For Nikita to blackfish so much, she sure doesn’t know what are good neutral/nude tones for black people’s nails. Like you said, those ombré/French tip nail beds were SUPER orange. Very clear she only had one tone in mind.

I was thinking the same thing, don't know who they thought that french base would match or look good on. Should have made it clear or more of a muted shade. I completely agree about the cuticle area for the press ons. Does anyone actually use the press on tabs instead of the glue? Never had good experiences with them.
Yeah, I was thinking the same about that nail bed color. I'm about as light white as you can get and I can tell that orangey color would look awful on me too 🤷♀️
Only time I’ve used the tabs is when I’m only planning on wearing nails for a couple days. They’re great for short term use but horrible if you’re trying to get a couple weeks out of them. They’re ideal for people who can’t have nails at their jobs but wanna look cute on weekends without having to spend two hours removing them afterward.
@@horserider3008 Dry ur nails with acetone, nail polish remover, or alcohol pads. Then buff them lightly. Sand the inside of the false nail using a nail drill or sand paper. Don’t touch ur nails at all, the moisture from ur fingers will hydrate them! Keep in mind they’re not meant to last that long but they last me a day :)
I know you probably won’t see this but I struggle with severe emetophobia and I have very bad episodes where my entire body shakes uncontrollably and sometimes I even pass out from the stress I found this channel two or three years ago during a extremely bad episode and now when I have these long lasting panic attacks I watch your videos and it makes it easier for me to feel better and I have no idea how or why but thank you

Apres still sells the color extend gel. It’s like a colored builder gel. They’re great. I just bought some two months ago. For the press ons, Kiss makes a good product for nail removal. It’s called Kiss Glue Off. It’s weird because when I did wear press ons, some of the nails popped off within a day. And then some had to be soaked in acetone.
I love that the ones with the flames can be done with the gel x method ! Etch the inside & use builder gel since it’s clear & the light can penetrate through the nail ! 🥰

Can you do a video where you apply press-ons with polygel or acrylic instead of glue to see how long they last. It don't have to be Nikita's press-ons. Love you and your channel!❤
I make my own press-ons now and one thing that I had to learn the hard way was that gel doesn’t cure under fully polished press-on nails. My nails were only staying on because it was slightly cured to my skin. But the bed of the nail still had goopy gel under it from not being able to cure properly from the LED lamp. So glue is a better option for press-ons. Acrylic might work though.
When you apply your nails don’t start from the cuticle, do it from side to side. I do it left to right so I don’t have any air bubbles on the sides. Hope this helps! 💗💗💗
I'm Suprised that the instructions didn't say to buff the shine off both the back of the nail and your own nail. Plus using nail dehydrator and primer 💯 helps the press ons stay longer.
I saw a TikTok from scandal beauty reviewing them and saying the French tips were duped from them, their video reviewing the Nikita ones were sooooo bad compared to the scandal ones 😭😭
Those are pretty! I often use press ons with glue. I don’t use the sticky tabs at all. But, a quick tip for you, try using your base coat as a glue. Use your lv lamp to dry it. It will last for about 2 weeks or more. It doesn’t cause as much damage to your nail bed.

I used to wear press ons regularly and I found that after a few months my nails started to be thin and they just didn’t stick as good (started to fall off.) I think the removal process was removing too many nail layers. I bet putting a base coat down first would have helped!
@@xInusHotiex soaking off in acetone is fine. Just make sure you're not scraping off any glue or anything before it's soft enough. If you scrape before it's soft enough, that is what will damage the nature nails
