I was unsuccessful on all my permits this year. Pending the special opportunity I put in for however, I’m 56 in line 😅 and they only allow 20 so I’m counting that as a loss also. As a new hunter I hope to see some summer scouting trips from you! I need all the advice and help I can get 😂

In ga unless it's the piedmont nwr primitive weapon hunt all state quota hunts don't draw til September 1st. Goodluck guys.

For those of us who I didn’t have social media coming up or maps to down load. Boots on the ground before your hunt read the sign and the prevailing winds. Get in there very early and as long as you can. Let everyone else push the animals to you.

@@DreamTeamTVPope Update: I got selected for 2 Quota Hunts (1 for gen. gun and 1 for archery) at my top choice WMA and I'm "in line" for a special opportunity fall hunt. This is my first phase 1 attempt, so I'm stoked. 😀

You’ll know tomorrow, though you can go on the site now and check your preference point status. If you had any points during this application, it will have reset them back to zero for the given category you applied for. If you were unsuccessful, it will have given you an additional point. This is one way to find out early if you at least were drawn in the category you applied for, but will find out for where tomorrow. Mine were reset back to zero for several categories, besides general gun, so I’m certainly ready to find out what I got!

@@tracychilds3546 Heck yeah!! Congratulations on all your permits! Especially the special-opportunity hunt. I put $150 worth of tickets in between 3 special-opportunity hunts, but still didn’t get it. Oh well, now I can plan different hunts that would’ve been during those dates, haha!

You forgot to mention that you should flag tape every possible trail or firebreak you intend to possibly hunt!..J/k, first guy there gets the spot.👍…… Any guess on when permits drop? I say Wednesday.

It’s definitely one of my pet peeves! I’ve seen many times where a trail has been taped for a certain hunt, and nobody shows up the entire hunt. I disregard all tape and always pick it up after the season or when scouting. Hopefully we find out something by Wednesday. Good luck to you, look forward to seeing your videos.👍

I never have to buy tape I'm always taking it down I've thought about going down a few hundred yards and make a difference trail for them and gradually back out to the road Hahaha oh I figure Tuesday late and finish out on Wednesday for the quota but definitely before the 23rd haha

Can’t figure out if a guest hunter can shoot an animal on the same day as the host and if you get a general gun hunt, is it automatically for deer? Will appreciate any information

In order to get the most accurate information on your question; lookup the WMA brochure for your particular area you’ll be hunting. Generally, a guest can shoot an animal the same day, but it will count toward the 2 deer per day (5 deer season total) limit. Some WMA’s have a 1 deer limit for a quota, so check all information on the brochure. A general gun quota is primarily for deer, but some WMA’s allow the take of other animals. Such as; hogs, turkeys and small game. Read your particular WMA brochure for most accurate information for the area. Thanks for watching!
