sure she cheated and ran away with the intention to deceive them, but she came back to return the money and apologise. She also paid for her crimes by being imprisoned and away from both her husband and her son, voluntarily. I am never the one to support cheaters, but Soo-cheol's love for Da-hye completely floored me over.
Kindness can be so disarming. It's really a special moment. She expects nothing, and his selflessness leaves her distraught with shame and possibly relief.
Yeah I mostly feel bad for the kid, who's innocent, and it's so sweet that he still consider him his son, but she really doesn't deserve him after using him and his family, contributing to their downfall.
I'm happy she came to her senses and came back home, her past is complicated and she started off wrong but she had good character development. Idc. Before she left she was already wavering. I'm giving her grace.
I agree. Da-hye was an awful person, but in the end, she owned up to ALL of her mistakes, and she voluntarily spent time in prison to make things right. I believe that she deserves a second chance, and now that Soo-cheol has given it to her, I'm confident that she'll be a much better person from now on. That being said, I do think that Soo-cheol needs to be more assertive from now on. He needs to make it clear that if Da-hye ever does return to her sinister ways (scamming, scheming, and stealing), then he will divorce her and take full custody of her/their son.

I've seen people comment saying that every guy in this drama is weak and soft and simps. Like did we ALL simultaneously forget how one big marketing point when this show came out was how it "reversed gender roles"? Out of all relationships in this drama, the female characters are all more assertive and aggressive than the men. Dahye and Soocheol's relationship is also part of the reversed gender trope. Like how many times have we seen a female character in a k-drama forgive the scheming, lying, hot male character the INSTANT they show any hint of remorse? Almost ALL men in the drama have their motivations fueled by a woman, from woohyun to all of the males in their family to eunsung, the only exception is probably woohyun's lawyer friend. I'd say it's pretty much a reflection of how WOMEN characters in typical kdramas always revolve around the men.
They are married for three years she has a one year old son whose father is another man it means she slept with another man when they were married and this fool forgive her and you are justifying this. Hats off to you.

Unless they actually redeem her, I dont like what they are doing with Soo Cheol's storyline. She set up the bait that made the hog attack Hae-in, cheated on Soo Cheol and had a baby with a different man, made him believe the baby was his and made him raise and love that baby, stole MILLIONS from them. Honestly, this just makes Soo Cheol's character pathetic and spineless. I would have understand if Soo Cheol took the child in because he's innocent but her also? No. She just cant waltz back in because her baby daddy is a prick. LOVE, no matter how great it is, cant erase what she's done. Theres still 4 episodes left. Hopefully they do something to justify this storyline.

It's no problem when a female character cheats in a kdrama. She is always given a sympathy pass. Either they will show how she is a victim or how she did it all because of the circumstances. And afterwards just a bit of emotional talk and all is alright.

They are trying to normalise cheating. That's a problematic. She had an affair and a child. That's not okay. Obviously one can forgiven for cheating but it's not as easy as it's shown here.

That's the basic recipe of kdramas. Most kdrama viewers are female. So most of the kdrama are female catering. In every drama there is always a nice second male lead either a childhood friend or colleague who loves the fl. But you wouldn't see the same case for second fl. Most of them are annoying and arrogant. They are there just to make the fl seem great. And about cheating it's always the fault of male character, they execute the story in such a way that always the female character gets sympathy. In the drama" my wife is having an affair next week " you can see it very clearly how they handle it. The wife is shown to be a victim and the storyline gives her so much sympathy, but the another male character that cheats is shown as absolute trash. No backstory no sympathy , no emotional scenes.His whole life was destroyed. It clearly tells how much female appeasement is present in kdramas.
Kwak Dong yeon merece un papel protagónico donde lo valoren y sea feliz de principio a fin, ya no hagan sufrir mas por favor 😭. El siempre destaca incluso sin ser el protagonista. En distintos kdramas como vincenzo, esta bien no estar bien, amor bajo la luz de la luna y este mismo, tiene escenas tan icónicas y es increíble las emociones que transmite. Le creo cada palabra, cada acción, todo, es un execelente actor y siempre es un agrado ver kdramas dónde el es parte del elenco pero por favor denle un papel demasiado feliz que compense lo que sufrió en los otros u.u

He doesn't even know who she really is because she lied about her age, she's been pretending to be "sweet" and calm this whole time. He doesn't even know basic things like she's a smoker. @@FGest.07 If you have been watching the show you would have all of the context, his devastation at her disappearing with his son, her loneliness and second thoughts about how she betrayed him and whether it (the money) was worth hurting him so deeply, the backstory of her belief that stealing from others was the only way to feel successful and have revenge, her realization that she married a really good man, loves her child and then sees the possible horrible future for both her and the baby with the abusive ex-bf. She is genuinely sorry for what she did and comes to try and give back some of what she stole, as well as to secure safety for her son. She does not expect forgiveness or understand that hubby truly could love her, until he breaks through to tell her he will never give up on her. This show is full of hurt and broken people who stumble painfully through and try to heal their relationships. That is beautiful to me.
