Out of the blue, I received an email from an extraordinary team of filmmakers inviting me to #ExploreCanada. You may be surprised but my initial thought was 'panic'. It has been a lifelong ambition to visit Canada. Steeped in the expectation of an unforgettable adventure, did I really want my bucket list ticked off by a press trip? And then I landed...
What started as a 'job' became a life-changing experience in which I met the most extraordinary people, fell deeply in love with the land, lost myself in nature's tranquillity and found a part of me I never knew existed.

In today's video, the one and only Frank Kuaick - 84 years young - shows us the wonders of Algonquin Park. Having guided ever acre for the past 74 years, he knows the land better than anyone. I spent my time bemused, in awe and in love with his colourful company and amazing stories. From fending off a bear one-handed or losing half his lung and getting back on the water a week later, I will never meet another human like Frank. Fact. Under his expert tuition, we spent the day fishing on the lakes of Arowhon Pines and prepared the freshest of shore lunches. This escapade will stay in my heart until the end of time. Thank you, Canada. I can't wait to see you again.
