I'm so glad you finally bought something to drive home. I was just about to unsubscribe because I was kinda burnt out on seeing only walk arounds at copart. Sorry the mustang blew the transmission. I think it will be an awesome car once you get everything sorted out on it. Anyway please do more of these type of videos. We love seeing them even when they don't go well. Love you randy
My apologies. I’ve been dealing with my father who is in a coma, on a respirator, with failing kidneys. I’ll try harder to focus more on making videos.
2 things on removing the transmission. 1. To get the top bolt on the starter out you will need a couple of long extensions, a universal joint and feed it in under the A/c compressor over the motor mount and on top of the starter. It’s a bear and there is a chance if someone took out the starter before they left the top bolt out. 2. Once you remove the transmission crossmember, put a jack under the front of the oil pan and jack it up causing the trans to tilt down some. This will make it soo much easier to get the trans back in and not have the firewall interfere while sliding the input shaft thru the clutch disk and into the pilot bearing. Good luck and enjoy. PS. If you don’t have a transmission jack I use two young men to pick it up and slide it in or out.
@@brentkiely657 i won a 2006 nissan alitma with 169k miles. And then i won a 2007 ford five hundred with 130k miles. They not the fanciest cars but they run and drive great lol
I'm in the middle of an AOD to T5 swap on my 95. Good video to learn from, and always remember to make sure you install the right speedo gear and throwout bearing correctly 😅😅
I did a c4 to aod swap years ago on a fox body tbird. One speeding ticket later, I learned they didn’t use the same speedo gear. I also learned later that an aod doesn’t live long past 7 grand…
We enjoy seeing you work through and fix the problem and out the car back in the road. Throw out bearing can be replaced. Had it happen to me. Drove it 15 miles to my mechanic by power shifting without a clutch. Started in 1st gear, when up to speed put pressure on the shifter until it pops into 2nd, repeat for 3rd. Have to let off the gas pedal when power shifting to avoid grinding.
Cool. I’m stoked to watch the investigative video into the transmission and also the resolution video. I’ve always thought that body style looked good, hopefully it goes back together and works great!
Nice car ! Makes me glad I paid $4,000 for my 2004 Mustang GT Convertible with 5spd. Mine was well cared for with no leaks. Mine has 150k miles. I did have to replace the Rack and Pinion that was shot @$1,000. Mine is RedFire with black top and charcoal leather...
My 98 Mustang GT made that same noise a few years ago and I heard a clunk and I saw something shiny fly out from under the car and went into the ditch. I was able to drive it home. It turns out that the main drive pulley that turns the serpentine belt is a two-piece and the outer piece had separated. Yours, however, is more likely the clutch. Still, you got a good deal if it's only the transmission. I think those wheels may be Cobra-R's. Clean it up and get that rear fender fixed and you've got a car that is only going to appreciate in value.
Don’t worry about the ABS or Tracton Control once you get the terminals cleaned up. The trans is toast. Good luck 🍀 BTW you may have racing components for the transmission sounds expensive.
Hey Randy thrilled with the daily doubles. I can’t figure out why in the heck did you drive that Mustang home? Why didn’t you Use your trailer in the first place?
I'm sorry Randy but as soon as you said uh oh...and that loooooooong pause of the car struggling and THEN the cut out to you panting i busted out laughing because i knew EXACTLY what happened and what you had to do (same thing happened to me years ago with a 95 Civic EX). That was a good laugh. I hope you get that mustang fixed soon buddy!
Put a nice racing clutch Randy they are like $350ish range for a puck clutch for it. I think u should do nice clutch and a blower on this one with custom tune to have some fun for the channel as you usually take a loss on cars like this might as well have fun with it make it fast and with ad revenue you will make your money back plus more and people would pay more for car if it has blower and fast . It would be fun to see a build series too on this mustang
Oh yeah baby !!!! SN95 time !!!! the best looking model of these pony cars Randy this is the perfect opportunity of a car to mod and do even more , I'm sorry to the situation of the trans but remind yourself now its your call randy if its just the clutch and assembly or the trans needs rebuilt or you goin' to replace it with another manual or auto , now HEAR ME OUT PLEASE!!!! Randy if the trans with whatsoever or just your rebuilding this one better stick with this and upgrade the trans you know make it better more sturdy and enough groups out there to rebuild and upgrade your Transmission i'd love to go that route now also Randy with all this done to it you got to tune it Randy , it will help it run better and smoother and don't forget to service everything including the cooling system , intake manifold etc. This will be a car of profits by video and physically the car itself you ain't gonna lose on this one so you've got enough room to have fun with it . Lovin' the content , especially this was an excellent video , Stay safe TC , God bless !!
With the speedometer being way off like that, the vehicle more than likely has less miles than it says on the odometer. It was racking up miles just in that short drive before it broke.
Randy, heads up that you can probably code out that overdrive light. If the Autel won’t do it, I’m nearly certain you can change it in the PCM in A program called FORScan which is really cheap. Maybe $20 with the adapter and software on eBay or Amazon.
Yay!! Finally some wrenching work. I’ve been tuning in for a few months now and always enjoyed your walk arounds, purchasers and repairs/rebuilds. Keep up the good work Randy. Btw love the new house 🏠 dude 👍
Randy you should install a set of those bumper guards like the cops have on your RAM so Jessica can push you out of those stall out situations to a safer place. Pushing those cars manually like that you're gonna end up in the hospital.
When we first came to U.S. 2002 in Texas. My first job was at Braum’s in Forth Worth Texas and it’s crazy this company is still open after such a long time.
Wheres the stang at lol, not mad just curious, love the content man keep it up, I have three of those body styles and love them even though one has some bad front end damage, I'm hoping to fix it up and throw a 5.0 in it but not sure just yet..
It’s a good looking mustang and the wheels are really nice. It’s definitely been abused as most pony cars are. I would have loaded it on a trailer and brought it back to shop and fix it
I would keep this car once it’s all fixed, definitely a fun ride maybe a cheap replacement for the hellcat lmao. Would definitely love to see it stay on the channel, keep up the good content 👍🏻
Awesome Can't way to see. I'm doing the transmission in my truck kind of stalled due to I'm to busy but it's OK I don't want drive it in the upstate NY salt.
I love the videos man you do a great job at what you do I have been watching you off and on for a couple years you do a great job thanks for the content keep up the good work
What do you end up doing with these cars. I'm new to Chanel. Doesn't seem like you have more than 1 or 2 videos per car. Just curious. Like the Chanel.
Hey Randy, heard about your dad in a comment. Praying for him. Love the video and I know it sucks making this video while your dealing with that prayers
I love this car,i would love to have one of this on Portugal and give him some good love. Restore and go drive sometimes and give many love. What a nice ride.
The wheels are not just "R", it says "ROVOS" on the rim... "Rovos Wheels is a luxury wheel brand that offers staggered wheels for well appointed, upmarket automobiles from all over the world."
She needs some work but is going to be worth it... That is a nice vehicle and I bet she is fast. Glad to see some content, must admit I am getting burned on looking at hail damaged econo boxes and luxury cars, but I gotta give you props for putting content out everyday.
