra feels like she just lack the stopping power on defense and not helpful enough on attacking unless it’s post plant.

The paranoia is really good but I think the best strength of omen is his rechargeable smokes. He is the only agent with global smokes that he can infinitely recharge. Clove has them too but their not global and are short enough to need a delay meanwhile omen can (if need be) permasmoke an entrance. Brims' are not rechargeable and are very limited. Astra has only 4 bits of utility so having a lot of smokes means that you only smoke and do nothing else

I think a nice deadlock buff idea would be to make her wall her C ability and make her gravnet her signature on a 40 or 45 sec cooldown to help her with retakes or late round situations. edit: also give her the ability to pre-place a wall and activate it later like a cypher cage.

I remember when Gekko came out you made videos about how useless he’d be in pro play and stuff. How the fact that he can pick up his abilities again “will rarely work in pro play”. Who would’ve guessed over a year ago that he’d be in S tier now!

Nerfing omen aint solving shit, simply buff the others. Omen is good because he has been kinda untouched, Astra and Viper had nerfs, Brim is limited with range, Harbor is situational. All smokes had been getting are heavy nerfs.Then what after Omen, Clove will be popular then she will get nerfed, until all smokes get nerfed to useless shit. Unpopular role making less popular by making the smoke character people lean into(Omen) get nerfed.

The million dollar question is how can riot balance controllers while not making the role insufferable for 99% of the player base. Let’s be real, most players can’t smoke or don’t want to but balancing them out through nerfs would necessitate a double controller meta for every map

I still think iso is S tier, his free signature is the greatest ability to grace valorant. As an attacker, he has 12 seconds to force engagements with a shield. Defenders either give up the space, or use heavy util to delay or try to break the shield. Or they take a disadvantageous dry fight, risking giving Iso another 12 seconds of shield. His shield and ult combo is still unbelievably strong. For 7 ult points, it is also really easy to acquire.

viper is definitely S tier and super useful but it honestly feels like it's by design, because it's such a unique role compared to the rest of the controller class.

Omen doesn't need a nerf, he's not broken, he's just right. Not a Chamber or Viper level of broken, but people forget before his buff we had an Astra meta because SHE was broken, they killed Astra so thats why shes such a niche pick, I think if she got a buff and not a game breaking one, Omens pick rate would be lowered.

Add back 5 star Astra, make the ult cost an extra. Perfect trade off in my opinion, coming from an Astra main. You could also just buff the radius of her non smoke util so that she can be a little bit more helpful on holding off a site. For harbor, he needs a rework. An agent who only has smokes and an inconsistent ultimate is realistically awful. Make his cove last as a smoke after the shield is broken, and just completely change his c ability.

Hear me out…buff Astra in this way: Bring back 5 stars but First 2 stars do cost the same third one is gonna be a bit more expensive, fourth one would maybe cost Like a 2 of what they do now and the fifth would cost Like 3/3,5 of what does a SINGLE star cost now

I really don’t want an Omen nerf. I feel they should buff everyone else. Give Astra her 5th star back and maybe give Brim his 2nd stim back. We need to buff the other smokes not just keep nerfing people. For Clove maybe buff her Q Decay Ability and make it last longer

Cypher 100% belongs in S tier. Compared to other sentinels and other agents in general, his value is OUTRAGEOUS. He needs to be nerfed somehow

imo omen doesn't really need a nerf, I think he's pretty fair but all his abilities are a good mix. having a blind on a controller will always be good. he's supremely flexible and useful in almost every round. buffs to Astra and Brim would be nice to round that out, maybe give Astra her 5th star and idk what for brim but omen is pretty fair I think
