What I have found is that easing into the breaks and easing off helps keep the car under control, rather than slamming them on and just letting go as I did before. I find my self doing a lot more modulation and generally being smoother with all of my inputs as to keep the car from “wobbling” I think it’s been hard to adjust, but I found it rewarding once I did

Yes, I noticed that if I tried to be careful with my weight transfer to the front, the car will turn, but I if I get more aggressive on the next lap with the weight transfer, it’s almost like the car will not turn at all. Takes time a little by little, it makes sense

They path is very clear. They had a new vision for GT7 physics related to GT Sport. But that failed and so they put GT Sport physics in place while they were fixing it. And it's back with their original idea of what GT7 physics should be in the first place.

What you’re saying about the smoothness of weight transfer and the change between under and oversteer sounds right… I noticed when attempting to save a spin, it feels like the car is more responsive during. At first I fought it and it oscillated left and right but then I tried just pointing the tires the direction I wanna go during a spin and it worked.

I’ve noticed / kinda figured out the same things this past week. I have to be “set up” before any heavy braking turn . If the car/weight isn’t right…the braking and turn will NOT go well. A curb or track edge will change everything in a heartbeat.

Harsh downshifting for rotation which was over used before is much more variable now.. it can just push the front on now if you have no weight over the front. Hence a lot of complaints about understeer. Nice to see you driving again, you'd have been able to keep a better eye on that suspension in that car in VR though

Doing this week's races --- the Gr.B rally cars at Eiger track are SO ridiculously sensitive to weight transfer --- they almost stand on their nose when you break downhill and feel so unstable. it could mean that strategic placement of ballast might become a thing to rebalance the car out for certain tracks.

GT7 needs to offer tune shares in game as not every player has the time to invest in finding the perfect balance or like with ACC as they has presets for safe, aggressive or wet

My concern with the physics is the difficulty drifting.

Is it just me or does it feel very hard to brake into a corner now even with abs on?

At first I hated the new physics, but I think it has stopped racers just diving into corners to overtake you. Starting to really enjoy the racing. Oh, I'm on dual shock also.

Turning is not the same. Is anyone else feeling that when to take a corner you can easily lose control of the car? Something is broken for sure.

New FFB and physics are 100x better

I should mention also that they changed every single one of my breaking points on every single track and there is no reason or excuse to have done that. seems they can't make up their mind do you want a car collection game do you want a racing kiosk do you want a controller arcade game, this could be the last Gran Turismo I purchased

Personally, this is a brilliant analysis. You've described precisely how it's evolved. I've been loving it. So much more immersive and demanding, and consequently rewarding (when you get it right). 💪👍

Feels more nuanced, u feel bumps more and trail braking is harder, just user about 25% less brakes at the turn in point and your good to go. Make sure u brake more in a straight line than u did before too

Yeah the new physics seem weird it always feels like it's snap over steer almost I don't know it just doesn't feel the same and it sucks. I'm not sure but was anybody complaining about the physics beforehand?

Gran Turismo ... FEEL THE LOAD!!! Loving the content and continued success...

One thing I've noticed on controller, with abs seat to "weak", you have to modulate the brake pedal in certain circumstances. Previously to 1.49, you could always just slam on the brakes. "Default" is alittle more forgiving. Overall the game feels much more rewarding to play, once you understand why the cars are behaving the way they do.

That open wheel Honda is the hardest car in the game to drive fast. I made it into the top 10 fastest in the world when they had it at Suzuka for the daily race A that one time. You really have to shift up a little bit early and downshift way late. Sometimes don't even downshift at all and allow the RPMs to run as low as possible in the turns and that will activate the differential in the rear and allow the car to rotate properly. But it's a super fine line. I think what is happening is the rear wheels are building up inertia because you aren't downshifting going into a turn and your front tires are obviously slowing down. I think the difference in forces between the front and rear wheels when you don't downshift going into a turn somehow activates the rear differential. Once you get the feel for How low you need the RPMs to go to get this thing to turn you will knock off like 5 seconds off your lap time it's crazy. It's so fast in the turns in low RPMs when you don't shift down it's wild. It loves holding momentum and it will snap over steer on you when you start doing it right. Low RPMs in the turns!

Who’s interested more in how the e-sports drivers are reacting to the changes? How are they approaching car set up (generally) vs the previous physics? There was an e-sports player in this race; was he power-sliding or exhibiting signs of the update?

I just received my very first csl dd pro wheel base and only after a week of waiting. They shipped it out super fast with absolutely no problems. Even got the 8nm boost as well. Updated the firmware and hopped on gt7 right away. Even beat some of my old records. But Mr. Kireth, I'm so nervous about joining a race with the guys it's just stupid. I've been driving only with the AI since I started a couple months ago. So, I really don't know anything about the new physics. I hope I'm not sounding like some finda weener. And because of that I think my DR is only a E. But I did manage to my (super license) though. Sorry about the rambling I know this isn't the place for that, sorry. I just wanted to express myself a bit. This all bares down to the fact I'm kind of a loner with enough friends I can count on one hand. It makes it tough for me to join these rooms. Like I said, I'm a little nervous. Any thought on what I should do about this dilemma? I watch all your videos and put what I can on the track. Well, I'll end on that note & thanks again for sharing. time trials now are worse on later laps ! only lap 1 has the best grip for me.. its even starts loosing at the end of some tracks fast lap..

