Haha so after hearing all your feedback, the mic is actually better than I thought. I guess I’m jaded from using my desktop mic for so long after numerous headset mic reviews....but yes this mic actually deserves more credit after hearing it again here
I don't even use Razer products. They're overpriced but most of the time (except for their mice) they are lackluster. So I really am shocked with this product but probably not gonna buy one though.
This is not the first cheap razer headset: look the razer kraken usb and Electra v2. But the impressing things is that this headset is not green! Razer are you ok?
I have been using these for 8 months and so far, one complaint. 1: Audio still crisp as ever 2. Super comfortable, lightweight, doesnt fatigue me like my old g231s 3. Mic is great, good enough for voiceovers if youre starting out on youtube 4. can literally see the difference between a gaming and non gaming headset, in valorant my teammates cannot hear enemies, but I can hear them clearly and give them a heads up about it. If I dont say anything they cannot hear the enemy right behind them 5. Earcups are great, soft and durable, no problem for people with glasses as I wear my eye protection glasses while using these The only complaint is that my headband's right side snapped, only the top. No idea how, maybe because of the fragile plastic construction. I stuffed the gap with plasticine and welded the plastic back and its fine again. Just make sure to use them carefully and dont drop them. for 50$, great deal. Headband couldve used metal tho UPDATE I was right about the headband being metal. it snapped from both left and right side. I ghetto patched it up but I think its time for new ones. I travelled with them 3 times, nothing happened. Sound great still and work fine, just not comfy cuz the band snapped. If you can keep them safe theyre good, but i think this is the end of me using these for now
@@heheheheheehhaheu thanks I’ve just ordered one can’t wait. Saw the odd few saying it broke after a week so I had a feeling it’s their own issue not the headset
Razors keys u can have tactile and loud tactile and quite or the smooth and loud or smooth and quiet XD so they have keys suitable for anyone no matter what and also they have strong aluminium body’s and included memory foam wrist rests also great two tone rgb plus double shot pbt keycard with great keyboard feet for around £150 and they also have mecha membrane keys as a choice and on some they have options to boot into bios and auto overclock your cpu and ran from one touch on a key
I bought this headset and I have to say I really like it. The plastic feels a bit cheap but the bass and surround sound is very good. I recommend it if you are on a budget
YT XiGlove I think that people don’t realize how much better their products are than their older ones. Razer has grown so much as a company and I really like their audio devices, mice, keyboards, laptops, etc.
Agreed. I'm looking to upgrade to a sweet wireless headset with no price limit, and I can't find anything that makes me think "whoa those are wayyy better than mine"
@@xXAaron102Xx RGB literally stands for red green blue but people use the acronym to describe or represent all the flashing colors you see in a gaming keyboard, mouse, or headset. Basicallly, RGB means the flashy colors you see in gaming stuff.
Razer does a damn good work there.A really decent mic, good build quality, a good surround sound program,I gotta say it’s worth the price.Another thing is your review is great. Keep it up man, you’re doing a good job.
A warning for anyone planning to buy this, the plastic is really cheap and breaks extremely easily, even through everyday use. For me it lasted about 6-7 months, and I think I can say I was lucky. If you really want a Razer headset I would say wait until you can buy one with an aluminium headband.
@@quoicoubeh-mx3me I just got mine yesterday and while in an Xbox party, sometimes everyone in the party would hear a constant cracking but then it would go away. Has this happened to you at all? Btw I’m on PC and they’re on Xbox.
@PrettyCoolDoge Yes, ok,. Basically, all their mice are good, and the DeathAdder was the most used e-sports mouse for a while. Their Blackwidow is one of the most sold keyboards, many have them, and their headphones are known to be some of the best there. Only thing I could say is bad on what they make is their mousepads.
Razer good? Deathadder good? I had issues when i used my deathadder 2 year ago. Used it and the left click broke. Man razer quality is very bad. My brother also bought raazer headset for i think $150 5 year ago and broke just for 6 month. Wow. Im done with razer. Thanks. Steelseries have some better mice. I love my rival 700. Its very very awesome mice. Especially the tactile feature when i play dota. I love that.
Get a superlux hd668B studio headphones, it costs 40$ and is compared to some 200$ headphones sound wise, you'll have to get a separate mic since studio headphones don't come with one. All of these "gaming" headphones are overpriced garbage.
That mic sounds damn good. Much, much better than other headsets at that price point. If I didn’t already own the HS70 as a backup to my Sennheisers, I’d pick these up immediately.
guys i have this headset and i love how comfortable it is, but the mic sometimes buzzes when you bump the wire!!!! keep this in mind before purchasing :)
I have the Kraken, and Kraken tournament with THX surround sound. These headsets are some of the best I've used, for PS4. For $50 though you can't go wrong with this headset for console gaming. Also the tournament version is around $100-$120 but they're worth it, even without using THX settings on, you still hear everything very clearly.
I’m on my second pair of these. They fit and sound awesome. The only downside is both my first and current pair broke the right side ear piece and they’ve only lasted maybe 4 months. Like he said they are plastic so be very careful taking them on/off for $50 they’re not bad besides being plastic and can easily break
Oh wow the mic tests you've done are really helpful. Just compared your logitech g433 vid with this one and the difference in mic quality is highly noticeable, thank you!
i like how he does a glasses test. its very important since you can be so sold on a headset and when you go home its a massive letdown since its not as comfortable as you thought and for me, comfort is the most important factor over sound quality or mic quality. Bonus points if its wireless but im not too concerned about it.
