It's even better when it works out long term in either a, "becomes a badass shit talking gods and everything because he can," way. Or even a, "evil baddys make huge tales of a horrible human," just because of misunderstood phrasing or body language. The 4 Horseman Universe by Mark Wandrey and varied authors has something similar to this that gets called back to as far as 2-3 series deep into the collection.

Aren’t a whole lot of kids pyromaniacs though ? I once set a dried field on the way home from school only to find myself surrounded in a circle of flame. I ran toward a portion which hadn’t quite grown taller than me yet and leapt over it like a gazelle. Fear of burning to death can endow you with superpowers. I did have to answer some questions about the fire’s origin by some firemen who soon went blasting by me to put it out. I lied with a smoothness I’ve never been able to summon since. The moral of the story is my pyromania was cured from that day on and I never lit a fire for the fun of it again.

I don’t care how creepy the guy is. I would have to ask him if he took the jawbreaker out of his mouth every couple minutes to see what new color it had turned. Dinosour Eggs were even better but damned if you can find those anywhere these days.

True. A lot of kids are fascinated or curious about fire, but few become obsessed with starting fires to the point of being actual pyromaniacs.

I didn’t want to spend five years of my life behind a locked door being stared at through a peephole only to come out into a world where I couldn’t land a job at a gas station. I was NOT suddenly infused with super powers. You heard it here first kids. Fun as it may be, do not light fires. Stay off drugs and stay in school. And always listen to Creepy Ghost Stories !!

My bro and his mate did that but with a old truck full of hay.....it burnt down the thing to its frame and 2 fields surrounding it ...somehow my bro got away with it saying it was accident but they did other stuff like fill tennis balls with petrol and set it on fire then play kicking at each other and once they blew up a car ....oh the 90s were so much fun what with no such thing as ring doorbells and ppl being so oversensitive u cant have a laugh anymore ...least i have the comfort of existing then poor kids now get no chance to endanger themselves in such ways and i think its why there all so god damm lame and easily offended. We did loads of dangerous but fun stuff nowadays ur lucky if u see kids playing outside at all let alone buildibg camps fighting each other with bb guns or sticks set on fire ...as i said the 90s were so much fun !

I do love a story that is different…original….not the same ol same ol…..like so many stories that all the narrators do are literally the EXACT same story being passed around…..but you sir always have different stories…. not the same being passed around by everyone else.
