I moved to Oakland California back in the early 80's after starting a reggae band in Detroit named Sirius roots,we stayed together for about two years, playing in Detroit, and Ohio .For the most part it was a learning experience and I loved it, but it came with alot of untogether people that didn't understand the concept of working as a band. I made myself a promise that I would never work with another band again.until I met this band (I-WORLD)in California. These brothers was an exceptional band. I had the enjoyment and honor of living learning ,and working under these well organized men . Their music spoke about the true meaning of how to live your life free from babylon's deceptions .There's so much I can say about my experience with them and so little time to say it. I have not seen them for more than 30 years ,I truly miss them brothers
Hutu Hotep thanks for your memories and kind words. This is Katsumi guitarist with I World we had a good some good experiences good and bad back then. Once we were waiting to go on stage in the alley next to the Mambuhay Gardens on Broadway in S.F. three of us sitting in our old chevy truck and others standing by when I saw the police comeing down the alley in the rear view mirror. I yelled "Police"! and jumped out and went into the side door. I came out to the front of the club and Professi, Dreadi, Jah Zuf and Conrad were crammed into the back of a police car in hand cuffs. Obviously we didn't play that night...
