Nothing is more satisfying than seeing older traits slowly coming back to him. His protective side. His flirting. His SMILE. he's not the same. He will never be the same. But he seems like himself again.
He’s such a good man. I really wish someone would say to him that his torment over what he did under HYDRA control is proof that he’s a good man, because only a good man would be so horrified by the things he was forced to do.
@@hothotheat3000 He truly is such a good man. He's such a nice dude, so kind and protective of the people he loves. I hate that he's so hard on himself
@@hothotheat3000 Also remember how the serum works. It turns good to great and bad to worse. Zemo then says the desire to become a super soldier comes from supremacist ideology and will only make you more and more evil. We see this with everyone except for Cap, Isaiah, Bucky, and Walker. Cap took it so he can help people. So he can fight in the war since he had no other option. Isaiah was given the serum without knowing it. Bucky was experimented on while captured. Walker only took the serum after his best friend died right in front of him. He was an emotional mess when he took it, and only after he redeemed himself did he become an anti hero. But everyone else gets worse and worse
Or, people are nice in the town - meaning are nice only within town limits. Once they get out (or are far enough at sea), dismembering someone is socially acceptable
I'm never getting over him being invited to the cookout Start of the series he had no family By the end, Uncle Bucky comes by with some cake. Lets the kids use his left arm as a pull up bar mid convo... Bucky got a family now... and it's gettin me in tears
I know right! Like his therapist at the beginning is highlighting how he has no friends and no family and at the end he is surrounded by both! It makes me so happy ☺️☺️ he had such a rough life he really deserves this win
Sam: Don’t *FLIRT* with my sister. Bucky: No. *flirts with Sarah twice* *shows off his bionic arm and has kids hanging from it in front of Sarah* And who said that Bucky’s only talent was staring? 😂🤣
I swear to fucking God, if there was anybody out there who didn't like Bucky before, they sure as fuck do after watching him watching John while he was fighting (or rather losing to) the Dora Milaje and all he did was shout "looking strong, John!"
OMG yes. People kinda gloss over how HUGE it is that Sam would trust Bucky enough to have him in the house overnight with his nephews, and that those kids would be so excited to see Bucky when he showed up to the BBQ. There have to be deleted scenes, because we really don’t see him interact with the kids enough to justify how joyous they were to see him when he showed up with the cake. The one time he’s with them, they’re running away after getting caught with the shield. The show had a lot of plot points removed because the original story was a pandemic plot, and then COVID happened and they had to reshoot and edit a lot of stuff out. I hope they release some of the deleted stuff, because I REALLY wanna see those little boys lose their shit when they find out that the arm is Wakandan tech and that Bucky knows Black Panther. Especially considering that the kids are Black, they’d probably think Bucky was ten times cooler that he lived in Wakanda.
That “braagh” when lifting the thing off the truck was honestly so adorable because you know that he lifts things much heavier without making a sound, so we know he was just being silly and showing off. So cute.
I love the look on Sam's face, like, he's just *now* figured out, like just this second, that Bucky's a genuine bonafide superstrong super soldier. Like the fact hopped, skipped and jumped outta Sam's mind sometime somewhere along the way and has just danced back in and he's 😰😰
Yeah that's what I thought lol, this guy can use one leg to kick a what, 150lbs man (give or take) 15 feet away and can overpower an Iron Man suit with his human arm, so a what, 300lbs boat engine shouldn't be too much cause for concern unless Bucky's playing lol.
Lolz! Adorbs. And I love the other gents reaction to him too. They were swooning like, "Who is this guy! Why are you so strong, can you come help me move my whole house somewhere else!?" I lived for it.
he's just sweetest and also probably The most scarcastic person in mcu gosh making my heart swoon kawaii Úwu kateyln Moon Valentine a.k.a Akali (love of her life Bucky Barnes)
@@user-rt6rb2tr4g That also maybe true. But usually when you are nervous about something and trying to focus on it, the cat starts distracting you again and again 😄😄😄
@@oishisengupta109 distracting but I also thought maybe he kept thinking something was about to be thrown at him and he had to remind himself he was fine so he tried to stop it moving. maybe thats just me though and I'm being dumb.
True. Bucky is a sweetheart. In the first movie, Bucky seems like a popular guy, but his best friend is the guy with no other friends. Bucky was the one who said, "I'm with you 'til the end of the line." I mean, he said it first. Steve never had to be alone at school, in a fight, or in life when Bucky was around. That's what Steve remembers of Bucky. Even when Steve had nothing, he had Bucky :) (quoting from The Winter Soldier) 🙂
Can we talk about how the kids don’t see Bucky as a threat? Like he’s so non threatening they can just hang off his arm and the adults are all fine with it too?
Bucky has several hours worth of screen time in the MCU. And we only see 9 minutes of this guy genuinely getting to live somewhat stably. That's how terrible his life has been. I'm so invested in Bucky, because I really just want to see him get to live. As much as I love the Winter Soldier persona, it's really great to see Bucky be happy.
