He didn’t do the forehead tap because the tap meant he was pushing him away protecting him from the truth and the pain. The hug is him accepting Sasuke and finally letting him in.

This scene crushes me the most. Makes me cry real tears no matter how many times I watch. Seeing Itachi cry before he killed his parents broke me, just seeing it through his perspective is heartbreaking, and his parents just accepted their fate, imagine what he had to go through. Back in episode 298, Itachi quoted "A true shinobi does not set out to seek glory, they protect from the shadows, that is a mark of a true ninja." which was what Shisui told him. Itachi literally protected everyone from the shadows, no one knew it was him. He went out as a hero saving everyone by releasing the reanimation jutsu. I'm glad that Sasuke now has closure especially from hearing the truth from Itachi himself. This is why Itachi is my number one favorite character in Naruto. RIP again to the goat Itachi. 🐐 😭 He truly deserved to be Hokage. 🙏🏾

Itachi is just... _different_ from other characters. He has gone through the most traumatic event and didn't break. He is a true shinobi and a loving brother.

Definitely the best villain of Naruto (you can argue about Pain but they're pretty much the same in terms of ideologies so) Edit: Orochimaru was also a fenomenal villain at the beginning but fell off over time, the guy legit made the anime into horror during the chunin exams lol :P

Everyone understands Sasuke. We know why is he doing it. It's human nature. But we don't say he's doing right thing.. he's definitely doing wrong. It's the whole moral in Naruto, Sasuke finally deciding to protect Konaha, the real way to honour Itachi. Itachi willing to sacrifice his people, and even brother to protect the Village. Naruto forgive Kurama, Obito and Nagato for killing his parents, friends, Sensei.

His journey from getting easily manipulated by Tobi, orochimaru and Itachi to taking his own decisions is well written. Nobody justifies madara but people still like him. But with Sasuke, many people fail to understand his character.

This arc basically shows that sasuke life was alot more f up than naruto in a reality standards, which is why naruto as a kid couldnt really truely understand sasuke emotional pain, Imagine being a kid living a fantasy of not knowing whats going on in reality , ur entire family clan got killed off by ur brother, got put into a genjutsu showing ur clans murder , feeling helpless in situation at times , fighting ur bro then see him die ,finding out the truth from some random stranger, and so on Dude had it rough so no one can blame sasuke for feeling what he feeling

Gotta remember, Hiruzen was always holding back and reluctant to fight Orochimaru. He was his student, he literally thought of him as an adopted son, and he let him get away when he cornered him in his lab where he was using human experiments, back when Orochimaru was still a Hidden Leaf Jounin. It wasnt until he realized he was really bouta die that he said aight imma steal all your jutsu to punish you, he STILL wasnt even thinking about killing him then.

Just so you know, after the fourth Shinobi world war when Naruto becomes hokage he does tell the world itachi was the one who undid the reanimation jutsu, which enabled them to win the war ,which means he was seen as a hero by the whole world, it wasn't easy to accept but no one questioned Naruto on the matter, which means Itachi's honor was restorex

One of the things we miss during Madara vs Kages is that after saying "But he's ( Hashirama ) is no longer here , Although you could say that actually work in your favour . Its just me , so the maps will only need to be redrawn a little bit" , Implying that if Hashirama was there they would battle each other and the structure of the lands wont be as same as seen now .... That was a savage dialogue bcoz it states that the destruction caused by the battle btw Madara nd all the current kages are nothing compared to a 1 v 1 battle btw Madara and Hashirama ( we have also seen what happened in such a battle )..... Since there is a slight gap btw the first and last part of this dialogue and we get caught up in the scene of Susanoo's destruction power , most of us really didnt got the significance or idea of this dialogue

Also i don’t believe itachi killed anyone after the uchiha massacre because he was a pacifist to war and killing. Another thing is that since killing a loved one gives you the ems, one of the many fan theories fans came up with of how itachi got cancer was from the amount of chakra that got released from the pain he felt killing his whole family.

14:02 Btw Sasuke wasnt weak at that fight vs Danzo, Zetsu restored all of his chakra after 5 kage summit so Sasuke could fight in his top shape against Danzo, Sasuke was weak(exhausted and loosing eyesight) after their fight when he encoutered kakashi

Well Hiruzen in the flashback is like half a decade younger. And Orochimaru said that if he was a full decade younger then Hiruzen would've bodied him. Itachi wasn't jack sh*t yet. He had Tsukuyomi but nothing else. He had no Susanoo or Amaterasu. Nothing. The Leaf had Danzo (hate him if you want he was strong), Root, Anbu, Jounin like Kakashi and Asuma, Hiruzen himself, Jiraiya, Yamato etc. And we must not forget. Out of the Uchiha Clan... only like 25% had the Sharingan. And even less knew how to use it... Besides Itachi and Fugaku (who btw is stronger than Itachi at this point of Time) no one was really strong enough to do sh*t against the leaf.

About the Naruto vs Pain comment, it’s hard to say. The little bit of time Naruto was in Sage Mode, he was scrapping pretty handily with Pain. If he had more time with Sage mode, he probably could have taken the W. Also, while he was in 6 tails, he was pressuring Pain pretty hard, so much so that he kinda believed he HAD to get the Chibaku Tensei out there rather immediately. Naruto’s fighting power seemed greater than Pains in both of those forms. Naruto reaching 8 or 9 tails was absolutely destroying the Chibaku Tensei and there was nothing Pain was able to do about it. Power wise, Naruto was the outright winner

14:14, jiraya who?!! Tsunade who!!?? They would've gotten bodied lol, I doubt there's a sole in the village that could stop itachi, and it's highly unlikely that guy has the 8th gate at this point, and not only that he would have the entire Uchiha clan by his side, and maybe tobi would aid him still, who knows.

Sasuke ran thru 3 kage and still beat danzo who had like 10 sharingan. Danzo is a sore loser

Might guy would've soloed itachi, fugaku both...other than that jiraiya is strong but i think itachi beats him...then there is someone like kakashi too...but masked madara was there too so it could've gone either way

Just to clarify Itachi whopped Orochimaru and Sasuke beat Danzo because of their Mangekyo Sharingan. I can promise you there aren’t many in the Uchiha who are alive and have that. The only ones were Shisui and Fugaku at the time (and Tobi if you count him). So the Uchiha’s are not all powerful Third Hokage could’ve taken a bunch of Uchiha’s if they don’t have Mangekyo but a ‘normal’ Sharingan is also no easy task to defeat. There was also Kakashi and Guy sensei etc who surpass most Jounin in all villages. So both sides would dramatically lose people which is the reason why they wanted Itachi to kill the Uchiha’s to prevent that and possible wars from allied nations due to a weakened state.

1) killed innocent uchiha children/women. 2) his community was facing discrimination, treated like outcast, for something they never did (kyubi attack). He knew that. It was clear government is corrupted when there are people like danzo. Still licked village's shoes. 3) tortured his brother, showing him killing parents, for 72 hours straight. Dude deserves a good place in hell.

I hate to be that guy but saskue was too young to understand politics. I think itachi should have said that if he talks to the third or kakashi there could have been another way.