If the driving experience is more realistic I'm cool with that but from what I've noticed is that I have to drop power 2-3% plus the handling is not as tight so it just makes the game slower. I've not felt any sort of new more realistic feel when on a wet track. It still feels fake as hell. So yeah, I'd personally like to go faster, not have to go slower due to lack of grip or just less power overall in your car. I don't do group races or anything so maybe that's where people will notice more and have more fun?

To be honest, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the new physics, I'm happy that they at least feel different than GT sport. Just like sport, the cars were always too planted and tanky in gt7. It didn't feel that much different going from that game to this one, but now the cars feel more lively and often times more rewarding to drive, albeit harder. I still prefer forza driving model, but this one definitely brings gt7 closer to it.

The new physics suck. Since they were released on 1.49. I have not played more than an hour when the first was updated. All my set ups are worthless. On a controller the road cars snap loose almost immediately.

On my wheel the classic Porsche coupe weekly race had me raging. With even the most gentle inputs it neatly immediately spins out entering corners. I had to do the race 12 TIMES!!!

The m4 f1 has no force feedback at all… the wheel is so light

1.49 to 1.50 update. So the 1.50 update is there , without correcting the littles physics things i thought they would fix. They only correct the weird events when some cars was jumping very high , like stepping over a mine. The most important was to correct the sudden lost of rear end grip on certain cars , i keep try several time but there is no way using any settings availables to correct this bad behaviors. I could able to limit it but for some cars , they are almost impossible to drive with a kind of pleasure. They will sleep taking dust at the back of my garage unfortunately. The new Impreza '98 , or Audi TTS '09.... and some others are in this case. I'll try to save what could be saved. Sorry for this. Praiano63 . Laurent.

The cars no longer brake like an F1 car

New psychics suck in Gr.3 i hate having to retune just too get back too doing lap times i was doing on my controller before the update. Im currently 0.2 away from before the update.

They dont allow tuning in Daily Races. It sucks because they have it in the game and prohibit it in Daily Races.

YES! A vid on getting the feel back with my Logitech pro wheel and pedals! I'm still pissed that they've ruined what was a years worth of detailed tunings and setups. PS5 and Logi Pro info would be invaluable. I can get some of the truforce back but then there's the zero feel when you hit the grass, side rumble strips, all diminished to the point of worthless. This feels like a crap arcade game! It sure isn't worth much when I consider that I have the VR2 also JUST FOR RACING EXPERIENCE, but the driveability sucks. So angry that i wasted so much money on GT7. Kireth if you can do a Vid on Logi Pro, and show a way to get the feel back, It would be invaluable! fingers crossed.

Those new physics are good and bad of course so they tried to push but they're not here right now yet. Assetto Corsa without TC, ABS is more enjoyable than the new physics in the GT7 even if you lost control you know about this perfectly in Assetto Corsa or Competizione but nowhere in the GT7 it's half transferable feelings from the tires to overall feelings.

I used this car for the TT and I had to turn my FFB to 15nm and still nothing. For me theyve fucked it. Physics arent harder, the chronic understeer just isnt realistic, as mentioned by multiple creators who have driven group cars irl. 5% more front end on group cars would be welcome and some FFB back would be good before I bill them as my new 15nmDD is no better than my old 8nmDD with this update. Not a bad update overall, but not the game for BoP users atm.

I was ready to buy a fanatec set up before this update, Then fanatec folded. Then I had the logitec in my basket and this update released And now im glad i didnt buy any of it. I will stick to gt7 vr on the controller. Its not just what ive seen but the comments ive read. FWIW Personally i view the new physics on the controllerer and VR as an improvement but as others have said it all feels a little bit like the emperors new clothes.

Grab Turismo 7 with the Fanatec DD+ has the most amazing and realistic FFB. The physics enhancement further puts it laps ahead of all the rest. It's so shameful so many with Zero experiences IRL, or with GT7 or hands on Fanatec have son much noise and disinformation to rant on about. But toxic ego sim cults need to get exposed to get things back on track.

I'm an older person that learned to drive real cars before ABS & TC were a thing. I only use ABS in game. The update has actually made me faster due to others having to tackle the steep learning curve of a much more realistic physics setup. Tuning your drivetrain & suspension is more crucial now than ever.

