Hair to keep it healthy in a relaxed form takes more attention and time! So maybe see if you can find a hair dresser to help u do ur hair on a schedule.
You hear a lot of black men saying they don’t like weaves but then they also have a problem with our 4c hair, they like natural hair as long as it’s a mixed girls hair texture, like a loose curl pattern
Although the comment section may stone me for this…. Have you considered a texture release? This is not the same as a relaxer OR a texturizer. It is temporary and washes out over the course of a few months. It does not have the same cancer causing ingredients as a traditional relaxer or texturizer and could be something to look into to see if it could be right for you. Look up for example, the Avalon texture release system and a certified stylist near you who does it who could give you a consultation. That’s just my 2 cents!
You want hair that is cute, can withstand water and long. Well in fact our hair can do all those things. Try Locs Keep going with Extensions I remember going swimming with relaxer and the relaxer reacting with chlorine made my hair green.. you want to feel the eye sting of rain and sweat with relaxer product. Be patient. The person you were a few years ago dreamt of the hair length you have right now. Relaxed hair requires the same maintenance. Alopecia May be a sign to leave your hair alone to allow growth.
This video was very inspiring and real! You made me realize fears, thoughts and patterns I have myself and have a truly realistic way to reverse the mental damage. The fear part hit home! My hair is 16 inches and it was a journey getting there. Then life, stress, and body chemistry changes after I stopped breast feeding changed the density. Then my fear of losing everything I worked for was overwhelming and saddening. This video reached me, sis! Thank you for the depth of transparency and honesty. I’m going to implement the change in my thought patterns and ways.
Don't relax it. I use the rev/air on dry hair on if my blowout gets frizzy in the summer humidity. It'll smooth back out without damaging. Mist a bit of water and brush a section first if it's tangled then rev/air for about 30 seconds or so, it will look freshly flatironed again
So many ppl saying locs, as if we dont see the millions of videos online with ppl showcasing how dirty them shits are. Like you think that's gonna HELP?
Locs are incredibly clean, if you wash them. Just like with any other hairstyle. I have locs, and I wash my hair regularly, sometimes daily depending on if I sweat a lot that day. I also don't use products, so I don't have any residue to deal with.
I’m a girl with 3b/3c hair. I took the thumbnail as sarcasm, but I have the privilege to be able to do that. I understand how the messaging can be and is damaging.
How do you incorporate the oils into your haircare routine? Do you oil the scalp? Use it as treatment, pre-poo rinse, or just add it to a deep conditioner?
Me, reading the caption in the thumbnail What. Girl. What. No. No!!! *click* Ok, this isn't my lane, but seriously. You have my deadname and you're the only person I interact with who uses that name because hearing it feels like stepping on a toothpick with my eyeball. I'm gonna listen and absorb what you have to say, I just need to say that too.
I did a search yrd ago on natural hair issues and you was my 1st. You cried cuz you hated your hair. I think your very beautiful with thin hair. Our weaknesses makes us perfect
I have 3b/3c hair. It’s thick and I have no problem growing it, but my mom lost all her hair being pregnant with me (a quadruplet). She struggles. I feel I know her better through you since she doesn’t talk about it much, even sleeping in wigs. Thank you ❤.

I deffly felt the "change" iwas thinking abt cutting my hair, but instead I dyed it (ihaven't dyed my whole head in yrs). and ihaven't worn my natural hair out frfr in a long time. it's kinda a love/hate relationship, ijust hate doing my hair evryday or trying to figure out how to style it
I'm in my 40s and I've always had long hair post office so I cut off all of my hair and to tell you how much I love my hair now . And I'm not saying I will keep this for life ....I'm saying live the life in the period that you are in.
I’ve seen the toxicity in the community, but I’m too slow to give a care. I’ve worn a small messy Afro for years now. It’s a mess! Now figured out from my doctors why my hair never did grow or had the strength like I was younger because of lack of many nutrients. I am severely deficient in b12, vitamin D and another 1. Going for my 2nd round of shots for b12 to get to the bare minimum for normal level. lol. There may be a limit for people, but sometimes it may be a lack of something in your body. Make sure you get blood panel! No matter how much you moisturise, keratin mask or etc if your body isn’t doing well your hair won’t do well.
Have you ever considered micro locs?...🤔 That would essentially alleviate a lot of your concerns, especially with still being able to work out with no worries. Give it some thought.
