I had never heard of pinsa before, one is always learning, and I loved seeing you as employees, you are talented at it. It's always a pleasure to see the more traditional and less touristy part of the city, although I believe that currently tourists are a bit everywhere.
My wife works in the deli of a grocery store, and she makes between 60 and 80 flatbreads every day. It's the same as these, and I love them. They don't cook them in the store. They're take-and -bake.
The old town of Cannes is seldom seen by tourists! Of course the city is renowned for its international film festival. Best thing about your outing was the delicious pizza. It look good! Awaiting more next Sunday. 😊
Great video. Twiggy dancing was the highlight for me (and Mr Boo's expressions as he listens to your commentary as you're driving along, of course). Thanks! 🤗
Memories flood back. Singing "Ilkley Moor" in a pub in The Cut, Waterloo in (approx) 1967!! and again in The Old Brockley Jack somewhere in South London. Crikey - that was a long time ago! It was a good song around the piano near closing time.
Tim, you should start a whole new, RU-vid channel teaching English dialects! Not just to the French but to all of us! It was such fun watching you all at the restaurant. I learned a lot. I didn’t know about the Romans and pizza crust or the Italians being gluten intolerant. Awesome video! Love from Vermont.
I really liked the old quarter when I was in Cannes for a wine exhibition. Never heard of Pinsa but I really like flatbread. Have to see if others half can make. What I really don't like are so called American pizza deep crust and little topping which a lot of English people have gone for
Guys…. I’m sure many of your followers could see you both running a ‘Me et Mon Ami’ bar / restaurant! There would certainly never be a dull moment having watched you work with customers and the chef! 😜😜
Its been a while since I checked in with you two gents, glad I did. Very entertaining video as always. I am frustrated that the AMI is still not available in Denmark, makes no sense that Citroen wont sell it here yet. I lobe Mr. Boo's miming at 03:50 - made me laugh out loud. What do you fellas make of that crazy limited edition AMI Buggy that Citroen made?
Just had my lovely Sunday teatime fix. A song for the restaurant….”Needles and pinsa” by the searchers from Liverpool ! Would not suggest going on the beach in elton ,with those little wheels you will get stuck . The commentary always makes me smile .great stuff as usual.
Some of sy favourite northern phrases (I am from Rochdale): I'll go t'foot of our stairs (an expression of surprise); if I don't see you through the week, I'll see you through t'window (au revoir); I'll christen you Anthony (I'll give you a crack); put wood in t'hole (shut the door); couldn't stop a pig in a ginnel (bandy legs).....actually there's too many..
What an interesting video this week (I can say this any week though) I for one wasn’t worried at your off roading, otherwise the title would’ve been “Beach Rescue” or something. I’m going to go back a few vlogs now to see when you took on the Yul Brynner look. Thank you Tim and Mr Boo
My fav one to date but only because Cannes is my fav place in the world, must have walked past the restaurant dozens of times, will defo try the Pinsa next August. Keep em coming and until next time Stay charged 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Merveilleux! Thanks for another novel delight. When in CANNES, we know where to go go for dinner, and I would love to seem more 'behind the grub' episodes like this!
that left turn off the bord de mer was proper dodgy you could have driven a bit further to the next roundabout at la siesta/biot and done u turn . A few people on motor bikes have been killed on that stretch of road because of that , the car coming towards even flashed its lights at you !!!
Mister Me and Mister Boo and Elton and Twiggy 🐶🐕 what with Elton sticking to the beach & On Ilkley Moor bart hat!!!😂😂 Tim teaching the French people nortern dialect that would be some bloody vlog 😂😂😂😂😂You both made a good job of helping out there at the restaurant ❤ gotta say another terrific bit if entertainment from you both keep up the great content on the channel stay well and stay charged 👍 😀
I've now got t'worms'll come an' eyt thee oop singing, and ducks etc., running through my head. Good job it's chicken that I've got cooking in the oven and not duck 😂. Even though I'm a Lancastrian, it's one of the songs that we used to sing when I was a kid when we were off on a day trip somewhere . I'm agate to Daisy, ah wer born int' Lankisher, an' ah'm reet prowd o' me 'eritige. Sadly these days we are losing a lot of the regional dialect......a lot of youngsters haven't a clue about any of the local sayings 😢
My dad used to make us sing On ilkley moor bar t'at. But we were in Lancs? I think the soul of Blackpool is Stanley Park. My auntie used to live near it. Trampolines and the sound of peacocks. The boating lake and zoo near by.
That pinsa looked incredible! I am going to make this tomorrow! Mr. Boo's facial expressions when you are talking absolutely crack me up! I was yelling at the TV...'don't do it Tim...you'll get stuck!' Glad you were able to get off the beach okay. Do people actually park their van's and campers on the beach and live there off season?? Anyway, it was super to visit your friend at the pinsa restaurant. He seemed like a lovely and friendly fella...Ahhh...the stories he must have to tell about tourists...lol
Who's been a courtin Mary Jane..On Ilkley Moor baht aat! I was singing along with you! And where was your cocktail dress, Tim? haha. Brilliant video. Pineapple on a pizza? Oh No!! 🤌🤌🤌
Another great vlog, Tim. I especially like your idea of teaching northern dialect English to the French. As you and many of your viewers know, Villefranche is famous for, among other things, it's French language school, Institut de Français. I think it would be a marvelous thing if you did them one better. We're planning an extended stay in Villefranche for early 2025. If it's not too presumptuous, I'd love to help you teach the "Quelle heure est il?" equivalent English lesson. We could do the "What time is it, Eccles?" skit in a Yorkshire accent.
@@MeandMonAmi I wonder, does it talk about why he was so liked and respected by the locals? There's a story, which might be apocryphal, about local fishermen rescuing his son Mancha after he capsized a small boat. Henry was apparently so grateful that he donated part of his land to the village (La plage du Château). Apparently almost all the villagers showed up at his funeral.
While she was in Juan-Les-Pins, she hung out with The Stones, stole a painting from Picasso and checked the racing results to see if the horse she got from The Aga Khan was placed in The Derby, all while wearing that "perfectly designed topless swimsuit"
Aaaah that explains why on our recent Italian holiday that they were so good with me as a Coeliac. You learn something every day. Can you get Gluten free Pinsa bases?
I loved that Pinsa you made. I'll need to try and make my own. With the exceptopn of Cakes, I wonder if there is anything else you can make that actually looks like an Ami.
Something to do with me having used an ad blocker. So I unblocked it for this site, and it still won''t let me watch videos. Oh well, I guess it's their ball and if they want to pick it up and go home, I'll have to look at other things.
Finally a day of over cast in the South of France I was beginning to think 🤔 this was a movie set. Timothy- You can be My waitress ina Cocktail bar - That much Is True ❤️
What do you think guys!? Would Pinsa go down in Thailand, given their heavy dependence on bland Pizza Hut and Pizza Co? I would definitely pile on the chillis myself, and as mozarella is already produced here using water buffalo milk, it might be a goer.
I came back to the television while you were sitting in the parking lot had to pause the video and run out on the deck and search for sputnik going over the house, but to no avail it was just you with your blinker on in the parking lot.😂🤣😂🛰️🛸
