I want to get out of Denmark. Denmark is out to get me. I'm going to Germany. Not now. But eventually. Yeah. Then I can go real fast as much as I want to, probably.

Connecting to World of Trucks mainly just adds speed limited contracts that you can do. As well as allowing you to do seasonal events and whatnot, that will award in game items to decorate your truck. You'll never encounter another player after connecting your account. Multiplayer is something you'll have to manually setup.

in Denmark trucks are allowed to do a maximum of 80kmh (about 50mph) on the motorway while busses can do 100kmh

Someone who plays Euro truck like I play Grand Turismo.....Going for gaps that aren't there, going way too fast and ignoring the other drivers.....I like it! .😀

And Denmark does have that light thing the colonel get's fined in the UK for, all the time, doesn't it? I wasn't there since 2005, but back then you had to have your lights on, all day long.

@agolftwittler1223 It's not quite 40 years with lights on cars 24/7 in Denmark, because it was introduced in 1990 so it's "only" 34 years but you were close. 🫡

Good times lay ahead when words like "vengeance" are in the title for the game people claim to play "to relax" . This game needs that angry fist shake from Gran Prix Legends. But that's true for every car game except GPL : / Screw those speed limits, come to the Autobahn and let the bureaucracy target you for good. Visit Germany, where the highway system is always kaput but sometimes you can go really fast, so who cares and where the bureaucracy is pure enough to grow a Kafka.

External contracts doesn't mean you have rando's, it's jobs from world of trucking, pays decent for some of the jobs. Rando's are found in convoy mode or truckersMP so you're safe from them.... us..... me..... no them 🕵

If you go in to settings you can change the speed from 'Truck speed limit' to 'car speed limit' so you not forced to do 50 everywhere - you will not get speeding fine for doing car speed limit in ya truck - also means when you get to the Autobahn there is no limit at all and you could do 160km/h. Also it is better to access the freight market from the menu, doing it from the company will only give you that company cargo (from menu, if picked you'd get all cargo from 'Odense' for example)

Connecting to the "World of TRUCKS" pointedly not not tanks .. will mean you can do the SCS contracts they make.. HOWEVER more to your concern with that is that you will be speed limited. WOT just connects to their site you have to do a whole bunch of different things to actually play online in a convoy with other rando's. So connect away and have a look at their contracts. With the limited jobs its partially because you haven't been to the nearby cities to see what they have so their might have been only the one job at the time from where you were but there are times that the game hicups and forgets to load the other places in a city and sleeping at a bed icon place can help fix this.

Just so you know when connecting to WoT, you are still in single player. When you want to meet rando’s you need to run a convoy (standard game) or use TruckersMP

Hi colonel failure if you need any help with achievements there is 2 people that might be able to help you one is in America his channel is zilla blitz second gear and the other guy is in the UK his channel is the custard prophet and there is an achievement for driving each make of truck for 1000 miles

My use of country names tends to be deliberate and I rarely if ever refer to England (if I must apply a nationality, I'm British) so there was probably a purpose behind singling out the south of the island.

at this point im wondering why there hasent been a euro truck game in almost 12 years huh..yet every DLC is over 30$ .... i dont get the appeal of it anymore I just dont understand.

Well, it consistently maintains a very high number of players, moreso than any other simulator (or "simulator"). Farming Sim being the only one to come close. To that end, there's zero financial reason to make a new edition since the game and studio are well supported by DLC. Why is the DLC expensive? Because of its scale, and the work that went into it. Nobody really minds the cost as the amount of play hours it adds tends to be worth the price of admission. Meanwhile, they've pushed their tech a little with ATS, and quite possibly have another new core being worked on. World Truck Simulator? That'd be my guess. Bridge both games, add support for the rest of the world.
