I wore this Peggy Carter look because it was Dapper Day-and also because I really wanted to visit Avengers Campus in it! Thank you @TheGeekStrong for filming and your support!
That’s what I was about to say! Even the way he cocked his head while she was talking to him, that was just like how Chris Evans acts 🥹🤍 the walking and everything is spot on
His performance is the standard you shoul expect from any Disneyland performer. They be some of the most dedicated cosplayers out there. I hope their paycheck reflects that.
@@Anino_Makata unfortunately, as I understand it, Disney actually doesnt pay a whole lot more than minimum wage, because some people will jump at the opportunity to work at the Disney parks even if the pay isn't great.
@@TheAristote69 ….clearly. But this guy’s real, and he did a good job portraying how Steve would act and feel when Steve sees Peggy. Not everyone is an idiot, you know.
@@myrmidoni87 you were allowed to dress up as the characters, but as it could be dangerous for kids to go up to strangers who they thought were the employes in costumes, you aren't allowed to dress as a character, which resulted in the invention of Disney bounding. If there was an employee acting like Peggy, you wouldn't be able to dress up as her. Also her style is kind of normal compared to other characters
I'm sure he appreciated you asking first. So many people would just go up and touch their arms, it's so... blegh. Thank you for asking the actor first!! I'm sure you were his favorite park goer of the week :)
one time i wore a peggy carter cosplay to a con and there was this beautiful captain america cosplayer who spun and dipped me for a picture and i could NOT stop giggling it was the most romantic thing i'd ever experienced
I’ve seen a video of the Captain America actor at Disney, shielding a woman in her wheelchair from the sun with his shield, and that is the cutest thing I have ever seen, and this just made me think of that there’s a reason Disney is so strict with their actors
I once dressed as a 1930's gangster for a Halloween street party and ran into a guy who was dressed in a similar costume. Turns out his name was Clyde and didn't believe my name was Bonnie. We actually pulled out or DL's to confirm it and took a few pictures together because we thought it was the weirdest coincidence.
That was so cute!! I love that you also asked permission to get twirled for a video rather than just throwing yourself at him and recording it like some people do, this was so wholesome all around :)
And this ladies and gentlemen is the right way to approach a stranger to do these kind of things, ask them respectfully first instead of just going up and doing whatever you want without thinking of the other human being
I would be nervous too, Disney has no tolerance for adults who could be mistaken for cast members. I don’t think they have Peggy carter as a cast member so that might be why nobody said anything to you. But I’m glad it worked out! What a cute interaction 🥰
I think itd be hard because Peggy isnt really too distinct to be considered a costume. These are all pieces anyone could wear normally. I think shes more nervous since its a big muscle dude that she doesnt know 😅😂
Its because she wasnt in a "costume" as disney sees it. That outfit could be classed as a kind of DisneyBounding as its just a normal blouse and skirt, she just added bits to make it work for Peggy. If she took off her glasses or did her hair differently it wouldnt be peggy. Disney just dont let you wear cosplay type costumes (which i still think is ridic) I think you shud be allowed but you just have to wear a sash that says "guest"
@@paulwilliammonks1 Disney has a very good reason for not allowing adult guests to wear costumes. Child safety. There needs to be an obvious difference between employees and other parkgoers. A sash or nametag is not enough because it could easily be removed.
A pretty lady asks me to spin her? Fuck the job I'm taking her to dinner 🤣 But he was a very refined gentleman and it seems like a lotta fun to interact with the guests.
@@breezygrl10 The spin was probably them being nerds about how the whole time Cap is alive he just wants to go to that dance that he promised Peggy before the ice.
I appreciate that you asked to film before doing the whole song-and-dance routine. This guy did great, but sometimes you'll find people who are not sufficiently familiar with their character's lore, or are pretty new and not comfortable yet, etc. Also, that is a fantastic Penny costume. Well done, and great job having enough courage to try something like this in a major public setting.
Its so freaking cute. A lot of the time I bet it's really annoying to work as a cosplayer there, but sometimes it's gotta be nice when you can be sweet to people and make their day.
as great as that would be, there’s an etiquette to asking the workers at these places to do things for you and/or with you. with your example, it would be more pressuring and rude to the person in the Cap costume. The way the woman did it in the video was perfectly respectful.
Man I just want a old timey relationship where we don’t care about social media, dance in the middle of the living room, and it’s just you and me against the world😭
You can still have that. There's someone out there wishing for the same thing. I'll take a quiet, social media free relationship over having someone giving me a play by play of their Twitter feed any day. Or having old fashioned dinner parties like the 40s, 50s and 60s. The fashion of those times is also appealing to me. I used to go through my grandmother's old photo albums looking at all the fun times they had on the weekends or holidays and would be jealous because no one I knew did things like that anymore.
The dude that played Captain America is perfect, I literally thought it was Chris Evans for a second. If he has legit acting chops, Marvel should hire him to do a WW2 Captain America series.
When I was sixteen, captain america kissed my cheek (it was really chaste and polite, not intrusive or anything) and it made me just light up. Happiest I had ever been, that was the first time I had gotten that, and it got to be captain america?? I loved it as a teen.
What a clip! Two grown up getting to have just a moment of fantasy and light hearted fun. Love to see it. I know both of these people walked around feeling great the rest of the afternoon.
I wish women still dressed like this, so classy and beautiful. The red lips ans shoes, is why my mother always said, "your lipstick should always match your toes." It's a 50s thing.
