The floor ruling was correct, once significant action has taken place it’s too late to declare a misdeal. I know it sucks but it’s correct. Significant action means either 3 players acting without putting chips in the pot, or 2 players acting who put chips in the pot.
@@sillychinas for sure it’s a huge disadvantage. But it goes back to every player being responsible for protecting their own action. Definitely a bad mistake by the dealer, but one that happens most often in this exact scenario. Table goes on break, dealer forgets to move the button and is likely pushed out by another dealer.
I mean, that's definitely the correct ruling in a random cash game or something or because of something minor like a random MP player didn't get two cards, but almost every rule has a "best interest of the game" caveat and this is a horrific application of the rule. Significant action matters because you don't want guys like revealing cards or mucking cards to try to get a misdeal after other players have done things to gain an edge, but what possible edge can someone pointing out that the button hasn't moved be gaining? Especially if he hasn't even looked at his hand.
Had this argument with my housemate. He said "well what if BTN has AA and it folded to him". It doesn't matter. In a tournament, the hand should be re-dealt, as long as extra chips haven't gone into the middle (i.e no one has opened, including open limps). In the case where chips HAVE been put into the pot, I should be give the blind and ante back as an addition to the total chips in play. The hand as played, should not exist! And the argument "well you should be at the table" is ridiculous. It isn't my job to tell the dealer where the button is, and in a tournament that lasts 12 hours with ONLY 15 minute breaks, asking someone to be present at the table throughout EVERY single hand without fail is insane
@@Weazel1991 I get what you’re saying, I don’t love the situation you found yourself in. But it would require a rule change for it to be a different outcome.
Not sure if I mentioned in the video, the average stack was 10 big bets (I guess equivalent to maybe 20bb in NLH?) Very little play available, plus I guarantee the trophy when we chop 🏆
As far as i understand, you were down to 5 players, and you made a deal which ensured the trophy for you. I cant get from the vlog what happened at the table after that deal..
That's not out of line for you to be pissed off by their degenerate ruling & conclusion. I'd message their director and ask them to reevaluate exactly this action, where folds arent significant action enough to fuck you over
they have let laptop running sims infornt of bunch of cameras and people at the FT Main Event and you are ranting for a daily , i mean its sucks but ehh... gg
I'm ready to bet $1000 with any ACR streamer that I'll score the most points in GTO Wizard in a 4-table simulator with the maximum difficulty level and 7 seconds to think.
Really not loving that you used the “R” word as an insult. It’s pretty damaging to a lot of people. Would be great if you could cut that out or maybe apologize for it. I’m sure you don’t intend the impact it has on others and sometimes we just need to realize we can do better.
Oh fuck off dude haha he clearly doesnt actually hate disabled people and saying it to put those people down. If he was using it TO a disabled person to hurt them you'd have a point.
