I thought my hair would NEVER grow. Constantly fighting and sometimes getting emotional as I would see everyone with long/growing hair while I was in this weird plateau and now we are here today, it's past my boob. You will achieve it!
Consistent protein treatments have helped me but I keep having set backs 😫. I get sick or just lazy and its a month since I washed my hair. Matted hair here we come, set back! End up tearing my hair from frustration and then the damage is done.
I don't have 4c hair but my routine was basically what a bunch of type 4 naturals did who had waist length hair (on youtube) which was...basically nothing(sounds stupid but bare with me). I had such a heavy duty schedule and was constantly styling my hair and getting aggravated with my zero progress, I went from using a bunch of products to a good Shampoo, deep condition with a plastic bag/cap and apply some conditioner and a bit of oil before braiding my hair or a bun and leaving it like that for 2 weeks before washing my hair again and covering my pillow with a satin covering. I did the bare minimum and reaped great results. Don't know if this will help but it sure helped me alot.
I was literally discussing the 6 inch hair growth goal with myself earlier this morning!! I, too, want waist length hair; I'm currently at armpit length.
I told my husband that I wanted to get to waist-length hair and I was, so I thought at bra strap length and when he measured it I was at waist-length already. I had stopped measuring my hair length and found out that I had reached that goal. Now my goal is tailbone length hair.
Ooooh! "Deeper than Hair TV." I want to save money for plane fare to see her at least 3-4 times a year. That's my new goal. Thanks Danielle (love your hair, btw.)
I grow 6 - 8 inches of hair a year (based on diet and hair massages) thanks to braids soaked in flaxseed gel mixed with a healthy protein/ moisture balance with a hint of Olaplex, I retain all of my length, I retained 6 inches last year ( i’m at 25 inches, thanks to no trimming). You will get there, I’ve cut my hair so many times thanks to a bad hair regimen in the past, and I still made it to waist length after 2 years. Your hair is going to look gorgeous at bra strap length and I can’t wait to see you reach your hair goal! 💗
@@Candicedickinsonllc I was being a bit dramatic 😂, I just dip my ends in homemade flaxseed gel after I braid my hair , it keeps my braid sleek and protects my ends. I’ve been doing this for 2 years and I love it!
I would LOVE to see you in Deeper Than Hair’s seat!!!💖💖💖 I am on a hair goal mission this year….so so so so many setbacks but I am finally learning my rhythm and below bra strap on my way to waist!!! Synthetic braids, hair oils, deep conditioning treatments with Ayurvedic and seasonal trims will be my method oh and aloe n grease! Let’s 👏🏾get 👏🏾these 👏🏾inches! 📏 We got this girl!!!
I have natural curly hair. Nowhere near your curl pattern. But I'll tell you what, you certainly have helped me, because I've been losing my hair. And, girl you are hilarious. I especially love the little skits that you do. Thank you so much for being you. Your trial and errors, are teaching tools. And the best part, going on that journey with you has helped my own hair growth. Truly we need each other more now than we ever have in our own lifetime. The difference is within us this fractal differences make up the beauty of humanity. A thumbprint all to our own. I hope people realize that we truly need each other. Some of my problematic things, I have gone from, long curly hair to losing my hair and going gray with my gray pattern completely different than my old hair. So I have crazy witchy wavy wiry white hair. And my black brown natural curl it looks hilarious. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, my husband's like oh look and witchy. And I'm like yeah not the pretty witch huh. The scary one. Cuz all my gray hairs are praising God. You know the highest hair the highest person to God I don't know how that goes I was just trying to be funny. Talk about looking electrified and Albert Einstein every morning. I learned a lot about protecting my hair whenever I sleep. I learned a lot about putting deep nutrients into my hair. And caring for my scalp. More than anyone I've learned from on RU-vid. I can actually say, I'm not completely bald on the right side of my head. Hooray. Keep doing what you're doing darling not only are you educational but you are superbly entertaining.
WE CAN DO IT! waist long hair Here WE GOOOO!!! also I want to start sewing my wardrobe and recycling the clothes I don't wear into useful things around the house. Just want to be creative...SUPER DUPER CREATIVE
The minute you started speaking in cursive I started thinking about all the cursive speaking/singing artists out there 😂😂 Also the little shop of horrors reference was too funny!! Also also…yay to being multi-passionate!! Your intro to your videos is one of the reasons why I started embracing being multi-passionate myself instead of forcing myself into a creative box. 💕💕 can’t wait to see what else you create on this channel
I relate to your hair goals. I’ve been trying to get waist length hair for 11 years. I’m finally making progress too - I straightened it recently and it’s past my bra strap! I hope fluff nugget achieves maximum volume and length this year.
