The mesh cut-outs on the side of the last dress keep your arms from getting irritated by the beaded fabric. It’s a brilliant little addition-I’ve had totally beaded squinned and beaded stage costumes, and they will rip up your under arms after a while!

I worked at a bridal salon in my youth and here are a couple things I learned. 1. The price is not always on the dress- pricing can fluctuate and so can sales (the owner bumped up the prices and then held a “sale”) so the number tags are used for looking up the pricing. Chances are high that the last dress is not priced at 8k. 2. OTR (off the rack) is for when a dress gets discontinued (either by the designer or the shop) and you can only purchase the sample. 3. Veils are overpriced, but they are a pain to make. 4. Corset backs are laced too down and the tails are tucked in at the bottom. 5. Cutting out the designer label is one way to keep brides from trying on a dress and then going online to try and get a better deal.

That first dress looks so perfect on you! You should keep it for a vow renewal - or a wedding-themed Cheesecake Factory date :)

The last allure dress was the dress I wore for my wedding!! The buttons all down the back is what sold it for me & I wore it with a cathedral veil… definitely didn’t pay $40 dollars for it though 😂😂😂

Birdcage veils are ridiculously expensive. I made my own for my wedding with really high quality French netting and a jeweled comb and Swarovski crystals for like $28 total. Seriously anything “bridal” is heinously overpriced. It’s pretty disgusting

I ended up finding my wedding dress a week before my wedding in a random resale shop. It was brand new with the tags $2200 and I paid $225 for it and it luckily it was a perfect fit because I had no time for alterations lol!

I’m hoping to be lucky enough to grab one of those dresses when they go live! I wasn’t able to afford a wedding dress (or a real wedding) when I got married decades ago and always wanted to see how it felt to have one on! Like an experience. Lol I never dated in high school either so never went to prom or homecoming or anything 😂 I would love to have a fancy dress on at least once in my lifetime, sheesh! A girls gotta dream, you know 😂

That last dress is stunning! I love "classic with a twist". It's understated, which creates the elegance, but still has the subtle pop (sequence design) needed to make it stand out.

I'm an avid thrifter/reseller. I have found so many expensive wedding gowns for between 30 and $50. I have one I just found that is this huge heavy a-- ballgown dress with beading all over and a cathedral train. I tried it on for fun and OMG, I just could not imagine having to heft that thing around even for pictures, but it is gorgeous.

When I was on maternity leave after I had my first baby all these bridal shows were on TV during the day. The allure bridal mermaid dress was on repeat on all those shows! I felt like half of America got married in that dress

That last dress - OMG! And your hair - love it so much. I might have to convince the other half to get hitched to wear as am so taken by a few of the dresses you got in this haul. Personally, I've never seen the appeal of paying thousands for a dress worn one day (or a big ott wedding) and for the cost of the dress, I'd never want to do a "ruin the dress" photoshoot either. My bridal dress was used to make an adorable christening dress for my wee babe. (I know, not everyone is Catholic or Christian, but there are other selfless reasons to donate one wouldn’t imagine. My mother in law was a wedding dress seamstress, architectural engineer AND had a BA in Home Economics. The lil dress for my babe was stunning. She used the appliqués and even made tiny soft ballet slipper booties, a tiny headband , rumba pants, and a gorgeous blanket. It’s now a family heirloom. THIS is something others might consider donating their wedding dresses to. One would have to research locally. My mother in law sewed equally as lovely tiny dresses to be given to the parents that suffered the tragic loss still born or babies that passed shortly after birth. They were not only beautiful gifts, but were one less thing mama needed to worry about while mourning her loss. The wee angels looked every bit like tiny angels sleeping in soft hues of cream , champagne, blush or white donated silk dresses created from lovingly donated wedding gowns. Of course tiny little accessories were sewn for each angel as well and naturally a soft velour blanket w the matching trim. Parents often chose to have their little angels photographed in them as well, creating a beautifully cherished memory. It’s truly a selfless donation.

I had a moment where I cried because I thought of my wedding dress. Then the last one came up and it looked exactly like the one I ALMOST said yes to lol the way it moved the side arm parts and the sparkle screamed the other dress. It was around 700 because the one I choose was 100 more. Probably not the exact dress but the same design basically. Shopping for dresses made me realize you can find a cheaper alternative of a design because it’s all the same I’m sorry about saying that. Bridal experts and the dress consultants say it as well.

Hi previous bridal consultant here . The “code” is for the store . Some stores will put that instead of the actual code for the dress or name so you can’t look it up and find it somewhere else or price shop. It’s something I totally hated while working in the bridal world . Also otr is off the rack meaning it can’t be ordered so you would have to buy the “sample” the store has .
