I’d like to add one thing, and judging from the video you probably didn’t know it, to “absorb” multiple hits magic, simply tap O continuously, like a newbie would do with L1 in Sekiro, it works exceptionally well against master donberry.
@iiisixstringiii8285 even if most people would think so, I am sure they are wrong. What are those „many“ soulslike elements? Can you play different builds with a vast variety of weapons? Can you grind for level up’s and upgrade materials to make things easier? Do you lose your souls when you on your way back where you died last? Do you have to manage your stamina in combat? It’s not called a souls game because it is made by fromsoftware. Sekiro has some elements in common but compared to the dark souls series, demon souls, bloodborne and Elden ring it differs much. Would you call armored core a souls game?
I’m late to the party with these kind of games but FF1 is one of my all time favorites. Could you imagine the praise this game would have received if it had been released in 2011? I’m loving every second of it!
One time saver, when dismantling gear you can open the menu and select all items then dismantle all, just make sure you have any gear you dont want to dismantle wxcluded or placed in your storage
I saw the reviews of this game and was a bit apprehensive to start the game when I received it for my birthday. I got to say, as a Final Fantasy fan, I'm all in. This story and the lore that comes with is makes for a great time and I love the elements they included from other games to make Cornelia and World 1! I'm not a Souls player so I'm grateful for this guide! Overall, I'm having fun. Definitely a nice way to end a long day.
I started FFXVI right before I started this game. The first thing I did was change the controls map so it was similar to the default button layout on FFXVI, which is way more intuitive. That helped a TON with getting my bearings.
I'm already on the floating fortress and I have never used smithy once... I also have been discarding hundreds of weapons to make space for ones with abilities... I hate myself now lol
Game is a lot of fun and very satirical. A lot of things flew over most reviewers head in my opinion. Best job system since Tactics, XII the zodiac age and XIV off course.
I love FFXIV job systems but I want to see modified version of it for a new S.P.O. FF like FFXVII or XVIII Keep the jobs and mechanics but eliminate the ”roles“ I iust realized SPO FF is oddly close to SoP:FF0 Which is honestly the closest we may get to a copy of FFXIVs system for a while.
@@sanguinetales Roles aren't bad when there are more than just 3 of them, and when they aren't arbitrarily set to the jobs. FFXI has Red Mage, but Red Mages on XI can fill the role of melee or magic dps, healer, buffer, enfeebler, or even tank. I've watched Ninja's tank better than paladins and also watched them do more damage than a warrior depending on the enemies. Sadly FFXIV is just following the World of Warcraft formula with set roles.
@@spacedandy6924 I didn't say anything about the roles being bad i just think if they reuse the FFXIV system for a single player game(letting the team access different jobs kind of like Stranger of Paradise) the roles would be removed because its a single player game and that kind of stuff works better in an MMO
@@sanguinetales you're fine. Those single player games have roles in them too, they just aren't forced on the jobs. Roles just need to be subtle; and jobs need to be able to assume various roles.
Glad that i'm just rounding up my Final Build in Elden Ring , altho i'm a Completionist/Platinum runner specialy on Release and Launch... I still got many things to do in Elden Ring and Finish up the Game eventually with all the Questlines and Challenges. But i loved Nioh & Nioh 2's cool gameplay/mechanics and the usual Grinding. In terms of Grinding and specializing in several Jobs i'll get this Game soon afterwards.... Gameplay-wise it looks really Fun with how much Depth the Job and Build Systems can go in this mainly just like Nioh ofc. I'd also like to try Forbidden West aswell. ( I'm gonna probably pick Forbidden West due to it being a more Open World and Story-driven Game with alot of Exploration and Challenges ). While this Game looks Fun but also needs the Grind & Farming much like Elden Ring is initially for Leveling up 😅🔥 I'll give it a shot for sure , the Demo was ok aswell hopefully this game launches with different Variaty of Regions , Areas , Bosses , Weapons/Gear and Enemy Variaty too.
Mages are the most broken thing. You are meele, have a combo cancel parry with i frames, quick attacks and combo skills and can totally decemate on range. Its stupidly easy and effective and brigs my whitemage heart to happy places while clubbing enemies to death as effective as a pure dmg class with element combos.
I liked the guide it was a little boring though. What are the max levels for job? I saw in a video someone had like levele 300 on the right side of the screen. Seems like there is a ton of content in the game. I am trying to decide on getting this or neir replicant atm 🤔
Max level is 30 in main game.. then post games comes with Diablo 3 rifts and class level go up to 300 in end game.. crap ton to do after you beat the story
Combat in this game is so fun, team ninja know what they are doing for sure. If only mainline ff games had as good combat. Im saying this as a ff fan, imo the new more action oriented combat in newer ff games does no favors to the games. ff12 ,in hindsight, found a pretty good sweetspot and should be done more. ff15 in my experience boiled down to overly hectic battle where you just repeat endlessly one move... I want turn based ff combat back. Stranger of the paradise is damn amazing game!
Not sure if it’s in another video but how does the multiplayer work? Do you still have your 3 man party or do you sacrifice one for a online player or do you sacrifice all 3 for one online player with the option to summon more?
I enjoyed the demo. It's not a $60 game tho imo. The graphics are very xbox360 era. I'll probably pick it up one day on a sale or something. Should've been 39.99. Also it irks me that there are 4 heroes of light but you have a 3 man party having to swap one out at all times. There's tons of loot tho, if that's your thing. And being able to unlock and swap between every class on your main character is really cool. A solid 8/10
@@Daftanemone I seen some games on the ps3/360 that looks better than this even the level design is very made by 2010,the characters models facial animations even the cutscenes looks like a ps3/360 game Nioh on the ps4 looks better than this Babylon’s Fall looks worst and looks more like a ps3 game. But this graphics isn’t something to brag about especially this is also on the ps5
I mean yeah it has so much replayability from the combat alone and the builds you could do but sure the graphics are the reason it's not worth $60. Guess that's our generation now.
@@BlueLightningSky Our generation needs demand better than accept something like this or babylon’s fall that just look like it was made in a potato hardware. Why this type of graphics still exist in a triple A space especially you got games like Horizon Forbidden West and Elder Ring that looks so much better than this? And you can do different builds and replayability in Elder Ring. Why would someone wants to buy this game full price if you have something like Elder Ring that looks like a better games compared to this?
I don't remember any awful cutscenes, but yeah, the in game graphics are butt. Typical for jrpgs for some reason. The days of square enix leading the pack in graphics are long gone
@@PunkRockZombie205 by awful cutscenes i meant them being really pixelated/grainy and frames dropping, sometimes lip syncing was way off which resulted in me cancelling pre order
Apparently it looks better on PC, not sure how much though. I have also heard people have turned off HDR on tv/monitor which helps. Don't think it's gonna look that much better tho unfortunately
@@SindanezDuskwind i think hes trying to say the pre order early access is across all consoles not just playstation but the way he wrote it was dreadful
This game would honestly better if they just straight up cut all cutscenes and dialogue, just having your character making grunting noises periodically would be better storytelling. At least the gameplay and levelling can kinda carry the rest of the game.
Definitely a skill issue on my part, but why would anyone want to play Elden Ring, or any other Soulslike games? That's my question. (BTW like what you want to like, just a fun little rhetorical question since you asked one)