Hopefully marvel will make a sequel that's literally just an entire season of Sam and Bucky living their lives, having fun and being happy. Maybe Bucky and Sam do some grocery shopping together but no crazy big adventures
@@Tom-oz7wk Yess omg we need an Avengers slice of life. Just the team dealing with their everyday lives. Bucky and Steve being outraged at how expensive milk is now 😂
Well in Civil War he'd just been the Winter Soldier for how long, a literal assassin that Hydra used to do their dirty work. And in Infinity War iirc they had just been on the run so... I don't blame him 😂
yeah, though in TFATWS he did mention since the 40s he's been going from one fight to the next for nearly a hundred years and once he got that peace, he wasn't sure what to do
In TFATWS there is a scene that shows him startling wide awake from a horrific nightmare of what he used to be/harming innocents and he's also sleeping on practically the bare floor... If he's doing it in the show, you can bet that was happening to him during the movies. Poor guy (and that's when I truly fell in love with the character) That kind of sleep is extremely unhealthy, super-soldier serum or not. It's akin to the phrase "unrefreshing sleep" used to help describe the eternal extreme fatigue of chronic illnesses involving the brain and spinal cord. I have one of those diseases plus trauma that gives me horrific nightmares and if I hadn't learned how to do makeup well, I would look like Bucky all the time... Poor guy. I really admire Sebastian Stan for taking on such incredibly damaged yet deep characters.
I love how TFATWS allowed space for Bucky to heal. We got to see good old talkative and snarky Bucky as the show progressed and slowly I feel like he was getting a bit of his humanity back through his interactions with people. 🥺 I love him so much.
@@katherinealvarez9216 You know that in the comics, Bucky actually has a cat? Its a little fluffy white cat called Alpine and they're inseperable. In one comic he even brings kitty to a group therapy session Sam is running and introduces her to everyone.
During that scene I was like, "Uhhhh, a sorcerer is a wizard WITH a hat. Aren't you familiar with Mickey Mouse?" The hat is literally what gave him his power in Fantasia. But yeah, I wanted to smack BOTH OF THEM with a dictionary. 🤣
@@Jenonymouse confession: I don't know the difference between a wizard and a sorcerer. Also witches, enchantresses, sorceresses, hedge witch- people magic. That's it
@@katherinealvarez9216 lol, I definitely would not be the one getting in a fight over the difference. 😊 As far as words go though, The Sorcerer's Apprentice is easily recognized pop culture and that's where my mind instantly went. °o°
All Sam had to do was change it to "Aliens, Androids, or Magic." Then it would've been a catchall that would've covered everything from Strange, to Wanda, to the gods and such.
Is anyone else gonna talk about how playful he is when he's around kids? The play fighting, letting them hang on his arm, and then the smile when they get startled while playing with the shield.
1:37 "Why didn't you use the metal arm?" I know this video isn't about this at all and it was an adorable scene, but I NEED to say this: Why why WHY does everyone forget that this man is a super soldier lmao? Bucky literally has the super soldier serum in his BLOOD. He HAS super strength. I mean, Sam was struggling to fix that leak, and though it took some effort, but Bucky was able to fix it much faster than a normal man would have, using his super strength in his right arm. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, he literally just kicked a dude and he went FLYING into spinning helicopter blades. Yeah obviously the metal arm is stronger but I feel like ppl forget that Bucky has the same enhanced strength, durability, and same powers/skillset in the rest of his body as Steve did lol
@@TroubledMindsX yea I know what the point is and I know that the video had nothing to do with what I'm saying, but my point still stands. He has super strength. The rest of his limbs are almost as strong as the metal arm because he's a super soldier, so its not weird or anything if he's using his normal limbs bc they're enhanced.

In the words of Anthony Mackie, our leader, and guide to life: "Sebastian Stan, man you lookin good.." or, alternatively: "Sebastian Stan, the mark of greatness, the measure of beauty amongst men".
I think Bucky's struggle in TFATWS is what made his redemption arc very interesting. While making amends he's also fighting the nightmares he had when he was still the Winter Soldier. Bucky may not be himself when he was the Winter Soldier but he still killed some innocent people so he needs to pay but at the same time you'll feel sorry for him. Bucky being himself again is great but the previous experience he had will never change but at least it made him stronger and better than he was before.
I love how in TFATWS bucky is so sassy. Like the way he just sasses everyone and doesn't even give two shots is such a bucky thing it warms my entire soul

I really like how Bucky managed to break free from being the winter soldier. And given a second chance during infinity war and endgame. He and Cap were a great team during the war. And now he and Sam are starting to make a good team
I love Bucky so much- he deserves the world after all he’s been through and it’s amazing that he is opening up to act like this again instead of not being able to after all he’s been through- I really hope we get to look into buckys journey further through recovery again in more detail-sebastian Stan plays him phenomenally and I also love him equally as much because of how nice kind and real (as in open about different topics) he is.
