I finally went on a ride where flat pedals would have been better. I have NEVER second-guessed my decision to ride with clipless pedals, but this ride finally made me think about it. I never have a problem getting out of the pedals, but getting BACK IN was really rough on these trails and kept me from being able to string together features.
No way I ever switch to flats, but it’s nice to actually see they have a purpose!

My grandfather became a mormon after being catholic/agnostic most of his life, when he passed away we gave him a mormon funeral as it was his wish, the funeral was so beautiful and comforting, it made us feel a little less sad knowing that he was a part of that community and they loved him as much as we his family loved him, they talked about the times they spent time with him helping our town

My ancestors helped settle Grafton. Two where killed in an attack by local natives during the "Indian Wars". They are buried there in the tiny Grafton cemetery. Cool side note, they filmed the scene from Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid where they are riding around on the bicycle right there! You were basically at the scene of one of the most iconic biking moments in history!

I am not a Mormon. I live in Arizona. My experience has been very similar to yours. I also do not drink alcohol, and because of that many people in Arizona think I am Mormon. I have not ever been and probably never will be, but I appreciate the community mindedness and the Goodwill that I see Mormon people extend every day.

50mtb Northwest Arkansas is really developing a lot of new trail systems and drawing a lot of attention to mountain bikers from all over. I understand the Walmart Foundation is contributing in a big way financially to make that area into a new mountain biking meca. It helps that one of Sam Walton’s grandsons is an avid cyclist and was instrumental in providing funds to build trails. They don’t have the mountains like you do in Colorado but they do a lot with what is there. I sound like a salesman but I’m just glad to see cycling getting more attention these days.

@@jkamer2168 yeah I, too, thought "white? Not gay?" Mormons are typically good people who try to be good people. But like anybody who bases their ethics not upon real life, but a faith of somebody else's word, some discrepancies are bound to solidify. As far as the LDS goes, their religion *should* be one that is dynamic and flexible, following on how it was founded, causing it perpetual conflict and renewal of ethics over the years. But, like a lot of tradition, holding onto what you know is a lot easier than change and acceptance of "new", "other", and "different". And like any other people or religion, they're cool "with you" as long as your world view (see: life experiences) is close enough to theirs. Once disagreement on judgement begins though, the feeling of not fitting in and tribalism and shame begins. Humans are fickle creatures, and none of us are immune to this type of thinking. Try not to create an "us vs them" mindset, and maybe humans will cultivate real social progress. Until then, we all just gotta keep moving forwards, sometimes on our own.

The problem is pedophilia, welfare fraud, throwing the young men out with no life skills and Joe Smith telling his followers they have to have at least 3 wives so they get their on planet when they die.

Looking forward to your future videos. Must as well add Brian that either my judgement is blurry or did your cycle technique improves a lot these days xD ? Congrats on that!! For your blanket situation, I would suggest a smaller timeable heating pillow. The main part of your body you need to heat up is your body core. Get one in the size of your back and that should be perfectly fine. There are some with safety timer, to not cause a burning or fire problem. Made some pretty comfortable experiences while camping in winter in Scandinavia with that. Additionally you would have a smaller drain on your batteries as well as much less dry air in the van. See you soon, Boris.

Wow!! Great ride, It looked awesome and very trying in places. I do not think i would be up to that caliber of riding. Not enough skill, not in good enough condition. But it sure looked like it was a lot of fun. Brian be safe and careful!

Bri didn't have to tell the morning temp. You looked cold but very presentable for a man that is freezing cold while vlogging great content !!!!

I like the bit of tour guide you’ve added to your vids. You’re like the Rick Steves of mountain biking now!

The flats vs clips debate can be a touchy one. Personally, I'll ride either depending on my mood. Over the past 6 months or so I've been more on flats since I've been trying to improve my jumping and I find I can control the bike better when riding flats.

I have lived in Utah my entire life 38 years now. It has everything the other states have except for notion that we make up for in lakes and I really respect what you said about the church even though I don't go
