I suffer from Fibromyalgia and I get into pits of depression, whenever I listen to the Gaithers and they lift me out of it. Can hardly wait to spend eternity with them and with the one who died for us all, come quickly Lord Jesus, this world is a mess.
I am never tired of listening to this elevating song. The whole plan of salvation is summarized in the chorus. Thank you my Jesus for purchasing , sealing my pardon, and making me free.
Amen, praise God! Today is Memorial Day 2020 and we celebrate the US Military preserving our freedom in this great country, and Jesus paid the debt that sets our soul free from the penalty of sin. Loved this song since childhood and this is a wonderful rendition.

I love the Gathers and all those who sing together, how I long to be among them, but I'm Durban SA, and recently lost my husband, to the dreaded Altzimers, I'm 78yrs now, and dreadfully sad after 57yrs married all alone so to keep me company I listen to the Gathers, it keeps.my mind on JESUS, Bless you all Colleen 🙏🙏🙈🙈
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 Those who are living (in Christ) will not precede the dead (in Christ) into heaven. When you die, you are asleep, as Jesus said more than once. Nowhere does the Bible teach us that the dead immediately ascend to heaven. They await Jesus's second coming and as the Word says, will rise first. And those of us who are alive and living in Christ, will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.
I can't wait till we are all in His presence echoing praises together through out the heavens .....! What a wonderful way to sing along and practice for eternity with the Gaithers and all .....I love this song...takes me back to my childhood in Papaw's church ( my grandfather )
U can be in God's presence this day. Read Bible one chapter a day. Go to church that honours Jesus Christ. Talk to Jesus n follow. Soon u will find peace n God talking to u as we give our self rule to Jesus Christ. N let him take our lives. .

We can be with Him continually, mentally, physically. Earth is corrupted and evil. The evil colors every thing. Yes God is with all Christians but it will be SO MUCH MORE in Heaven.

We saved by Christians respect & treasure these inspirational hymns, versus the egotistical performers on stages (platforms) of today’s churches who are disrespectful frauds of self-promotion vs. worship.
The tenor that stands out here, as good as the others are, is Larry Ford. Any day. He is a true tenor, singing from his diaphragm, and as such the clarity and notes he hits are truly crystal clear. I class him with the likes of the three tenors, Pavarotti or whoever else you may name. Not screaming from the throat like another tenor glorified in Christian circles. Just my opinion.

I wonder if anybody posting here has any idea of how this hymn came to be composed? It was out of one of the most fiery tragic trains wrecks in American history that the words survived within the unburned luggage of one of the victims having only been partially set to music by the time of the accident. I sometimes cry myself to sleep thinking how such a beautiful piece of music had it's origins. I recently worked out a guitar chord arrangement for this song that I frequently sing & strum to myself when I am in a down mood. I'm almost always in tears when I finish, or sometimes I can't even finish because I get so choked up by the words that are encompassed inside the unique melody of this song & the embellishments that can be added to give this music its' unique qualities...........I often feel it is music that came directly from heaven.

LARNELLE IS in a class of his own with perfect voice control; I am sorry but he sings wonderfully tenor and excellently dressed. It is nearly impossible to get opera quality singers like him.
I really think the three singers didn't intend it to be a competition where people could compare as to who had superior quality of voice. I believe they were just bursting with the message of the song - joy that salvation had ben given and that they did their best to see how they could get that message out in the most persuasive way. Ford no doubt - a classic tenor - Penrod - country flavor with an incredible vocal range - Harris - beautiful voice that blended well with the different styles of the other two and made it melt beautifully together to one complete musical picture.

Don't feel bad; the angels supposedly can't sing either; they SHOUT, and they give GlORY to God. Also, the Bible says " He ( GOD ) will PERFECT that which concerneth me " so I'm confident and convinced your singing ability will be enhanced when in heaven. So when we're in heaven look me up and I'll listen to you SING!!!
