Apple has just run its event, unveiling new iPhones, Watches, and AirPods. However, Apple has focused on one particular thing in the last couple of years that I wish Android makers would get on board with and make their own version of.
All these upgrades, and about 90 percent of the population using iphone are just watching tiktoks and reels for hours on end. Most people don't even know what the dynamic island is.
That you put all kinds of things for the hardcore guys to game, make homemade films content on RU-vid, transfer speeds that zoom past the competitors, and the majority of all them don't use most of what the phones for. They just use it for the basics and only use it cause it's an iPhone.
@@mikeyy_hfor the past 2 Pixel generations they've been making it seem like video is a big priority and they are making huge leaps. So I think it only makes sense now to enable the customers to do more with their videos.
@@jevonsims900 they are improving it. but just in the area which most ''normal'' users would shoot video. they have improved details, dynamic range, stabilization, hdr, etc and also offer video boost feature, which improves the quality quite drastically. they just need to adapt some pro features as well, like what apple does.
Man, you're not crazy! I really felt the same watching the event. Funny thing is that it's not generally like that, I'm used to watch it and I never felt them so artificial, that was odd.
Only people who want gaming phones are people who can't afford a gaming PC. The only problem is gaming phones cost as much as Flagships which cost as much as a midrange gaming PC+cheap smartphone.
The OpenAI press conference was pretty fuckin weird too. Acting like their stilted fake conversations with a fake person were emotionally stimulating. Creeped me out
The sony pro camera is more practical with the camera button. You don't have to slide around for controls. it's cool on ios but less practical. It works perfect on the iPhone only is all your settings are dailed in and you don't have to slide around to set things
Ummm... just a little curious about this, doesn't the pro video mode of the android phones (like Samsung) take away the smartphoney-ness of the camera? I know we don't get the videos in any editing friendly file format, but aren't the colors better?
Even I hated what Apple did this year, it ws so boring n seemed they were trying too hard to sell their products. But you as a creator shouldn’t get carried away by this, you should’ve known that there’s a four hour battery improvement(video playback), but instead you said there is no battery improvement.. I’m not saying u r biased, but when you r criticising left and right, if you don’t get get your facts right, then it will seem biased, so please get the facts right..
"tbh I am not sure if there are any thermals issues", bro iPhone 15 Pro Max used normally has massive thermal issues. They are constantly overheating, draining battery, causing high charge cycle count, dropping battery health to below 90% over few months time. They better fix that crap. If you daily 15 you would know that.
Using my 15 Pro from January . 0 overheating issues , 0 draining battery (even last public beta of ios 18 got 7 hours SOT with 30% battery left full day on mobile data ) , 99% battery health .
@@houseismorethanjustmUsing my iPhone 15 Pro Max from September of last year: “Charging on hold due to iPhone temperature,” barely able to get through the day, battery cycle count: 322, maximum capacity: 89, random screen dimming, etc.
My 15 PM constantly overheats, lots of glitchy apps, RU-vid being the worst. Screen often becomes unresponsive. Cell signal awful, and many of my friends and colleagues have the same connectivity issues
I kind of agree, when I had a Sony phone (9years? ago) I wished the shutter button was also a touch sensor, touching it to focus then sliding to take the photo, felt I had to put too much pressure on it when shooting with one hand.
@@itsAlzatron you grab the DSLR fully while you hold the iphone slightly so that your hand doesn't touch the screen. You can't grab the phone like a camera to make it stable lol
Guys! Grab a Chair, some books, find a table, grab an Xbox controller and play WARZONE mobile. (I’m on iPhone 14 Pro Max) And tell me you don’t wish BATTLEFIELD (like 3,4 or 2042) WAS ON OUR PHONES.
A valid point given the price creep from flagship Android phones year by year. Android (especially Pixel and Galaxy) needs to be competitive in the video space too if they want to take away the creative and content creator crowd from Apple. Granted that not everyone will use it (just like the Apple crowd themselves) but it's a nice parity feature to have for those who want it.
Have you tried ProShot for video on your OnePlus 12? Options for Auto, Flat, Log. Allows adjustment of bitrate (upto 175Mbs at least on Moto Edge 30 Ultra)
Only thing im looking foward to from the iPhone 16pro Max is the even better battery life! , the new camera button looks interesting, Ive always wanted a super quick way to launch the camera app
It’s handy no doubt , but there are other ways to launch your camera , I have the double tap the back feature enabled on my 12 pro max, it’s pretty fast. Or from switched off if you have lift to wake enabled and swipe right to left you get a pretty quick camera activation. But the extra function of the button should be handy.
Some Android users will comment how "ANDROID DID THIS FIRST". While this is true in many cases for Apple, the difference is when apple adds a niche feature they support it with proper software and keep it around for several generations. Sure Sony had a camera button but their software support for lack of a better word, trash. Sure Samsung and LG back then did so many innovations and gimmicks however they would either can it a generation later or have little software support for it after release. That's why when Apple adds a "new" feature or gimmick it works well. They wait til they can release it properly and support it rather than as a trial or beta like Google, Samsung, LG, and Sony. Now will the majority of apple users care about these new updates not really. But unlike many android manufacturers Apple won't get rid of it in the 17, 18, or the 19. It's gonna stay on the iPhone for a the time being and the software features for it will continue to grow because they have a track record to support it. Just to add some old android features I miss from Samsung definitely was the health sensors they had on the S8 and S9 series. Wish they kept it because they lean hard on the health capabilities of their watches and apps. Is the sensor the most important gimmick, no but Samsung has the ability to keep it around as a feature and support it.
I don't really play games on my phone that often, i only play like geometry dash, subway surfers and sonic the hedgehog lol, i used to play some clash of clans and clash royale too
I couldn’t stop thinking about how each presenter was speaking while watching, it’s definitely distracting. I’m assuming they’re probably trained to present like that but it comes off very corporate and unnatural. Overall, I like the addition of the camera control and colors for the 16 but hate the features that are AI related aren’t even ready for the product launch.
Anyone who spends their hard earned money on a new iPhone knows exactly what they’re getting bro , none of the loyalists believe they’re getting anything more amazing than last year. It’s just a flex for them to say they have the latest and greatest , that’s all
I don't understand why people have problems with names when they're good. Apple Intelligence is actual quite good in my opinion so I'm not sure why it's so hard for tech RU-vidrs to use it without complaining.
I'm an Apple fan, but I was bored with this latest product debut. As you state, there's nothing new here, or at least nothing that's exciting. I buy smartphones based on camera specs, so I'd love to be able to switch to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but they don't have a presence here in Canada, so I'll keep my iPhone 13 Pro for another couple of years...unless the OnePlus 13 delivers a surprise!
RU-vidrs caring about videos... Who could have told!? I know it's difficult to not focus on your gear bias, but would it be possible to at least have a more equilibrated coverage of topics?
@@brent3522 sorry you didn't get the point. A smartphone is not a camera. If the camera department takes so much room in the reviewers head that it becomes the only thing they talk about, better not listen to reviewers anymore.
@@BriefNerdOriginal cameras are one of the biggest differentiators between smartphones, and is a thing that plenty of common folk care very much about. Even the companies themselves make the cameras a big deal. Why do you think Apple bothered with LOG and the new button, or Samsung with 100x zoom and 200mp? So yeah, reviewers are going to talk about it.
@@brent3522 and then what? Yes. You're right of course. But just because they're important doesn't make them the only conversation point. In this and way too many other reviews, the sensibility of reviewers (that use cameras for a living and probably for passion) doesn't leave room to other differentiators.