I've literally been in the same boat with my hair. I stopped worrying about the length and more abt consistency and the health of my hair and I noticed a lot more retention last year. I'm gonna start incorporating ayurvedic ingredients in my already favorite products and more diy products. I'm hoping that'll keep me entertained/become my new hobby, and help my hair retain more length. Also eating healthier (like eating fruits, veggies and dark greens in my meals more often) and learning how to cook are more of my main goals for this year. Also learning how to do the splits on both sides and front!
You damn right we have noticed how fluff nugget is so much thicker, healthier, vibrant and all that goodness. Love your progress and let's go beastmode.
I recently cut my tailbone length natural hair to just above boob length. Super long hair seems nice until you actually have it. But that's for each person to discover by themselves. I enjoy shorter hair much more since it's more spontaneous, and also since hair locks up a lot of 'energy' and emotions. When I cut it off I felt reborn. Of course I hope you'll achieve your goals though. I'll be here to watch :)
You've got this! My only suggestion is if you are planning on going to a professional for your silk press and are also on a hair growth journey, go to the professional now! I went after a bit of a hair growth journey and they ended up having to cut a decent amount off due to damage I couldn't even see in my hair's natural state. Also, see if they offer the Olaplex silk press :) though, after she cut it, my hair has been retaining sooo much length!
Hi Danielle! Thank you for sharing your thoughts about hairgrowth and for actually being real about the struggle of growing out natural hair. My hair has been stuck at shoulder length for years on and on. It’s 2023 now and this year is THE YEAR and idc what I’m growing my hair out. What I have doing nowadays is just putting my hair in a protective style and oil my scalp and moisturize my ends and of course stopping the weird obsession with making my hair long and simple just nourishing my hair the way it wants itself to be and I have seen a difference in my hair!
I can see the growth. Let the silk press happen when you reach your goal. Keep doing what you're doing. Wash, trim, moisturize when needed, and always deep condition with heat. Try one new product at a time. I big chopped bra strap length hair, a second time in 2019 to twa. Now in 2022, I am approaching bra strap length. I wear twists, in an updo style, and keep ends tucked, My main goal is healthy hair.
I enjoy watching your journey because I have the same goal and it feels like we're doing this together ☺💖! I started really taking care of my hair a year ago and now it's past my collarbone kind of to my armpit and a goal of my is to achieve tailbone length hair. We'll achieve our goals one day I believe in us! 👍🏾
My hair goal is to grow out my crown area. The rest of my hair is waist length, but my crown has been continually breaking for years. It isn't thin, but not matter how much it grows I haven't been able to get it caught up with the rest of my hair. Iv'e recently been doing research and changing my habits, and so far I've seen some improvement. I refuse to do a big chop, but trim regularly. Hoping to see even more progress by the end of the year! I'd also like to document this on YT, but have a tendency to overthink when it comes to how I want to present it. Feels good to share these thoughts 'out loud' lol. Thanks Danielle 💜
As someone with chronic illness and migraines, I definitely cannot deep condition every week, but I do want to do it frequently. I did it well in 2021 (other than a pain flare in the end of the year) . I also want to focus on scalp health more than length. I got a frohawk/ tapered cut in October and I’m high risk so I haven’t been to the the hair stylist since (I’m in ny). I want to express myself more creatively and enjoy myself as well as I can.
My primary goal for the year is to keep hold of the things I've earned in the last two: peace and self-acceptance. Hair goal: 1950s curls on my waist length locs. One of my dearest friends bought me flexirods for my birthday. Now god needs to grant me the patience to let them completely dry before I take them out, lol.
Your hair has really grown. 👑You passed a lot of us up. You are officially hair goals. I do the bare minimum styling/manipulation to my hair. I finger comb my hair keep it hydrated and keep my scalp and hair moisturized. Stick to a routine hair regimen. Deep condition weekly. Never go to sleep as a loose natural without twists or braids with a hair wrap on. Talk nice to your crown and be gentle with your coils and she will flourish. Lastly I’ve never did a wash and go and I’m not! 🥴🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️❤️
My hair goal is to get my pregnancy hair back. My hair when I was pregnant was bra strap length without a silk press. Due my daughter being disabled she took alot from me in the end it was worth it. This was a great video!!!! Have a bless evening everyone.
