What I love about that final gesture Itachi made towards Sasuke was that it showed how Itachi finally acknowledged Sasuke as an equal and an adult. Instead of flicking his forehead like he always used to, pushing him away, he instead brought Sasuke close and put their foreheads together as he poured his heart out to his brother at last after hiding things for so long.

Itachi is the definition of the word "Shinobi"

I remember crying for 8 minutes straight after seeing this episode.

The story of both Itachi and Sasuke is a testament to the curse of the Uchiha, Two brothers who loved eachother so much that literally nothing in the world compares, the old one sacrificed everything to let the young one live, and the young one was willing to destroy everything to avenge the old ones death, trapped by the way their world worked, never allowed to be happy together.

This episode made me, a grown man, cry every damn time

I always loved Itcahi. Even back in OG Naruto, I loved him, he was and still is my favorite guy from this series. I was sad when he died at first, but I knew it was coming so it didn't upset me that much. And I definitely didn't cry to it. But this episode, man, it broke my heart. To this day, this series is the only one to make me cry. And it all started with this episode. Itachi is a god among men. I don't care if he doesn't think he is deserving of being called perfect, because to me, he is the perfect person. He is kind, smart, strong and beautiful inside and out. Even if he had told Sasuke everything, there is no guarantee that Sasuke would have been able to stop their clan peacefully. And he would have tipped his hand to the whole clan, letting them know that he knew about their coup. That may have had his entire clan come after him. He did the best he could in his situation and its not his fault that things were out of his control and didn't work out. Sorry, this episode really is a gut punch, huh? I'm sure that there was a way to try to settle things without bloodshed. But Danzo would never have allowed for it because he wanted the Uchiha dead. He wanted their eyes, their power. And the only way he could get away with taking them, was if the Uchiha were all dead.

This is why this anime’s title should’ve been “itachi” damn it…

This is my millionth time watching Itachi telling the truth to sasuke and I still cry a river.

The scene itachi shows to sasuke is what he remembered the most in his memory. I'm crying 😭

There was a way to stop this. Shisui was going to use koto amatsukumi on itachi's father but danzo took his eye.

I just realised something, even if Itachi was here under Shisui most powerfull genjutsu, with the "mission" , to protect the Hidden Leaf , he still did not do anything to even hurt sasuke when he said he is going to destroy the village . That also proves how much he loved him being able to withstand that "mission" .

The first time I saw this episode and Madara Uchia was about to strike the five kage with his monster sized susanoo sword🗡⚔ I was like Itachi Uchia can you please hurry up faster😀.

We often talk about how Kakashi lost a lot, along with people like Tsunade, Hiruzen, Obito, Madara, Sasuke, and even Naruto in a way, but Itachi? He really got the short end of the stick in all this. I still cry whenever I hear his final words, reflecting on all that's unfair about his situation and how he had to live for years with a blood guilt forced upon him, gets killed by his own brother who he loved so dearly, then gets brought back to life against his will, then leaves for good with a heartwrenching line and practically helping to save the world in the process. Just... damn.

It doesn’t matter how much time passes, every single time I think of this scene I burst out into tears. 10 years later and I still cry 😭

Itachi tired to talk his clan out of it, plenty of times. it was too big for him to handle but he tried too anyway, which is why he calls himself a failure and planned to die one too at the hands of his brother.

I like the detail on Itachis final words, he was limping the same way he did the moment before he died, as if this episode is telling us how he wanted his death to be, tell sasuke the truth, but of course that didn't happen

I don’t care what anyone says, this top 3 saddest scenes not in just anime but in anything I have ever seen in my entire life. When you remember all he went through, how he wanted to be looked as a bad guy and accepted hate instead of love, them showing the scene with his parents, his speech afterwards and the nail in the coffin “I will love you always”. I swear there isn’t a better way to go out than to tell someone you care “I will love you no matter what”. I will be honest, many scenes in Naruto are very very sad the first time you watch them or even the second time but some scenes you can watch every time and feel emotional, this is one of them... If I ever wanted to be like someone in an anime is easily Itachi. Because my whole life I go about being humble and trying to not be arrogant, people can asume what they want about me but only I know who I am. I love everything about Itachi, he is my favorite character ever... I know he isn’t real but man I love you TOO, thank you for everything,!!!!!
