I will sing of my Redeemer was written by Philip Paul Bliss. Though he had less formal education, yet still the Lord used him mightily with the keys and his voice. He died along with his wife in an unfortunate accident, but the trunk which he had taken during the travel had survived by God's Grace for a purpose. In it was found the lyrics of the song I will sing of my Redeemer, later on for which James McGranahan had composed the melody. Though Bliss died at an early age of 38, his songs have lived for more than Hundreds of years and still winning souls for Christ.
