Many of you will remember George as the man who publicly confessed to cheating and beating his wife but still wanted her back so they can raise their two children together. His wife Hellen has been missing for two months but our reporter Lynn Ngugi traced her and she agreed to tell her side of the story.
One thing is clear though, Hellen is never going back to George but she promised to go see her kids once doors open for her.
We also brought in Grace Kariuki Nderitu, a marriage and family therapist to tackle this topic further and advise couples on the do's and don'ts in a relationship

Do you remember my request of the other side of story? I nowadays don't buy one sided story after my neighbour Jack, infected the "outgoing wife" with Aids. Suprisingly, the Jaluo inlaws were on Cindy's case ati ooh she's a malaya ooh sijui she's like this... Only for the family Doctor to pasua mbarika. This life, and my Cindy imagine she's okey. Pls temper this with forgiveness. l was an orphan with no family to stand by me when l suffered domestic violence for decades at the hand of my now ex-husband, who continued having extra-marital affairs and clubbing into his 40s. l stayed in that marriage because l wanted our 3 children to be brought up in a home where there is a mother and father. l forgave him, but left the marriage because l felt that he would eventually kill me if l didn't, thereby making our children orphans and wards of the state, because he would definitely have gone to prison for life as a result of all the written and photographic evidence the local police had gathered over decades of the abuse l suffered at the hands of my ex-husband, as a result of my neighbours in London here, always calling the police for mine and my children's protection when they hear my crying from being beaten up. l refused to prosecute him, because l couldn't bear to face my children one day to tell them that l put their father in prison for aggravated domestic violence. l choose to leave him and took our children with me, even though l had no money & no job. lf l was back in Nigeria, l would not have been allowed to take our children, because the law there favours the husband that he owns the children. Thankfully, the Law in England has been changed, giving the police and the courts the powers to prosecute any man for domestic violence, even if his wife refused to bring charges against him, and if he is a Policeman or Prison officer, he will automatically be dismissed from work for abusing his wife. I choose to forgive him, because Jesus Christ said in Ephesians 4:22 'Forgive one another just as Christ forgave us'. Hebrews 10:30, says 'Judge not, for vengeance is God's. In Exodus 14:14, God also says 'hold your peace and God will fight for you'. 10 yrs after we separated, he filed for divorce in which he lied that, my dead parents (who he never met) had colluded with myself and our three very young children to beat him up for years, and that he had ran away from us to save his life. He stated this in his divorce to get a quick divorce, so that he can marry his Landlady whom he had gotten pregnant. Unfortunately for him, 'he was played' because the woman was not pregnant, but only wanted him to give her and her kids British Citizenship, and officially adopt her children so that if he chooses to leave her, she can go after him in court for child support of her children which he had not fathered. A couple of years into their marriage, his cousin discovered that the new wife beats him up with a frying pan, and he is too ashamed to report her to the police. That shows you that everything we do on this earth, we will reap, no matter how long it takes. He has tearfully asked for mine and our childrens' forgiveness, which we told him that we had forgiven him over a decade ago, and for the 1st time in 20 yrs, he bought food ingredients for our children, and thanks me for having done a good job raising our children on my own, with no support from him, because they all turned out well; 1st child (son) is a Chartered Financial Adviser/Wealth Manager, the second child (the only daughter) is a lawyer, and the 3rd child (2nd son) is in his final yr at University. l hope the above helps someone out there to know that God will never leave you nor forsake you and your children, if you choose to leave a marriage which endangers your life and causes children trauma from witnessing the abuse. Forgiveness unburdens you of pain & bitterness, and allows you to heal. Stay blessed.

Basically, both George and the wife came together prematurely. They didn't have time to study and learn each other's strengths and weaknesses. George on one side, grew up in an environment that planted wrong stereotyped behavior that a woman must be beaten and harassed because they are worthless, and sex slave. The wife also, because she grew up an orphan, she had learnt to fight for herself. So, when she learnt that the husband is cheating on her, she resorted to revenge by also looking for a side guy. So, both of them are wrong! They should be counseled together, and start a fresh

Hellen talked and she didn't even cry even when her kids were mentioned...that tells alot. She also sounded relieved and peaceful. A woman can only persevere for so long. @@humanhomesolutions9782 - One of the most defining features of people with ‘Narcissistic Personality Disorder’ (NPD) is ‘lack of empathy’. People with NPD are emotionally immature (they are children in adult’s bodies), and unfortunately NPD is one of the few personality disorders that are almost impossible to treat. Counselling sometimes helps a bit though - but unless they get counselling for the rest of their lives, they will just revert back to their old behaviours :-(

I like the therapist, why don’t they teach parenthood classes in school. So many parents don’t know they are doing and when their children stumble and they think it’s independent of their actions. We determine how our children end up, and at times they will succeed regardless of our bad parenting however most people don’t overcome childhood trauma

Yes, the therapist is great, for sure! And teaching parenthood classes in school would be such a good idea! But what we should also be teaching in schools is ‘Empathy’. Empathy is not something you are born with, it has to be taught (I did not know that, until recently). And also, it’s important to teach empathy to children from when they are still young. If all children are taught about empathy while they are still young, that will greatly reduce marital and child abuse, as well as trauma, in the future.

Am going through the same, hehehehe dealing with a narcissist ain't easy, and don't ever joke with those demons they can suck a whole you until you feel like you're nothing and you don't deserve the best, I just had a fight with my baby daddy on 7th Sunday at night heeeeh thats when he was shocked about my true colors for two years I've never reacted to what he's made me go through. I fought him and broke his windscreen . He later called my step father to tell him the mess and how he's done with me. My step father called me and started saying all sorts of painful words against me. But I never gave him a damn to respect any. I was done I felt so much pain and anger I abused him . Now I don't talk to both of them am all alone with my son here. But to tell the truth I don't feel and regret and I never cried instead I prayed and asked God to give me strength everything will be okay. Now I can say that I was in a relationship with Charismatic Narcissist. Ladies don't ever fall for this. Don't be careful.

The psychological term for this situation is ‘Parental Alienation’, which is where one parent is turning the child/children against their other parent. And turning a child against their other parent is 'child psychological abuse'. Psychologists understand that even when children who have been physically abused by one or both of their parents, and are taken away from the parent/parents, the children still love those abusive parents. So if a child is rejecting one of their parents and shows no love for them, that is very unusual - and that is almost always because of Parental Alienation

Narcissists always blame everything on their partners. They are selfish,insecure,adulterous all the time,immature,mentally unstable and dangerous. This is a ticking time bomb.

Living with a Narcissist is hell on Earth. I live with one and it needs a lot of Grace to cope with this people but when violent comes in just ruuun. Helen May God See you Thru

Please Kendi, learn more on how to cope with a narcissist. I am old now and I didn't have the coping tools. Today, I am have muitiple stress related sickness. And, I am sure my life expendency will be short because of these long experiences with my hubby. Wishing you all the best. Thank God, information is available these days.