The last time i play GT was please dont laugh😂 GT 4😂 then i start playing again on GT7 am not great driver but as you comment the cars drive like in the train tracks and i eas always wonder how this guys make the car stuck on the road like this and always break the lap record by 2 sec or 3 sometimes 4 seconds.i play with remote control i only play SPORT to be honest and i always been faster about 1 second or a bit less then lap is for 2 million credits.let me see the new physics and i come back to you again.i like your channel i never subscribe but i will now.and also i want to say is honna be better to have races with remote only and steering wheel separately.and time trial .i can beat those guys with the steering wheel.i cant go 50% brake or acceleration with the remote

Gt7 physics are still Terrible. Update is like a toy has received new lights to mimic realism. With all the AI modelling and ways to collect data, you think Sony and PD have the resources to put these cars on a track in real life and measure all the parameters and then create a model from the data for each car. Instead we get this numb, on rails with software engineer math physics. I couldn’t write the code for this, but nor should anyone else. Sony PD need to talk to F1 teams on how they code their simulators. Gt7 is a sitting duck once a pc sim that can match the graphics comes out that does the above it’s over! Each car needs a neural network model that has worked out all the millions of pathways (car behaviour) for the given parameters (car speed, position on track, driver input etc etc). Science is f@&;&:&/ there 😂

When the physics first came out for the last update I didn't like them at all. Now they're starting to grow on me a little bit.

I'm using SimHub with an array of BassShakers Far be it from me to appear to criticise naturals like you, Tidge and SoooopaGT RU-vidrs... But I think you're often slightly over-engaging the ABS in big braking zones by about 3-8%. (Lots of red in your brake traces.) I _think_ the new physics are really concerned with tyre temps. So, boiling your front tyres into a big stop, probably means armfulls of understeer on exit... But, for a slightly drifty, balance-on-the-throttle, slightly-sideways, trail-braker like myself, I tend to cook the Lambo's rear tyres during the length of the race. I've taken to clicking the brake bias forwards, in an attempt to keep the temps below 90 oC Far be it from me to criticise. You guys are still plenty quicker than me 😏👍

GT7's new physics are hit and miss. GR4 cars seem to have a great feel, but the gt3 cars are terrible w/ weight load, and snap over/under steer. Which should not be the case. While I enjoy the braking and tire physics I do not think GT7 is on the right track when it comes to steering.

The FFB now is phenomenal, its like in Automobilista 2!

In my eyes its hard but kinda fun. This race in particular. It shows how much control you need in the car

let me tell you what's wrong with polyphony the right hand doesn't know what the left-hand is doing so they make changes to try to make the physics feel more real when we cannot feel the G forces do they not understand that?!! I can tell you right now that if you try to make the physics of a video game match the physics of a real life automobile you're gonna end up with a turd on your hands I got news for polyphony I'm 2 1/2 seconds faster on a well-known track in Gran Turismo sport after the update all they did was ruin the game everyone is entitled to their opinion and that is my opinion by the way I've been a professional race driver for almost 50 years airplanes motorcycles and cars I feel I have enough gravitas to have an opinion that counts they're trying to make the game more playable for people with controllers that is the truth and a nutshell and I'm done with them we only play Gran Turismo sport and I'll be switching to ACC like everyone else is doing

Road cars, or about 80% of the cars in the game, actually feel drivable now, and race cars, which should actually require some skill to drive, do. The people mad about the physics are those who jumped into Gr. 3 cars and never had to learn to drive with nuance, just dive and turn.

Yup, these new changes are great. I'm a real pleb, but enjoying the added complexity. The Honda on this track highlights the differences particularly well. Great video. Yeah, the G Pro has been un-nerfed, but TrueForce changes are a mixed bag. I drove the SF19 yesterday and there was virtually no FFB. When I reconnected my Drive Hub, the full FFB came back. I'm sure PD will address these glitches soon enough.

They should’ve never changed it. It was fine the way it was. Everything was better. They alienated people that drive on controllers and not wheel and pedal set ups.

I’ve put gt 7 on for the first time in months and in my experience the new physics are terrible, they were already pee poor but their now firmly in the gutter. Most cars feel no much different, not better just negligible. GT3 cars have been turned into understeering canal boats, and cars like the Honda NSX are now undrivable. I mean my expectations for GT7 were already in the in the drain but they’re now in the sewer!. GT7 is okay for a joke mess around as if I’m going to a pier arcade but as for realistic racing sims GT7 is not it lol.

They've ruined the game with these stupid physics changes i was just getting used to not using very low or no traction control and now i have to put traction control on 3 just to be able to drive the cars i normally use.i wish they would leave the game alone it was perfectly fine how it was before.

The gt7 physics are exaggerated and unrealistic compared to real life. I was in a stock m4 on the nordschleife straight and it randomly booted the car off to the left 😂 As someone who tracks often gt7 is very unrealistic. Much better off investing in a PC and asseto corsa

Still had the ps4 version of Gt7 and I played the crap outa it. Data got corrupted during a storm that cut the power and The game Literally shat itself. Can’t buy it again because ps thinks I still own it but it’s just a bad file that’s stuck But hey I can still watch videos I guess🫠