All I use now is water and grease, it's been growing and getting more manageable more than ever. My 3 sisters' hair is also flourishing. Simplicity has been working out well for us.
I just started to follow you and have used some of your tips and I reached my first goal of waist length hair this year in the month of Sept. Its been nearly one year ago since I cut my hair and it grew back to waist length . Keep doing what you are doing you will get there .
I support you doing a video with Deeper than Hair TV. She loves hair, all sorts of hair and treats each person's strands with respect and love. PLEASE GO FOR IT with her. She is a darling person and is very very talented!!
You can do it!! I'm gonna be following alongside you and trying to gain some length as well. Right now I have shoulder-length hair, but hopefully starting to deep condition EVERY WEEK (I usually go every two weeks) will help! Wish us luck! 🥳
YES! Deep Than Hair TV is the one!!! I would love to see her do your hair! I love her videos and wish to have her professionally skilled hands and knowledge bless my hair. **putting that out in the universe**
I did my big chop at 21/22 then didn't cut my hair (except for getting trims) my hair was waist length by age 25, now my hair is now resting on my buttcrack at age 28. So it can definitely happen, it just takes hella time.
I have tailbone length hair now because of a consistent routine very similar to yours as well as keeping my hair in huge twist, keeping it tucked away in cute hairstyles that last a week or two. Ayuvedic herbs really help too. You WILL make your hair goals!! Keep it up!!!
Yes I call it too when she finally does get the professional silk press… “Deeper than Hair TV”!!!!!! will be the one to do so… Please sit this young lady beautiful spirit in your chair🙌🏾.. 💞💞
I've really been enjoying loose twists on stretched hair this winter. They offer a protective style, volume and length, and I can do a wide variety of styles with them. Can't wait to see how your growth journey continues!
Do you plan on doing lots of protective styles this year for growth? I want some inches too this year. I am literally sitting in an aztec clay mask as I type. Going to do about 6 cornrows for wigs and leave it for a month or so. Whats your favorite protective style?
Hi, my hair goals are: re-grow bald spot (don't know what it is), trim my hair when needed, stop changing products before knowing if they work, length, length retention and over all healthy hair.
You are so funny..and with the many voices that you do you are so Creative... Would love to hear you sing on your channel.. Love your hair videos...very informative..
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU!!! You are sooooo entertaining, brilliant and witty! I came for your hair videos, but stayed for your delightful personality. We never know WHO! -- is going to show up😆😆😆 as you! Love you Love you Love you! See you on Broadway real soon😘
I have now transitioned to the controversial straight hair/ pressed hair natural. After having big chopped and strictly a 4b/4c natural since last 2012, I have finally decided that I'm comfortable with the idea of straightening my hair "healthily" on a more regular basis. I've found it much more manageable based on my life style and level of laziness truth be told. I am a professional performer and with a very hectic schedule coming up I don't have the time to spend the hours my hair requires to look presentable (and not every style is a winner). **My goal is to maintain length, moisture, and manageability.** I am currently rocking natural layers and my hair is about chin length from front to ear and a little longer than shoulder length from crown to nape. I love where my hair is right now. This is actually the longest my hair has every been (even when I was relaxed - and I had been trying to grow my hair for years back then).
I’m so excited about you branching out and trying other types of videos because I’ve been wanting this for so long lol! Happy dance!! Thanking the universe in advance for the money to join your Patreon!! Wishing the best for you and everyone this year and beyond!! Much love!! 💕💕
I relaxed my hair this past weekend, but only because I learned how to take care of it, largely thanks to you. I’m continuing the length retention journey, I trimmed it yesterday so here’s to a fresh start of moisturizing and leaving it the hell alone. Wish me luck
I too want waist length hair. I also want to go to cosmetology school so that I can learn how to style my hair. I don’t know how to drive so I’m ready to learn that. I’m going to try alma, feenegrek, aloe Vera powders. Girl you got me thinking about how I am going to achieve this.
You are so awesome!! Consistency is the key. Regimens are NOT a one size fits all thing. Danielle with your discipline , innovation ,and being downright GORGEOUS you will blow your hair goals outta the water!! You can achieve , if you believe!!🤗🙌 PS where did you get that giant hair adornment ( scrunchie) I'd love to rock that to accent my "mass flurry!" Hair goal- aiming toward mid back...already brushing inch past shoulders...hooray!
