"Abraham" Do you know the story of Abraham? How he shall kill Isaac his son. Do you know that? What did you feel when you read it? In me, everything has risen. And I thought, that can not be true. That is what a loving God has commanded -? Then I thought about the story. If there really is a God who is omnipotent, has all power, no one can be more powerful than God. This also applies to his words. No other word can outdo God's Word. Or God is not omnipotent. How can it then be that an angel appears in heaven, and prevents Abraham from doing so? Even an angel can not surpass God's Word. So there is only one logical explanation: Either God sent the angel, or he was that angel. But why does he want to surpass his own word? Because it was a test for Abraham. A conscience test. NO loving father kills his child. If he does, he is not a loving father. The test means: Listen to your deepest inner, heart and soul. Do not listen blindly to an order. For love follows no command. It follows itself. You can not read the Bible like the daily newspaper or a normal book. The Bible is a textbook. It is full of parables, metaphors and "hidden" keys. The most important key is so well hidden that nobody can find it. For everyone to see and put to the very beginning: "In the beginning was the word". This narrative about Abraham can also be applied to our present situation. Follow not blindly a command. Listen to your heart. What do you feel when someone asks you to kill someone else?
The heart is deceitful above ALL things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah:17:9-10
