That's both a hilarious anecdote and a very apt metaphor for the collateral damage that so frequently follows the clumsy use of religion as a tool to bludgeon others into submission, coercing them into doing as you say instead of trusting them to find their own way. Ctfc Cc I dont exactly think thats healthy but hey its your life. Im fifteen and I honestly am the same but people always ask me if Im okay because i seem unapproachable and ask if im angry but only cause im a female and apparently am not supposed to act that way. I see guys around me the same but no one questions them. Ik its weird im telling you its unhealthy even though i do it but im working on it, you can still have goals and show emotions, showing emotions doesnt mean sobbing all the time or anything but it doesnt feel good at all to be all bottled up. Because now when i show emotions its either 0% or 100% (the rare times i do show it) and theres no in between. But thats just me assuming your in a depressive situation as bad as i am which i hope you arent.

I used to be straight and thought it would be cool to be part of the LGBT community, but I felt more attracted to guys than girls. Now skipping to when I met this amazing girl, we talked and talked and just became overall great friends. Soon before she had asked me out, I realized that I did have feelings for her. You would be better off, generally, dating your own gender because most guys are a like, most females are alike. Stereotypes arent based off of false information. They are based off of the majority of a group. Females are TYPICALLY into the same things as other females are. Males are typically into the same things as other males. Males are not typically into female things, and if they are, they are TYPICALLY gay. Females arent usually into male things and if they are well... they are either gay, or super rare. Now i said TYPICALLY so much because i dont mean to say that everyone is like this, and i know how people love to not read certain words to put words in other peoples mouths.

As a woman, dating women is extremely difficult. You've got no idea if the girl you like is gay, or if they're even interested in you, so you just stare at them for months before you even talk to them or get the courage to ask and it's usually a no. Georgia is one of the most "southern" states in the country. How do you get to say a particular city gets magically exempted from that? It's very hard to even find another wlw because you can't be too public about your sexuality and if you do find one, it's a 70% chance she's already in a relationship with one of the 5 other publicly gay people in your area. And don't even get me started on chemistry. If you have a very limited pool, it's much harder to find a good partner. If you think switching team would make everything easier, you're in for a big surprise

Actually there are for teens and straight children called Youth Homes and they are mostly religious and closed to the lgbt community, there are barely any gay safe homes. Also its not really about not having a place to sleep but the fact that your own parents couldn't have you around because of your sexuality. also in your reply did you forget the part about VIOLENCE AND ABUSE, and how it is legal to try to change someones sexuality or "cure" them in "the land of the free"

Gays are also constantly judged and isolated by conservatives and they’re always trying to say either they’re abominations or trying to take away their marriage rights. To try to ignore this is just a failure to confront the fact gays have it harder than you.

Well typically when they ask "Who's the man?" they are asking who is the more masculine one and who is the more feminine one. More commonly asked towards gay male couples with something along the lines of "Who's the pitcher and who's the catcher? Or do you guys switch off?" Since being gay isn't the "norm," people are intrigued by it because it's different. They want to know more about it, which is why they ask such offensive things. Don't think it's because they're bad people, think of it as they want to understand more about how same-sex relationships work.

It depends on where in the south you go. In Texas, big cities like Austin and Houston are generally a safe bet. There’s a chance you’ll get harassed in smaller towns though.

Even in little towns here in Alabama, there are lots of openly gay people and they're all generally accepted by the public. Their family may be a different story. But no one is getting harassed on the street for being gay.

Weird Person that's a lie. I see reports of these things happening and people get in alot of trouble for it. Infact now if people publicly speak against you they can loose their jobs and will get attacked. Also I checked the facts and most states support lgbt realtionships. This is another problem with the lgbt you guys constantly lie to try and keep being the victim. You are getting more and more support yet still keep using the same lines to say why your victims. You say you aren't privillaged? Then explain this. Why is it that adding lgbt to anything is seen as more special? If I said I'm raising money for orphans I get cheers. However if I say I'm raising money for gay orphans I get praised and put all over the media. If I say "this my girlfriend" people are like okay. But if I say "this is my boyfriend" people suddenly get extra friendly and call me brave. Is that not privillage?

there's a difference between "making things easier" and "being a walk in the park". Of course we're all human and a relationship is a relationship, but there are DEFINITELY advantages in same sex partners. and those "gender-specific traits" you are talking about are not just traits, but rather "basic mindsets". and having someone with a very similar mindset isn't just a little trait. of course relationships aren't determined by how easy you can have it. you WILL meet people who do not fit this description. But we are talking about the average mindset.

Sardonicus just because the extreme to one side is very wrong doesn't mean that the extreme to the other side is very true. also, i talked about the "base" if you could call it that. the mayority of boys will like rougher things and the mayority of girls likes to play family and caregiver. no-one turns female if he'd wake up with a vagina one morning. the way of thinking can be affected by the gender your brain "works on" no boy HAS to choose all the boy stuff but they are much more likely.

Once with my friends (moustly boys, but also some girls) someone sayd “raise your hand if your gay!” And ihakf rased it. When they asked me, half laughing if I was gay, I answered ‘I haven’t fallen in love, how am I supposed to know if I’m gay or not?’ I got bullied the next 2 weeks, but I’m always being bullied to ñew

Okay but you'd be surprised on how dating is the same way whether you're dating a man, a woman or other. I'm bisexual and I've dated both. Currently dating a guy. Lemme tell you. It isn't easy with women OR men. Of course, I haven't dated everyone and everyone is different but hey... "Easy" is subjective.
