I like that Six String Country always says who the songwriter(s) is before they start a given lesson. Does anyone out there in Comment Land know if songwriters today actually make any money. It seems to me that all music is free. Ex: Someone says they're coming out with a new song/album on such and such day. Well, on that day a person can simply go on You Tube and listen to it for "free." How in the heck can a songwriter make any money that way?? Anyone?? Thanks!!
They still make money off of advertisements on RU-vid. Songwriters in the modern world are more recognized and more appreciated than they have ever been.
