Don't get me wrong :) There are just better-sounding headsets for the price and a little more: HyperX Cloud Stinger, Arctis 1, Astro A10, CM MH630, Razer BlackShark V2, Corsair HS50, Corsair Void RGB Elite (now 59 on Amazon), Cougar Phontum S (not that good mic but the sound is better), Cougar Immersa TI (now 49.99 on Amazon). After testing the Kraken X more and more, the mic is really one of the best for this price, but the sound quality is just not there... all of the above are better sounding than this headset.
I might skip the arctis 1 for the arctis 3 do you think I should? I found them for £60/$80 or do you recommend another headset for that price or near that price

Pro gaming it’s actually super nice, super comfy on the ears and I have a smaller head, audio and mic quality is really really good, and for 50 bucks it’s a total steal
I bought this headset 2 months ago, and they cracked today. They cracked at the adjustable bands place, one side cracked. And i set the size on 4, so my head isn't big or anything. It happened to me few hours ago, and i had to share this story with all the people who consider buying it. Better buy a bit more expensive ones, then this. Frame of headsets is very low quality and can crack on few different places. It's like they are made of paper. I was saving money for quite some time to buy them, but im so dissapointed now i have no words. And of course, i can't refund or do anything, cause razer doesnt know is it my fault for cracking them. Im a calm person, and i treated the sets very gently, so this is not worth of a buy for sure, especially for passionate gamers who don't pay much attention how they put this headset on their head etc. I have razer keyboard, mouse pad, mouse, so i don't hate razer in any way, but this headsets are the weakest item in their shop for sure. I will copy this message to all clips about this headsets, maybe it will help someone. Sorry for long post.

I am really trying to be as transparent about the products and people just don't trust someone with not many subscribers :) I've been testing gaming headsets for years, as I'm a tech journalist and a native Bulgarian RU-vid, but the English channel is small and people simply don't take my words :)
My issue was not the sound quality (which you have to install pc software to get the best out of them, feel sorry for console owners) Anyhoo, mine snapped twice, the first time was further up the adjuster on the right, so I was able to push the remaining bit back inside the headset and simply extended the left side a little more, however it just snapped again above the right hand side earpiece, so there is nothing to push back in to support it, so its just flopping about. I am not alone, look at other reviews then read the comments. The build quality is shocking. I am so suprised how bad they are. My previous razer's lasted years, which is why I bought these. From what I have read they are not fond of replacing physically damaged headsets, blaming it on user damage. All I did was try to remove it from my head when it snapped.
I suggest activating windows sonic for headphones over on 7.1 surround sound device from the device list down in the task bar where you have the windows volume...this will eliminate all bass boosted or too more bass effect..and everything will be resolved with this....you will thank me later after seeing this comment and like me :)
Don't get discouraged by the like-dislike ratio or hate comments, those of us who bought the headphones know whatever you said is true and how shitty the sound quality is, and that this is an honest review.
Had these for a while, the only problem I had was that the earmuffs get a little warm and uncomfortable after a while of wearing them. Other than that, it’s a pretty good headset
6 months and it cracks in 2.sound is worse like this guy says… I play insurgency sandstorm,PUBG etc can’t locate where the bullets are fired or footsteps are also awkward. Basically 50 dollars isn’t cheap for Indians so I really regret buying it. Cables are awesome … durable and looks are good too!
the kraken x wont last you more than a year, ive had 2 pairs and on both the side piece that holds the earpiece broke and I had to get a new one because its made of plastic and even if you're gentle with it (which I was) it'll break regaurdless
Man I have them currently and I got to tell you I agree they don't sound good especially if you're listening to music with high volume the audio gets choppy and noisy especially vocals and the music in mids and highs gets destroyed and don't even get me started on the 7.1 feature that's a whole nother can of warms
I got them as a gift and I totally related to your opinions. I don't know if other vids on RU-vid are sponsored but their 7.1 program is BS and competitive shooters are terrible (far away sound, not footsteps and disoriented)
I disagree, I think the headphones are actually good, even the sound, except the wire. The wire is so bad and gets tangled all the time its realyl annoying. But if you ignore that the headphones are really good.
Just buy the hyperX stinger Iv had mine for 4 years and its still working a couple of scratches but really almost nothing changed in the audio i had to change the headpad and earpads a couple of times tho but still it's Great unlike the kraken x mine broke after 4 months of use and i never even dropped it
mine stopped having clamping force and than they broke on plastic top on a half ... build quality is worse than on some rampage or redragon ones .... DO NOT BUY
I have had the same sound experience & i have to say the headset feels like its broken. The microphone on mine isn't hearable until i boost it by 20 db and my sound settings don't even recognise it as a headset.. i will try to return mine to buy a better razer headset, wish me luck :)
Pls help me I just bought kraken x lite and its sound horrible it has no bass or anything else it sound like a 2 doller fake Chinese headphones pls help me I installed the 7.1 razer program and it doesn't work 😢
@@TechSpaceYT totally agree. I can hear foot steps but not sure from where, at least everytime. Also the volume is low compared to others in the same range
used these headphones for about 2 years now. I have the same damn issue. They are sooo muffled that it feels like enemies in most games are wearing blankets on their foot. Thats fine for the most part but it is annoying af when you want to listen to music.
dude why the dislikes. it's just his opinion. everyone has different opinions and in my opinion too, there are better options available in this price range.
Guys don't buy this headphone, get the kraken(without the x) instead if you want a razer headphone(that is if you want a kraken headphone). From my experience the x variants of razer headphones are the 'they won't notice cuz they're dumb' products of razer

Saw these at staple's just waned to see if they were any good before I buy them the mic sounds awesome but I guess your saying the sound quality sucks I'll take your word for it.
hey this happened me today actually and i just bought them, theres a mute button on the side of the headphones that i turned off and on and if that doesnt work i unplugged the headphone n plugged them again and it started working

@@TechSpaceYT the only real complaint I have with them is that the fake leather on the earmuffs started peeling off severely but other than that, they work like I just got them out of the box