I’ve currently sent back 2 of these for defects. The first had a grounding issue with the wire, causing my buddies to get earraped by my mic. The second one starting cracking on the headband, and I treated that thing with great care. Beware if you go about purchasing one of these, you’re taking a gamble. It works great when it decided to work though!
BE WARNED BEFORE YOU BUY THIS HEADSET! Within a month, the adjusting part of the headband (the part that moves up and down to fit ur head) BROKE in 2 parts on one side of the headset, making it UNUSEABLE, in the normal configuration, many people seem to have the same problem as well.
@@FzPura Nope. Currently using them right now. I will say that I’m ocd when it comes to caring for things so idk how long itll last for a normal person haha
good to see a more affordable headset from Razer, they make some solid products imo also i dont mind a full plastic construction, my current Sennheiser HD599(cost around 150 euros) is also full plastic, still feels really solid and its extremely comfortable
For anyone interested in this headset I personally can't recommend it, my mic like peaks and some of what I say just doesn't go through discord unless I change my mic sensitivity a crazy amount, and I get crazy unresolved sound leakage that makes me feel bad for others, the software just didn't work properly and lastly the plastic headband is just not a good idea, mine ended up cracking, and it's really hard to fix even with hot glue and tape, sort of just comes undone again
I dig my Corsair HS50's but if these Razers had a metal headband, I'd probably switch. I think the mic sounds pretty clean, especially for the price...
As a user of these for 6 months I would like to add some points. The build quality on first look may look alright but it isn't, got my first crack few months in, near the right ear cup(right under the two screens facing inside). More time passed and a crack appeared on the top frame. Fast forward now it's been six months and the top is cracked (towards the right side). Now I've managed to glue it back and it's holding fine again for now but how long till it opens up or another part of the headset breaks? Another point i'd like the add is the headset comes with 3.5 mm Jack which means if ur using this on ur PC u will be needing a soundcard to properly translate the mic audio inputted. Even if u use the female to 2 male adapters provided there will be constant static with the audio delivered through mic and it's very sufferable. I ended up getting a cheap 2 dollar sound soundcard and it already sounds a lots better. The mic is still not as good as this video but it's improved. The sound, well it's alright, the bass isn't too heavy and since I have no previous experience with headsets I can't elaborate further. Without the soundcard there will be a constant static you will hear(noticable at max volume). And that's it for the issues, the headset is very comfy and lightweight. You can wear it for hours on end. Thanks for reading .
the plastic arms break over time if you arent careful while taking these off. I wouldn't recommend if you usually take headphones on and off or like using them in bed.
What’s the best headset for under $70 for call of duty modern warfare? The things I care about the most are 1. Audio (Really important) 2 Mic (Important) 3. Comfort (care a little bit under decent amount 4. Extras like controls on it (Don’t care if I have it at all 5. Build (Don’t give a shit about if it’s plastic or whatever just don’t want it to break)
Hey Man, I would really appreciate you doing a best headset for $50 review/video thing thankS. Or if other companies have promised cheach headsets then wait cus that's good too. Great video as always
@@tweetydx9967 didn't think i was gonna reply i think The Hyper X Cloud Stinger is better but i personally don't have any experience with any of them But If Wanted To Buy I would Go for The hyper X
I’ve got a new job and I will be working in a call centre and due to Covid I need to have my own headset, thanks to this review I will be buying them :)
This will probably be incredibly solid, but I'd you can afford the hyper x cloud, definitely step up. They have the best audio and mic of gaming headsets.
thanks for this i'm getting my friend a headset and was looking for one that was not too expensisve but wasn't a cheap piece of plastic, this vid helped me so much and will be getting this headset for him. Thanks!😁
Got this headset. One thing I don’t like is the mic being loose. When you move it up it drops down which can be heard by your friends/teammates. When you move your head around it can also be heard.
4:02 haha interesting. Det non mirrored reflection and the real reflection in the frame of the glasses gave it away ;) The quality of the reflection was a little to clear to be true. Haha nice touch tho :P Wish all tech youtubers were as creative with their shots as you are🙏🏼
I just got this headset and in my experience the mic picks up your breath a lot, but I have a wind muff from a lapel mic set I have which if I put that on it, it is an amazing mic for the price. Also I wear blue light glasses when I game, they have a very thin metal frame, but there is no uncomfortable pressure on them. But if you wear thicker frames they might be uncomfortable.
i saved up and finally convinced my dad for me to get this😎excited to actually use discord and be able to hear people on discord, this seems like an amazing headset for $50 :) idk if i’ll edit this when i get it cause i’ll probably get it within the next couple weeks so idk
The mic is good, thats it. Compared to my turtle beach recon 200, around the same price are a much batter option guys. The only thing that sucks is they have to be charged. Very good battery life though.
Mine broke within a week. They have a very bad weak point at the end of the head band and they snapped. Superglue didn't fix it, not enough surface area, I guess. I would not recommend them.
